Jennifer, Jennifer, Jennifer . . . you really need to stop apologizing for longer videos. We LOVE them!! (I assume I speak for EVERYONE on this!! lol) Actually, we want MORE of the longer ones. Or just . . . more . . . although you already do SO much. But truly ~ no need to apologize. The longer videos are a joy, gift, and a BONUS!! When I click in the email to watch a video and see a higher number on the clock ~ it's exciting!!!! Happy New Year and thanks for always keeping it interesting and sharing your gift with us.
I take Jennifer’s videos down to our home gym (on my iPad) and watch them. I love that they’re long so I can get lots of steps on the treadmill without thinking about “am I done yet?”, lol. Instead, I am entertained and inspired at the same type, plus, I learn several cardmaking tricks, tips and techniques. Bonus: if I’ve been good about getting my workouts in, I treat myself to a new cardmaking supply or two.
You are one of the only I watch long-er videos. Yours is so informative and you have an awesome speaker voice. The tips you gave in this video is so helpful. All of your cards are gorgeous and I really enjoy watching you stitch on cards.
Thanks for the organization tips. My son used to do cross stitch and he gave me a tip. Cut your thread or threads twice as long, thread both ends through the needle. Put the needle through the hole on the right side then put it through the loop that forms. Your thread is secure and you don't need to tape it. It also works when sewing on buttons.
I love when you do a stitching die video. Your color combinations are fascinating. I love your longer videos. Have a great vacation. Thanks for all you do!!!
I love your videos and blog. Something wonderful that I gleaned from this one had to do with buying multiple dies. I’ve done it unintentionally several times and I’m still kicking myself. I have a large box of duplicate dies and stamps. I never thought to use them when I’m mass producing yet I always make at least 4 cards at a time. It could really save time. I’m feeling great after learning this tip! I probably won’t buy multiple sets unless they’re ridiculously cheap besides I had a grand plan to use the Scan & Cut to die cut stamps (that thing has never left it’s box 😂) and a fancy 12” color printer (also still in the box). This year I resolve to really use some of the crafty things that I just had to have but never used. There I said it- now I have to do it!
Thank you Jennifer! I love storage solutions and ideas! It tickles me so to see your joy and excitement with the stitching dies. 😍🤗♥️ Happy New Year sweet girl! I pray God graces your 2023 with every big and little blessing! 💙🙏🏻💙
You always have such great deals and tips. Since I do embroidery on a regular basis on fabrics the thread tips I’m familiar with. However, I never would have thought to use my bone folder to ensure security around the card edges. Thanks you clever woman!
Thank you Jennifer for being so generous and sharing all of your videos with us, I appreciate it so much! You are amazingly talented and creative, and I learn so much from you! You are the definition of sharing kindness! Happy New Year, stay safe and be healthy! 🫶
Hello Jennifer, I also love the longer videos. I wanted to tell you what I did for something heavy to sit on top of die cuts to hold them together while glue dries.a while back, I bought a bunch of ceramic tiles to make coasters for my kids for Christmas, well as always I bought way to many. I decided to glue them together like 3 or 4 one on top of the other, works like a gem, I use it on almost every card that has die cuts on it. Everyone always says to use a stamping block, but that’s never heavy enough to hold them together, especially when you’re gluing like three or four of them together for dimension. This was like the best thing I’ve come up with, and the ceramic tiles are so cheap at Home Depot. Everyone needs to just try this, take my word for it you’ll love it.
I absolutely love these flower dies! It must be so fun using new goodies. I'm sure it helps keep the creativity flowing. I could think of so many ideas for that set! I totally ADORE FLORALS! The texture of the embossed designs really appeals to me a lot! I LOVE texture!
Another great video. You're stitching cards are so beautiful. I love your color combinations. You make it look so fun to do. I definitely want to try it. Thanks for all of the tips.
I learn so much from your videos, thank you for making them. I thought all of these cards were wow, but the apricot and coral one at the end is amazing, the colors you use together are so pretty! When I have a particular project planned I use dollar store big plastic file holder envelopes to hold the bits together with the dies and paper I plan to use. I use the thick zipper envelopes like you showed to store my favorite, most often used papers. They also work great for really big die sets if you don't have a lot of them. I find it really helps to not have to look for things while I'm crafting and having it already set up makes it easier to start the project. Thanks for showing us how you do it.
So many goood ideas for making progress when you just. . . don't feel like it but wish yoy did. I am so grateful that your really get us (or some of us) and offer a way out of the funk. It's always inspiring to watch and listen to you. xoxo
When I’m first laying out a lot of elements like those flowers on a card I often don’t use adhesive at first. That way I can change my mind if I decide to. Then, when I have it the way I want, I take a quick pic with my phone so I can unstack everything and reassemble it with adhesive, using the pic as my guide. Good if you are like me and don’t always have your best idea first.
I’ve been doing something like that with stamped images and putting them in a box to pick from when I need something to do. But that is a great idea for die cuts and stitched cards.
Thank you for an amazing video - so many tips and those cards are stunning. I had a to smile when you apologised for the long video because I was about 33 minutes in and noticed I only had about 6 minutes to go and that made me sad because the video was nearly over! I thought I had only watched about 10 minutes! You are entertaining, creative and we all appreciate the hard work you put into every video. Wishing you everything good in 2023.
I know this is an older video but I’m rewatching it. I love to get a lot of die cuts, sentiments, etc ready and then mass produce a bunch of cards to have ready and even leave leftover pieces to be able to make just a card or two when I only have a few minutes to do something. Love watching your tips! It would be awesome to actually see you cutting a bunch of die-cuts to learn some tips to make it go smoother for me.
Thank you for this video! It was just what I needed to lift the block that I have had for several months. The ideas you gave me have helped a lot. I appreciate the hard work that you put in making the videos and I have no problem with them being a little long sometimes. I hope you also have a blessed 2023.
I love your videos Jennifer! You are the best card maker and I/we am/are SO lucky & thankful to have you! May God abundantly bless you & your family this year & in those to come! 💕
Have now just purchased my first 3 Spellbinders Stitch Dies and can't wait to use them. I purchased a Spellbinders Die cutting machine last year and am loving it. I produce lots of embroidery work so am looking forward to incorporating stitching and cards. I am also a quilter, so when gifting a quilt I shall add a stitched card too. I love making and giving. Would LOVE to see more videos on stitching cards and layout please. Thank you Jennifer. Linda
Thank you for this video I frequently fail to use products I buy. I love these ideas for advice planning maybe now some of my products will get more love.
I've been watching all of the Jennifer McGuire videos that she discusses card making tips. Specifically, cutting extra dies for future cards. Trying to put them all together in my head so I can try and get organizes with pre-cuts. Thanks for sharing
nice organizing. I won't ever get into stitching on cards, don't care for it, but I'm sure loving your videos of techniques and color combos. thanks, from S. Calif.
I love the stitched cards. I love to embroider so the minute I saw DMC I got happy! I no longer use the bobbins, however, as I find they leave bends in the thread. If you’re using lots of tiny stitches, no problem, but longer stitches show the bends. I travel with skeins of thread on a keychain.
Thanks so much for this video-it really spoke to me. This is how I craft and I’ve not seen anyone do it the same way. Wishing you and your family a fantastic 2023! Hugs!
Thank you, Jennifer, for this awesome video on behind the scenes. I often wonder how you plan your amazing cards. The storage pockets are perfect-I use them, too. I appreciate you explaining the process. I plan to use some of your tips. Wishing you and your beautiful family a fantastic 2023! Happy New Year!!! 🎆🎊
I did counted cross stitch always used DMC floss but the older i get its harder to see, lol. So now i just do papercrafting, great idea for organizing, I use baggies and they are flimsy, your cards are alway so beautiful, thank u again
I am hoping to do more in 2023. I have always wished to do more... but each video takes 2-3 days. My husband just retired so I am hoping that makes it so that I can create more. :)
You are so right that planning is the key! It is just amazing how much we can get done in our "off time". I have stood in line at grocery stores fussy cutting small stamped images when I had to do a lot of them for pin and card exchanges. (This was before the die cutting explosion). I have arthritis in hands, so it was nice doing just a few at a time.
THANK YOU for doing a Spellbinders video. I get the Total Package kit and am always trying to find videos to inspire me on how to use it. PLEASE continue to do these monthly. So very grateful. ❤ Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Jennifer. I hope it will be a splendid one. Thank you for sharing these great tips on planning out, and organizing. Your cards... I just love them!
I laugh whenever you apologize for a long video... your videos are such a treat and so packed full of helpful information. I'm very excited about the Spellbinders New Club Kit options and super excited that you highlighted them today. Thank you, thank you, thank you and happy new year to you and your family!
Jennifer, thank you for this video! So many great tips. I really like the idea of stitching on a card. I have a life time supply or DMC floss, I used to love doing counted cross stitching. My eye sight has gotten so bad that I can't do it anymore...I have to take my glasses off to read the pattern and then put them back on to do the stitching, and then I forget the count. Getting old is not for sissies! I'm pretty sure I can do this.
Your videos are what inspired me to start card making. I'm still very much a beginner, but it had brought me great joy. I have been struggling very badly with my mental health of late and haven't watched many of your videos or greatly enjoyed what little crafting I have been doing. You have really inspired me again to try and get back into my craft room to do a little preparation for when I feel ready to create again. Thank you.
You can do it. Many of us feel this way. Jennifer is The Guru, right? I’ll only watch positive YT or TV. Life’s too short to be down in the dumps but we’re human, and, well …. Remember that you’ll be in my thoughts when it feels not so good just dealing with life. Strangers helping strangers. People care. I care. Pay it forward. Many blessings to you, fellow crafter. ❤
I sometimes enjoy hand-stitching so I may have to purchase a few of those stitch dies. Your cards always look lovely and professional. I bet your recipients are delighted! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! All the health and wealth to you and your family. Thank you for sharing. I did spend one day die cutting snowflakes. I lost track of how many! It was worth it.
I sort my scraps from larger projects (scrapbook pages) and then die cut flowers, leaves etc for my cards. I don't usually do sentiments..but may do a few now too. Thanks.
Goody - I've been waiting for this type of video and great this it's from you! Hope you tell us more about your card tracking system too that you mentioned a few videos again. I'm planning (haha) to set up one soon as part of my craft room cleanup and organization for 2023! Can't decide if I want a file box or binder system. I love the Spellbinder kit too and feel most clubs are a good value. I also use zipper bags and just got a label maker thanks to you and am currently working on spreadsheets to send to my label maker to label all my stamps and dies! Yes-I'm a hard core organizer and got the P-Touch that connects to my PC - all thanks to your wonderful ideas. You've been so helpful to me this year! HAPPY NEW YEAR - I hope 2023 brings you much health and happiness! ❤️☕🎉
I LOVE ALL YOUR TIPS AND TRICKS!!!! You are a fabulous organizer and I have learned so much from you over the years. I’m looking forward to receiving my Large Die of the Month. Thank you for everything you do for our crafting community!!! Enjoy your vacation. Safe travels.
Another way to get the 4 ply, is to use the 2 ply like in your second example. But now you fold the two in half and feed the ends through the needle. Then you have a loop and you can take the thread through this loop on the back. This eliminates the need for a knot or tape at the start.
Another welcome hit video from Jennifer McGuire! In 2022, I had new cabinetry added to my craft room. In 2023, my plan is to reorganize my crafting goodies (LOTS!). I have watched your old craft room video more times than one can imagine. In 2023, I would love to see a new craft room organization video that addresses how your store the new bundles (i.e., foil plates with dies, stamps and/or stencils). May you have the best new year ever!!
Great video! I also love to create many pieces before I make my cards so that I have lots of options! Loving these planning videos you’re doing….this one and your recent birthday one really fill a need in the crafting community, I feel. Thank you so much for all your hard work 💜
Happy New Year to you and yours 😊❤🙏🇧🇧. Happy New Year and God's Blessings for 2023 to Everyone Around the 🌍❤🙏. What a Beautiful Bundle of Crafty Goodies to Start 2023😊. Lovely viewing of your videos always......God Bless.
I am working on giving myself permission to “play” instead of doing all the things that need work, such as home, animals, cooking, cleaning, and working 60 hours a week. There never seems time just to enjoy. I think if I organize my craft things in a more helpful way, I can find ten minutes a day to do something crafty. Thank you for the inspiration!
Go for it!! It helps so much, both the prep and the making but most of all it's essential to get even a little tiny bit of creating and time for yourself.
I LOVE the organization of the stitching on the go projects. I'm going to be visiting one of my sisters in the hospital, six hours from home. I'm headed to the art room right now to prep some stitching to do while I'm gone. (I plan to do some stitching and quilling snowflakes!❄❄❄) Hope you have a fantastic vacation!
You are my touch stone Jennifer. I so very much appreciate your time and effort you put in to making these wonderful videos. Happy New year lovely lady. Xx
Thank you so much Jennifer for this video. All the cards are stunning, so many beautiful ideas and helpful tips. May you and yours have a happy holidays and a bless happy new year ❤

I found it much easier to stitch on paper than to do needlepoint or counted cross stitch. You might want to try to see if that works for you, too.
Beautiful cards💕
Thank you for taking the time to make a video! This is why your followers love you!! Happy New Year!!!
I am hoping to do more in 2023. I have always wished to do more... but each video takes 2-3 days. My husband just retired so I am hoping that makes it so that I can create more. :)

Such great tips of organization. Really appreciate your thought process.
Love!! Thank you for all you share with us!
So beautiful. You are a card Goddess!
Happy New Year! What a nice way to wake up!
Beautiful video - Thank you!
WOW! this was so inspiring!! Thank you
Great video! I also love to create many pieces before I make my cards so that I have lots of options! Loving these planning videos you’re doing….this one and your recent birthday one really fill a need in the crafting community, I feel. Thank you so much for all your hard work 💜
Happy New Year to you ❤️
Happy New Year to you and yours 😊❤🙏🇧🇧.
Happy New Year and God's Blessings for 2023 to Everyone Around the 🌍❤🙏.
What a Beautiful Bundle of Crafty Goodies to Start 2023😊.
Lovely viewing of your videos always......God Bless.
Cute haul!💜
There is something in our DNA that calls for organizing in January. Thanks for getting me off to a great start.
(I plan to do some stitching and quilling snowflakes!❄❄❄)
Hope you have a fantastic vacation!
Great video! I just ordered a bunch of stuff to do these and can hardly wait to get them. Great ideas for travel work!!! Thanks for all you do.
Great video! Loved this one Jennifer. Good ideas, especially about pre-stamping and cutting sentiments. Hope to do some soon.
