We now refer to platform 13 and 14 as 'nine and three-quarters' in our family.
The dreaded platform 13 - can’t tell you how many times I’ve arrived at the station with a few minutes to spare, only to find out my train is leaving from platform 13……hence commences the blind panic, and a futile attempt to break the 400 metre world record. 😂😅
😂😂 we can relate to this, as long as you made the train 🙌🏼
Good video manchester Piccadilly looks like a beautiful station.
Good video.
thank you for this video. i fly to Cuba on the 9th of this month all alone, and i have never travelled from manchester, so watching this has given me some reassurance. can i just ask, in the train station when you came to those barriers where you had to scan something.. what is it you scan? my train tickets i have on my phone on the trainline app, so do i need to buy something else? i hope this makes sense, thanks again.
You’re welcome, I’m glad the video gave you some reassurance. And yes you just scan the e-ticket on the Trainline app and then you’re good to go 😁(there’s also a help desk at the train station if there’s any issues) we hope you enjoy your stay, feel free to ask any other questions 🙌🏼
@@TravelWithAandL Two tickets though the train is direct from Sheffield to Manchester airport in the early morning. Which ticket to scan? The 2nd one , right?
@@ajeeshnair1927 sorry for the late reply, if your ticket is through the Trainline app you’ll scan the first ticket 😊
No coach numbers on the train bogies ?
On the boards there’s information of the destination and what platform to go to 😊
Hello I was wondering if the train from Manchester Airport to Salford Crescent has luggage spaces because I am most probably coming with at least two suitcases
Hello, I can’t 100% remember but even if there aren’t luggage spaces there should be enough space on the train to fit suitcases.
Hi! It's always the same platform? It's always the 13?
Hi, I think it can vary sometimes. It’s best to check online on the day of travel
Is contactless accepted?
You can use contactless at the ticket machines but you’ll need to scan a ticket to go through the barriers 😊
Thanks for this video. It has reassured me too as to how to access the terminals after getting off the train. Do you have a video of how to access terminal 2 from this place where this video ends. Many thanks.
I'll be travelling from Newcastle by myself first time.
We’re glad it reassured you, in the next few weeks we should be able to film that for you. If that’s too late, there’s lots of helpful signs about and people you could ask for directions 😁
Thanks for getting back to me. My eyes would be peeled for the video 😂
It's just that I'll be travelling to the airport from a long way off, changing a train along the way and don't want to be late and miss my flight. The current travelling chaos according to the media is stressing me out as it is. Don't want to get lost along the way whilst searching for terminal 2
Many thanks. 😂
@@anniedesai4351 sorry we haven’t had the chance to film that video yet, we travelled not too long ago and the airport wasn’t actually that busy, there are lots of signs around the airport so it will be hard to get lost 😁
@@TravelWithAandL Thanks for your reassurance. Much appreciated.
Next time get a bloody taxi, platform 13 at Piccadilly, then the inconvenience at the Airport station, phew
😂😂😂😂
