@kyassius This outdoor camera is controlled using RS485 and the Pelco-D protocol which is standard, and not additional software. The only additional software will be if you want to control this over the internet and is all included in our standard web based control panel.
You can either daisy chain the cameras or have them in a star arrangement, so to answer your question, you're describing having them arranged as a daisy chain which is no problem (with no wire going back to the DVR as you already have the -ve doing this). If you need further information, just e-mail us.
Unfortunately I am not familiar with the Chinavasion. In theory providing the DVR supports RS485 then it should work. Certainly we can guarantee correct operation on our own DVR recorders which control any RS 485 camera providing it is a supporting language and baud rate such as Pelco D 2400. Henry
What I don't understand is how to connect more than 1 ptz camera to the Rs485 on the dvr. Do you have a video or any links to pictures. I am thinking that the + & - from the rs485 on the Dvr connect to the + & - on the 1st cameras ptz conection ??? Then do I have take a new wire from the 1st cameras + & - ptz conection out to the 2nd cameras + & - ptz conection ??? Is this correct if so do I need to take any wires back the Dvr or just finish at the last camera. Thanks for any help.
Hi there Thank you for your message. The answer will totally depend on which product you have - I'd suggest you speak with the supplier for your camera as they'll be best placed to answer questions regarding it. Good luck!
HEY JP I HAD THAT VERY SAME ISSUE ON ONE OF MY CAMERAS I SIMPLY WENT UP AND CHECKED THE CONNECTIONS TO THE CAMERA I HAD A LOOSE CONNECTION SIMPLY CHECK YOUR CABLE CONNECTION
hello sirs, thanks for your replies, i already checked my camera and i found out that the problem is on the flex from the board to the lens connection. i just simply replace the flex connector with new one and my camera is working again.
Thanks for your reply. The video signal should work with any PAL DVR, however the control depends on the RS-485 capabilities of the DVR. I'd recommend our System 2.1 range of DVRs for this. Please see our website - www.cctv42.co.uk for more information.
Hi there. If you need drive belts for a PTZ camera you would need to speak to the people you bought it from as they are all different sizes. They may not have spare parts, only selling complete cameras.
Whilst I don't know whether you're crazy or not, the voice over most certainly isn't Robert Rankin. It's our noble leader Henry himself... ...or maybe they're one and the same?

@elguerojmnz1 This camera is £399 (Sterling). We can dispatch to the USA, but these by default are PAL cameras. If you need an NTSC equivalent, please send an e-mail to info@cctv42.co.uk and we will try to help you out. :o)
guillermo andres pajaro vera Hi there. Unfortunately, we don't speak much Spanish here, however if you are saying that more fixed cameras are better than 1 PTZ camera, if you don't have a full time camera operator you could well be right! What are you trying to do?

Hello, is this camera compatible with the DVR units from chinavasion?
