    The first cop with the mother/son duo is ridiculously nice. He’s polite, not even slightly rude, and just doing his job. Had they had the same answers and didn’t start acting squirrelly he really may have let them go with just a warning.
    “My mom has a medical marijuana card”. “Oh yes Officer, I do, and I smoked a joint about 15 minutes ago”. That’s what they should have said. I don’t know if it would have done them any favors, but it might have been helpful.

      For real. Here in Australia they don't even show up many times and get annoyed when you call them. There was a restaurant in the heart of Melbourne that had thugs smashing windows and threatening owners who were barricaded inside. Cops told them to hide and call them back later if they're still there. My apartment is in the same area and some dude was caught on camera trying to break in. Cops didn't want to even file a report or look at the security footage. They rarely show up for active home invasion calls either. Welfare or missing person reports barely get attention unless it's a big media case.
      But get caught speeding, protesting, reporting about corrupt politicians as a journalist or defending yourself against a violent attack with a weapon and half a dozen squad cars will show up within minutes here. All our police just got a massive pay rise too recently ironically enough and are widely hated these days. The two cops in these video that actually cared are a rare breed in many countries.

    Back in 2013-2014 I rented a van from Enterprise in San Diego, and to my surprise as I was about to start using it to haul some stuff from one location to another, I found approx. 16 large drug bricks of marijuana with Santa Muerte imagery on each brick I could see in the compartments where you fold the seats. I called the cops immediately, and dispatch literally asked me to drive it to a police station. I said hell no, you need to come claim this -- I wasn't going to risk getting stopped and then risk having to explain it regardless if that dispatch call was recorded. They told me it would be a while until they could send someone. I had to wait 2 hours for these guys to come to my location, and the second the cop sees it, suddenly there's 5 more cars in the parking lot. So when I see someone with a rental literally like "I don't know where that came from" I don't immediately discount their story. The best part? Enterprise didn't even offer to comp my rental when I'd explained what happened. They offered me a discount.

      The load was theirs but didn't had any physical evidence like prints or DNA, so yeah the PD couldn't pin the load in them, but I think they ratted out their boss because he was caught doing the exact thing in a white SUV too, they were waiting for him in the USA side, an older man business owner of course that I wouldn't had suspected not in a million years, he was caught with triple the amount, his mistake was that the SUV was his property, IMO the old man got cocky thinking that them 2 didn't talk, still the old man was just fresh not worried one bit, that's the scary part, that job is so not worth it. The narrator goes like "he makes the biggest bust in his career" / the cop thinking - I just put a huge target on my back, time to move again./ If I work traffic I stick to traffic violations, and let the dope to the undercovers that actually are well protected... That guy didn't give a wet fart about that lady and her kid. He "knew" he was going to find something in the car as soon as he pulled them over, and their argument about an illegal search was somehow additional proof that they were guilty. He then went to trying to get them to admit on camera that they were guilty. There was nothing friendly about it - he was trying to elicit a confession.
      He also likely didn't have probable cause to be searching their bags in the trunk. He claimed that there was an odor of marijuana in the cab - the mom had a medical card, which explains that entirely (and they had no evidence that she had used it in a state where it wasn't legal). Searching the trunk based on a supposed odor of marijuana in the cab makes no sense.

Even if they didn't have anything to arrest him for at that point, you'd think he'd be able to call the mother and get permission to search the vehicle since her son was missing and his car has freaking bullet holes in it. Or at least be able to get a warrant to search the car since the owner is missing, the car is all shot up and an unlicensed driver, who lied about their address, was in possession of the vehicle. Isn't driving without a license, an hour after smoking up, an arrestable offense? • @ColonelForkEyes
      @ColonelForkEyes 6 місяців тому

      @@SVD_NL Agreed but then you've got to wonder if it's as simple as that. In these kinds of situations if somebody fcuks up, their family often has to make it right.
      I can easily envision a situation where, say, Sena's father or brother was dealing on the street for the local boss, who fronted them a KG to sell, expecting 20k cash to come back the next day. That hypothetical family member got busted or robbed, so now they owe the boss 20k. The boss approaches Sena and his mom saying "your family member owes us 20k. Either pay us the 20k plus 1k interest for every day it's late, or you can drive this car from A to B for me, we'll let your brother/father go and we'll call it quits. If you don't pay us the money by whatever means, all three of you pay the ultimate price"
      Put it this way, in all the times you've seen highway patrol busts on TV, how often is it a scared-looking teenager and his mom who looks mortified by the whole thing? I'm pretty certain that they would have been doing this under duress, not for profit. Like you say, 20k is minimal financial recompense for the risk level of transporting that value of merchandise.

      Not sure how anyone see's the Homeland guy as being honest. He was two faced 8f anything. Acting like they were equals while looking for anything to lock them up. I bet he pulled that nice guy routine with hundreds of others that weren't carrying more drugs than the Rolling Stones. Good that his act paid off finally but that still looks like a setup right from tailgating them to get the kid to speed in the first place. He even admitted that he was tailgating on purpose and wasn't going to let them pass the truck. Everyone is blinded by the drug bust and missing the actual details. That's how Trump got elected lol

    63 days in jail for failing to report death to a medical examiner, REALLY?! She had a restraining order against her son, regardless if it was 'active' or not! Speaks for itself and so does the guy not having a key and CLEARLY was not welcome! This is utterly disgusting that this was allowed by the prosecution.

      It's probably still a pending case. There's still a chance he could be charged for murder if it actually did it.

      They have her body and even if we don't really know how she died they do know. So most likely they couldn't find any signs from her from dying from outside reasons like the son being physical to her. There is possibility the son came to the house and argument started which led to the mom getting a seizure, we really don't know even the age of the woman. Only thing this video tells us that there was no real evidence that anybody murdered her even if the son left her to rot in the house. He was anyway clearly a drug addicted person with the way he mumbled away at the police.

      He probably does have a key but just doesn't want to open the door for the officers. Which was why he pretended to struggle when removing the door.

    You know that when they without hesitation are admitting possesion of weed and having smoked before driving, that there must be something bigger they dont wanna tell. They're hoping the officer will ease when they give him the information he apparently wants. I love it.
