A note at 45min in - You said you cannot take pinning checks more than once per phase. That is not correct, any time someone shoots you with pinning you check. A single unit however cannot cause multiple pinning checks (if they somehow had multiple pinning weapons). But different units shooting can cause pinning checks to the same unit multiple times
Those mechanicum models are lovely. Hoping GW add Dark mechanicum to 40K as well - would be a great way to flesh out some shenanigans with Chaos Knights too (which I’m still waiting to see you play Winters!) ;)
59:48 explosions hits don't have to go on Saul unless he's the only eligible moddle to be hit same with Sargent's because it's distributed same as shooting. You don't have to put it on the individual moddle hit you just can only remove moddles that were hit so you don't have to take saves on the characters form explosions
Discovered your content with the World Eaters vs EC Horus Heresy battle report from last month and I love it to bits. For a newcomer to Horus Heresy, it is extremely good at explaining both army layout, tactical options on the battlefield while keeping it entertaining and easy to learn. Definitely the most enjoyable to follow. Many thanks and keep making more !
Amazing game guys! I agree with your comparison of 7th Ed rules and your narration - these HH videos feel like your 7th ed battle reports and I love it.
You guys were fun to watch and listen to as I assemble and paint models. Be back and forth on the mission and between the two players was very entertaining. Keep it up.
Wow this game!!!!!!! Just amazing! Winters, thanks for playing Heresy. Your batreps are the best! And I never thought I would ever see that Mechanicum army again…. Thanks sir!
Awesome batrep team. Winters, you do such a good job of telling the story, explaining the rules and player choices, and keeping it flowing. Very entertaining, keep it up!
1:53:26 not to be pedantic, but only Angron was on Istvaan iii surface. Mortarion and Horus were in their ships above the planet and Fulgrim was prepping defenses on Istvaan v.
We know from the short story, Little Horus, that it was the last time Horus himself deployed, and Mortarian confirms he was on the planet, but I forget in which book. Fulgrim didn't go down there though
Hey, really enjoyable batrep. I love that you're taking on the early heresy narrative and incorporate it into your game, those old black books had just the best lore content of any GW publication. I'm going to go through your recent vids to find more of this. :)
Great battle, beautiful models as always! A note, fearless models are not allowed to shroud and shroud is only against the attack you are reacting against.
As someone whose hasn't really played much SINCE 7th ed, the comparison is spot on and these batreps are perfect! Lovely armies too! Poor Lucius though he was such a good guy...
How do you get that bronze/copper look for the Admech? It looks close to the one from your tutorial years ago, but a bit less red to the metallic color. Thinking of going for the "Duracell" color scheme but for Tau.
I loved this battle report. Besides being a great game I got to see Mechanicum on the board. I'm tempted to try a similar Cybernetica list now. I always overcharge my reactor on the plasma mortar and roll the max damage to myself. Glad to see it's not just me
Without knowing all the ins and outs, the Horus Heresy ruleset seem to be my kind of game. Now I just want some type of initiative value combined with dice rolls so everyone gets to fire at the same time but semi-randomized order, allowing for even more tactics, instead of the whole "one side fires everything at once".
Could someone please tell how Automata models do a reaction. Automat models can't react because of the Automata rule and been fearless. I'm I missing something?
Ah, these HH batreps are much better than 40k ones. I cannot watch 40k's due many reason (mainly due rules like oath of moment, invul and mortal wounds everywhere etc..). For some reason HH rules feels right.
3000 points you can take 750 points worth of LOW which is scary to think you can take a warhound titan at 3k game. Which seems to be a pretty standard number of points for games. hahaha
Apart from 18 Legions & their Primarchs you get: Traitor Cultists & Imperial Militia Daemons Sisters of Silence Assassins Imperial/Traitor Knights Solar Auxilia & Mechanicum
WE NEED MORE HERESY GAMES!!! these are actually amazing i love it

But please in plastic after they rereleased the other stuff in plastic
I love u are doing Heresy again on regular basis. Watching you play Heresy is how I found you on uTube and u got me back to playing again
Awesome BatRep! Probably some of the best HH Content out there! You make Horus Heresy great again ;)

Love seeing your Mechanicum again!
Real!! ❤
Very much appreciate the detailed descriptions of the armies.
This video is a great primer for when I have the new plastic Mechanicum box.
This is why I love heresy! The dice tell the story and it's not over until it's over! Excellent game, thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Always a treat on a Sunday

18:00 Love these Emperors Children!
The Mechanicum looks SCARY!

Been really enjoying the steady flow of battle reports Winters, keep up the great work pal!
Got really tense there at the end. Loving your work as always Winters
Very impressive battle and love the story driven element which the HH setting and rules seems to drive 🫡
Nice, love your Horus Heresy battle reports

Just awesome, SO much fun this one. It totally distracted me from painting.
I need more of this!!! Amazing!!!
Happy to see more Horus Heresy!
I'd love to see some more photos of the Mechanicum. I'm working on my own force with bronze armour and can use more inspiration 😊
Brother, i love your videos! keep it up! May the Holy Omnissiah bless you with its algorithm.
Map is effing gorgeous bruv
Istvaan III is my favorite campaign. A lot of people don't know the Mechanicum was there!
Really enjoyed this one. Love a hero taking an unexpected victory! Do you have any dice!!
Really cool battle report!
this Emperors Children army is beatiful! if it ever goes on sale, I could be a buyer 🙂

Is the same from my tutorial years ago with one exception - shake the nuln oil.
Thanks! @@wintersSEO
I love how the robot units did more damage blowing up than attacking.
If these were in plastic, I would absolutely collect 30 admech... but alas
Good news
Cant wait to watch it all

Great video! Those Mechanicum look great, how did you do it?
Fantastic stuff
I like narrative winters
Fantastic game!
40k mechanicum desperately needs the HH aesthetic. This army is the coolest looking army imo.
Could someone please tell how Automata models do a reaction. Automat models can't react because of the Automata rule and been fearless. I'm I missing something?
Bring Danny back for a game sometime, Winters.
Epic bloodbath! I like it!)
But Lucius as a loyalist - sorry but no, i can't imagine this) This was not him at least because he died :D

I stayed with 7th ed 40k, and although I stayed with hh1.0 vs 2.0. The 1.0 battles feel more 40k compared to the newer editions.
more heresy please winters!
well, i only have read the first 3 books of horus heresy, so... :D (gw, please re-print the following books!)
Simply cant beat heresy games! Damn I wish I could use my pointy ears in heresy!
You can use eldar in heresy, there are community rules for them. the rules are called "liber antiquia"
how do we get on the channel??
love to get on and make some content
Any idea when you'll be selling more of your new dice in other colors?
No plans at this time. This might be the only limited run for quite some time.
Yesss
I wonder, could you use mech models from the Mechwarrior franchise as titans on a 40k battle mat game ?
I want that mechnicum list
What a game I love the purple armor too bad they went demon Nazis after the hours heressey
Pretty sure they were already nazis before the heresy. Thats kind of the imperiums whole thing
Finally some ad-mech would love to see some ad-mech 10th edition on this channel. I really loved the 8th edition admech reports 😢

So what Armys are in the Horus Heresy ? I thought it was only Space Marines ?
Apart from 18 Legions & their Primarchs you get:
Traitor Cultists & Imperial Militia
Daemons
Sisters of Silence
Assassins
Imperial/Traitor Knights
Solar Auxilia
& Mechanicum
@@skywatcheradept Thanks so much bud.
@@skywatcheradept Don't forget Custodes!
These traitors are having a mad time shifting Saul and his buddies
Comment for the comment gods
Engagement for his engagement throne!
Man space marines seem really strong compared to mechanicum
