Discover RC do you have a video showing how to install the PPM cable for the spektrum receiver on the 250 vortex ? I am using a DX7 Spektrum transmitter. If you don't have a video do you know of any that demonstrates the procedure? Thank you!
Are the 2 peeps still up to date? I tried to iniiate a new setup wizard and there were many peeks and after many trial & error I somehow initiate this, but I believe that I changed bands several times.
It was charged completely. I talked to Horizon Hobby and they told me I had to use a satellite receiver to get it to bind again. Just a FYI for others in the same boat.
+59poppN Taranis is popular for the range and signal strength when flying in trees and through objects-it's a great way to go. I haven't tested this spektrum rx in those kinds of conditions.
Want to note that the wizard steps have changed since this video. It threw me off because I tried to run the wizard blind without the OSD (have removed analog VTX and installed digital HD VTX) and the steps in this video simply wouldn't work. Wouldn't get past first two beeps. Used to be the following all neutral - roll left - neutral - yaw left - neutral - throttle min - neutral - pitch down - neutral - left stick at bottom left - neutral - right stick down (to calibrate level) (Note: down = stick down, up = stick up) Now they've added steps to record other end of range, so total sequence is. all neutral - roll left - roll right - neutral - yaw left - yaw right - neutral - throttle min - throttle max - neutral - pitch down - pitch up - neutral - left stick in bottom left - neutral - right stick down (to calibrate level)
I dont have a monitor fpv or the goggles yet, still wainting on it from ebay, so im also configuring it blind but the lights stay red after the star wars beep, it wont throttle, I go to cleanflight and motors work fine and the controller throttle also works fine. Dont know what else to do know.
Hey, I hate to look like a noob. but I bought a vortex pro came with a Spektrum 2048 racing reciver. also bought a Spektrum DX6I to fly with. But I can't seem to bind it the two. according to the screen its saying no RX . Yet when I turn off the controller the led on the receiver goes out. Turn the controller back on and the led comes back on.. but yet still no RX displayed in my screen. Any ideas?
I think the Blade Version (green) comes with a receiver. this model is made by immersion and sold to Horizon for resale. The Immersion Vortex (red) does not come with a receiver.
Sadly the DX6i even tho it says dsmx and dsm2 on it wont bind to the Dsmx receiver. I took the radio and drone into the hobby shop and they tryed.. thinking maybe it was a faulty receiver but then we tryed an off the shelf dx6 and it binded up no problem. The Dx6i is an older model and running an older version of firmware. so unless there is away to update for the new protocols then you might want to consider upgrading your radio.
Hi DiscoverRC. Could you please check in Cleanflight if the Board Alignment - YAW Adjustment is set to 90 degrees and let me know ? On mine it is set to 90 degrees but that sound strange...i was expecting 0 degrees !!! TIA
+IceCreams62 I haven't taken off the top plate to see how the fc board is mounted on the quad. If it is mounted arrow to the right the yaw adjustment should be + 90-that may be what is going on. If straight ahead then yes it would be 0, but first check the board direction. Have you flown it?
+Discover RC Not yet. The arrow on the board points to the front so i expected 0 degrees, but after the OSD setup 90 degrees are 'pushed' on clmeanflight...this is what sounds strange for me!!!! The quad avatar on cleanflight in any case moves right so all seems to be good. This is the reason i'm asking you to check your cleanflight setup. And sorry for my bad English !!!

How to Bind Vortex Pro 250...."Now you just bind in the usual fashion (doesn't show how, just shows light of Vortex)" Really!!!!??? How do you bind the DX controller to the Vortex? What button?
Sorry but I didn't show how because most people who have a spektrum radio know how to bind it to a spektrum receiver and anyway it depends on what radio you have. It's easy to find it in the instructions. If you tell me your radio I can link you the manual.
That was a surprisingly fast reply. Thanks for taking the time to reply to your viewers. I have a dx6, but I did figure out how to bind it. I just can't seem to figure out how to setup the drone with the receiver now. It's tough to find simple instructions online, surprisingly.
+cartman4241 yes - you will need to reverse the aileron and rudder channels and adjust the end points. Also to get all the flight modes you need to assign the 5th channel to a 3 position switch. I'll go over that next.

i can't get osd to come back, i had it at first but now its gone, also my transmitter shows im connected buy motors won't spin, i did all updates

Why does it say blade on the side?Does HH own Immersion RC or are they in partnership?
The blade version is sold to Horizon. I think the only difference is that it comes with a receiver and it is green.

If you bound it have you found the video signal? You should be able to run through the wizard.
all you need is a battery,reciever and transmitter?
You need a battery, transmitter and goggles. Rx is included.
