SPOLIER REVIEW: This is a 1 hour short by Fujimoto, it’s pretty crazy how much is portrayed in that time. Half way through, you’re like this is too wholesome, Fujimoto going to pull something… and yeah, even though I was fully expecting it, the plot still felt like taking 2 combos to the liver, followed up by 10 more just for good measure. Thanks Fujimoto, I will be suing for the damages… but then will pay you back 2 fold, just to show my appreciation you insane artist. Whats portrayed here is so deeply personal to every artist, it feels almost autobiographical. It portrays the work you put in when no one is looking, the desperation of trying to get better, the pain of your soul when you know your work isn’t up to standard, and the lies that you “drew it quickly in 5 mins”, “that it isn’t your best work”, all so that you can continue to hear the praises which inspire you to draw. - *or perhaps so you don’t hear the criticisms which tell you what you already know, but dread to hear, that you aren't good enough* All of that which I just mentioned, is how I feel about the first 15 mins of this 1 hour short, but it doesn’t stop, it keeps unfolding, building meaning upon meaning, making each shot more personal, until it has you right where he wants you, and he hits you with the RKO, the flying 360 twist, suplex to the dome, march on stage and slap your face-emotional scene you knew was coming. 10/10 I can’t think of anything that should be done or said differently. It’s a piece of media that isn’t trying to be more than it is, and is so honestly itself, that I have to rate it by its own standard. Thus I give it one of my very rare 10s :3
Listen man, Ive worked with many channels, you've got great RAW talent. Please keep working on your craft in a few years you could be the best in this. But it takes hours and time keep it up and keep being consistent! Subbed
Don't get me wrong, I like look back, but it's not gonna be seated among my favourites. I think the main reason for this is the tiny amount of time given to the whole story, and also the fact that certain things about it feel forced. It is good and enjoyable nonetheless.
@@therandommusicguy4773 Nah, very understandable criticism. The film definitely could use a bit more runtime to space out its moments. Then again, the studio is aiming to be faithful to the source material and avoid padding it.
