I share some tools and materials between hobbies. Brake cleaner can be good for cleaning watches. I use cocktail sticks to clean really dirty watches along with cotton buds.
@@philtowle4683 ok thanks. I have found the same things
I love how simple and understandable your videos are, I'm sure you'll have thousands of followers one day. Greetings from Turkey 🇹🇷🙌
He's got a unique approach to content. I live under a rock most days, so I'm not sure if there's other similar channels out there, but I look forward to his uploads for sure. He knows what he's doing!
@@YİĞİT_ATİK thanks so much. Your comment means a lot to me
@@ForestWoodworks thanks so much. I try and make my channel unique as possible
Great video. I don't use Polywatch anymore. I got Maguires Plastx at the auto parts store. It is made to polish acrylic headlights. For the price of a small tube of Polywatch you get a large bottle. It will last forever. With as many watches as you do it would be a more cost effective option.
@@thomasflynn5366 ok thanks, next time I will buy some and give it a try
I have used t cut before
@@philtowle4683 ok thanks I can’t wait to try
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing your process.
Thanks so much for watching
Great video… thanks!
@@Boingy thanks for watches
I pick up old wind up watches with date. I believe they were made in Hong Kong so they're going to be from the 80s or before. I got them cheap they work but the glass are all cracked looking. I was thinking about changing the glass but I haven't seen any on ebay way to compare them with for price. Do a gold with the stretchy strap. Second thing batteries I bought batteries on eBay and they seem very poor quality. Cheers Graham
@@theaussienurseflipper.8113 thanks so much. I would buy batteries in bulk at your local jewelry supply store. Look around there are more than you think
0:12 YES!!! This was my first question after "watching" the first of your videos. 👍🎦👍

Thank for this video! This is excellent. Do you measure strap lengths when selling? And how do you measure bracelet lengths when the bracelet does not unfold flat?
@@coolguymcgee123 yes always. I use a fabric measuring tape. Like they use for sewing
To anyone who wants to change a battery, be careful not to touch the copper coil or it’s toast!
@@Bill-hd2kj right, I should have brought that up
You can polish stainless steel with scotch-brite pads! 09:43 it's so tight I can't fit my tool in there 😂😂
@@davidking6617 oh thanks I will try that next time
As you buy so many watches and bands keep all the broken gold filled and strip the steel off , if you can accumulate 1 kilo you can expect between 25-35 grams of pure gold which you can sell on eBay for scrap recovery with a price of $3000 or best offer.
@@NickVanCleak ok thanks I will definitely keep them
The orange one is the actual back opener, the indigo one is the bezel remover.
@@petarkecman ok thanks
I never knew what was the watch holder for 😅
@@albertbarrantes3026 hahaha thanks
Thanks for sharing. Very useful. I'm curious, when you put in a new battery, do you leave it in until the watch sells?
@@robertjordan7323 yes, I do. I will always pull the stem so the battery is not in use

@@ElderPinto254 thanks for right. Unfortunately there are 0 watchmaker courses where I am. I looked all over
