Queen fan from the first hour here: when he recorded Innuendo he was literally using the microphone stand to stay up, wearing a pigiama in his bedroom which was also used as "medical clinic".
@@adriantrusca1245slightly hypocritical there mate. Lambert may not be Freddie, but he is one of the people that Freddie sang about. The reason that Lambert can sing in "high heels and lipstick" is because queen were huge advocates of people living the life that they want to. Freddie was a cross dresser, so the fact that you are highlighting Lambert for this is just an insult to Freddie's memory.
This song is my absolute favorite of theirs. Criminally underrated. Masterpiece. Edit: Relisten to it for sure, Lex. To me it's in the Bohemian Rhapsody league.
The Innuendo album is a taste of what Queen would have sounded like in the 90s if Freddie Mercury would have lived: mixing their best elements from the 70s and 80s with a fresh sound to create something new.
both Brian and Steve are playing the flamenco guitar The song was finished when Brian asked Steve to add some spanish guitar licks over what Brian already did
Since I occasionally comment, I feel obliged to mention I painted the drummer Roger Taylor on this video. Most of my clothes were splattered in paint by the end. (I've worked in animation since the 1980's).
This my favorite queen song. It's like a swan song and it summarizes their art. Powerful, complex, elegant, dreamy, ambiguous, colorful and really really rock!
At the end of the song, when the thumbnails for recommended showed, the one Lex wondered about is “Breakthru” - you will LOVE it ! Please please please react to it 😊
This song is like a encore for humanity. All the good, all the bad. Hope, optimism and celebration, but also oppression, control and fear. They packed it all in this song. Quite a feat by itself! Also, it's worth noting that this is the album they made after Freddie Mercury found out he had AIDS, which may have something to do with the new depth and seriousness of the title track. RIP Freddie Mercury, an unparalleled performer!
The number one most underrated song for Queen is My Melancholy Blues, please react to this awesome song. Totally different and unexpected from Queen. Thank you for all you guys do.
This was an epic album I was so happy when it came out, then not long after Freddie died, I was really hoping for a Queen Tour. The same thing happened when John Lennon was murdered. He had a new Album and... Two of the Greatest taken away way too soon, very sad!!!👌👌👍👍✌✌😁😁
Yesterday I watched your reaction for Bogemian rapsody and suggest you this song. And this is it! Suggested that Queen become famous after Bohemian rapsody. But for me, Innuendo show how Queen grown and changed. They stopped on their peak. Their music and texts bacame better from year to year. Who know what epic piece of art they could creat if Freddy still was along us. But at the same time, what lyrics they used after Freddie's illness.
Top right video is for their song Breakthru which is from their 1989 album The Miracle. If you want to see what will be one of your favorite videos by them check out the title track from that album The Miracle.
That's really genius stuff. Will be talked about in 300 years or so. Ahead of... its century or.. if we're in course of degrading its past its century but with 20st instruments// boh rhap is pure art and heart. this one is a great thinkers philosophy+ its more difficult to sing.
This has been my favourite song since hearing it as a 7 year old...31 years ago...I didn't even have the awareness and knowledge to appreciate the lyrics but the sheer majesty of the song gripped me and as I grew older and matured to understand the words the song only became that much more powerful to me. Love it ❤️
Epic song. Stargazer - Rainbow; Xanadu - Rush; Kashmir - Led Zeppelin. This was Queens epic. No wonder Robert Plant was chosen to sing it at Freddie's tribute concert.
Yes, Freddie knew he was dying when this was recorded and released... 'Innuendo' (1991) was the Queen record released just months before Freddie passed away. Queen's last studio album was 'Made in Heaven' released in 1995, completing the tracks and songs that Freddie Mercury had recorded prior to his death.
Completely agree with Lex's take on this having the same "epic" scope as Bohemian Rhapsody - while I think they're both monumental triumphs to music, I actually like this one more as it's less overplayed for me. For another long, deep and thought-provoking song (if not nearly as complex instrumentally), may I please suggest "O Superman" by Laurie Anderson? Thank you both for doing what you do!
YOU GUYS HIT THE MEANING/CONTEXT OF THIS ONE RIGHT ON THE HEAD. (This is the same reason why my two FAV albums are Innuendo & Made In Heaven, and my all-time FAV song is: “DON’T TRY SO HARD” …Fred left us so many”messages” to think about. SUGGESTION: “THE MIRACLE” official MV (This is Brian May’s FAV song written by Freddie, because even tho Fred was well aware of his terminal diagnosis, the song is so full of HOPE & OPTIMISM… and the MV is ADORABLE.)
The title track from their last album while Freddie was still alive, and BY FAR my favourite song of theirs. This was written snd recordeed during that mad scramble in Freddie's last year or so, when he knew he was dying and he didn't have much time left, and they were determined to just make as much music as they could while he was still with them and could still do it. That's why everything on this album is SO POWERFUL, because it was all about Freddie's mortality and immortality, and the legacy he wanted to leave behind because he wanted to leave behind some truly amazing music, because music meant more to him than anything else in the world, aside maybe from his friends and family. In the end they made SO MUCH music that there was enough for TWO albums, so they put the most choice cuts on Innuendo but then after Freddie died they put together another final album, Made In Heaven, which was a fitting tribute to Freddie and his genius.
Their last hit song in the U.S. Not a top 10 hit, but it did crack the top 20 (#17) back in '91. I recall it DID get some airplay on Chicago classic rock radio stations, but not that much.
Yes. Very perceptive......... Freddie knew he was dying........ Looking into the face of Death is mind blowing. When i was told one night in hospital i had Cancer. This song came immediately to mind. I wanted reassurance. I wanted the "mask" to be released for comfort, that there was something beyond our lives here. Thank God the Doctors made it all better....... ha ha. But this is very deep song. Lots of questions. Thanks for the reaction. Was great.
It's hard to believe Freddy has been gone over 30 years. I was in college when he made public his diagnosis and was dead in days. He was such an awsome character and artist. Absolutely up there with the great Paul McCartney.
Visually I think this video was ahead of its time & still stands up, IMO. Fantastic track….we’ll keep on try and keep on asking questions. Looking great Lex!
both Brian and Steve are playing the flamenco guitar The song was finished when Brian asked Steve to add some spanish guitar licks over what Brian already did
One of Freddie's last songs. 😢 I'm glad, in my lifetime I was able to se him perform twice on their tour in 1977, and again in 1984. He ruled the stage and the audience. No one like him.
The last masterpiece of the band where you can clearly heard what treasure Freddy was and how good Bryan,John and Roger really use to be.I still go from time to time see concert of what is Queen now but is not the same.
What is not to love about this song? Great vocals, stunning guitars (Steve Howe from Yes/Asia played the flamenco guitar). The song was written by Roger and Freddie. And the video, a masterpiece.
This was never performed live since Freddie was so Ill at the time. This, BoRhap and March Of The Black Queen were easily their most creative, but Brian wrote one called Prophet's Song that was way up there. You should give it a shot. Queen seemed to change things because Queen did change things. They steered the whole rock world in a different direction than the way it was going at the time. No one could be mistaken for being in the same genre as Queen, as Queen's genre was Queen, but it did change a great deal.
Queen fan from the first hour here: when he recorded Innuendo he was literally using the microphone stand to stay up, wearing a pigiama in his bedroom which was also used as "medical clinic".
One last, great performance from them. That Freddie was able to sing like that right at the end is astounding.
Now they have that sideshow freak high heels and lipstick wearing pop dance karaoke singer Lambert.

This is Queen's greatest song by quite a distance.
No. They have plenty of great fucking songs. You're just clueless.
This song is my absolute favorite of theirs. Criminally underrated. Masterpiece.
Edit: Relisten to it for sure, Lex. To me it's in the Bohemian Rhapsody league.
Its Queen doing a led zeppelin esque song
Criminally underrated, 100% agreed!
Personally, I think it's better than Bohemian Rhapsody.
The whole album is outstanding. “I’m Going Slightly Mad” is another standout.
That is my go-to song when I'm experiencing burnout at work or school. It's a great song.
The Innuendo album is a taste of what Queen would have sounded like in the 90s if Freddie Mercury would have lived:

Queen probably had the widest catalog of music of any rock band in history.
Fleetwood Mac?

Led Zeppelin were wider.
probably my favourite queen song
Steve Howe of Yes played the acoustic flamenco guitar.
both Brian and Steve are playing the flamenco guitar
The song was finished when Brian asked Steve to add some spanish guitar licks over what Brian already did
In my opinion this is better than Bo Rhap. It's a masterpiece from start to finish. Just an epic song on every level!
Since I occasionally comment, I feel obliged to mention I painted the drummer Roger Taylor on this video. Most of my clothes were splattered in paint by the end. (I've worked in animation since the 1980's).
Gran trabajo te felicito.
Wow wow wow ¡Eso sí es una experiencia de vida genial!
Really?! you’re so talented👏
This my favorite queen song. It's like a swan song and it summarizes their art. Powerful, complex, elegant, dreamy, ambiguous, colorful and really really rock!
Queen is unique and great!
A fantastic Queen number. One of their best. Classic and Rock in one hit. 🎶🎶🎶❤️❤️
Just a... masterpiace, with Bohemian Rhapsody. When i first time heard this song 1991, i was like "what is this!?" And i love it.
The guitarist playing the flamingo guiter is Steve Howe from Yes.
That's flamenco, but otherwise you are correct.
Darn spell checker. Lol
incorrect you are
correct way: Steve Howe and Brian May play the acoustic part
Yes, he knew he was dying. But, his greatness and hope for a better world never left him.
Queen's final heavy metal flourish in the studio. And their final No.1 during Freddie's reign. Nice one to finish on.
Metal? Try The Hitman. Same album. Rocks like a motherfucker.
Steve Howe from YES on the Spanish acoustic guitar in the middle of the song. Excellent song
with Brian May

The Miracle was album they made after they found out then it was Innuendo.
A masterwork track. Kind of a full circle returning to the style of their early albums. Great take by Brad.
It's so sad that songs like this are not written anymore. A true masterpiece... Queen at their best ❤️
well said

Totally different and unexpected from Queen.
Thank you for all you guys do.
Preach!!! Best song their best album, IMHO.
OOOooooooohhhhh/ How cute she is now/ I wish you all the best. May your family be happy. Love you both/ From Russia with love.
As sick as Freddie was his vocals were still strong
with help from shots of vodka, according to those around him....
My favourite Queen track!

That top right video is the music video for their song "Breakthru". Its a fun music video and a great song
I think their film score experience really shines on this one
Best and most diverse album since Queen II
Queen were one of the greatest acts of all time.
Freddie was a magic man, in a time when we needed magic-makers... like we need them again now.
Rhapsody is an idea or feeling expressed in music. A very underrated song.
Not a massive fan of Queen but this is my favourite Queen song.
Those were the days of our lives or Mother love are good songs if you want to be sad listening to Queen
