I keep coming back to this and the NPR Front Row concert. I miss this incredible foursome, and regret I never had the chance to be at a show. Ayse & Faye are still locked in as one of my all time favourite rhythm teams. So damn good together, them and the whole band.
Shut Up, the bass is unreal 😍😍
They go hard as fuck. The drummer and the bassist are amazing fuck it they are all so talented
I've watched a load of these "Live on KEXP" segments and this is the only one where it looks like the band brought their own cinematographer. Great performance!
I think Walking Papers did too ;)
I love post-punks bands with female singers!!!
Siouxsie and the Banshees
The Slits
The Raincoats
Lonelady
KUKL
Kleenex (later on to become LiLiPUT)
Excès Nocturne
The Nuns
Carambolage
Young Marble Giants
creekandseminole bikini kill?
Jovanna Mariet Sure why not.
creekandseminole Ludus, Essential Logic, and As Mercinarias deserve a spot on your list too.
+creekandseminole don't forget ESG
+creekandseminole is this an all female band
i wish this performance was longer. Seeing these ladies live would be a phenomenal experience.
It is. They're crazy. Jenny didn't touch the stage haha.
I heard Henry Rollins mention them at the end of an interview so I immediately looked them up and happily discovered they were playing in town a few weeks later. Saw them perform last night. Kick ass show!
who would'nt want to 'plug' them ?
Now that's some savage bass playing, ehh? ehhhhh?
Fuck you.
I love you.
The first time I heard them, it very much reminded me of the first time I heard The Chameleons. It's exactly how I want music to sound.
My head shakes itself when I listen to them, I love it! Especially guitar and bass.
Joy Division
Patty
sonic youth
Yep, those are the evident influences. They really take my favorite parts of them.
I love this band so much.
This band is not messing around
This band is simply the bogz dollocks. It's all there. Joy Division, Banshees, Unwound, Interpol but at the same time it's totally original. Bass player is amazing, too!
This is hands down the best in radio studio recording I've heard in the last 10 years. Pure cohesive artistic talent, I hope Savages remain long enough for me to see them live here in Minneapolis #regrets not going.
Damn!! This is strong! Late to find this band but so glad I came across them. Thinking to myself.......Jesus the singer is great.....then, damn the guitarist is great......oh, the bassist is awesome.......and the drummer is killing it!
goodness that drumers having a good time
one of the best concerts I ever went to. at the beginning they told people to put their fucking phones away and enjoy shit for once.
God how fucking true. I completely gave up going to the cinema because of this shit. What has the human race become.
everyone in this band is pure fire. the album is fire. i just want moreeeee
Fantastic. Emotion, heart, rhythm, music - there is everything together in the girls. I am an old man already, but this band totally fascinates. I say thank you for it to them.
It's all energetic, with pending urgency and growing importance evoked through splendid musicianship. The singer has a Souixsie style that works well.
I heard this band once a couple years ago and have been trying to find them again ever since. I have spent literally hours searching the Internet on several occasions. Today is a good day.
Holy fuck! Man this band is brilliant! They're Giving me some Nick cave-birthday party-siouxsie vibes amazing ❤️
Why have I not heard of these Savages? I feel complete! Anger sounds great tuned like this
Thanks for the hot tip, Tipper Kevin Rachman! I'll check this METZ out.
Me encantan, las cuatro son muy buenas y apasionadas.
Yes! The drummer! This is the best new thing I've heard in awhile:)
One of the few artists whose music I have purchased.
im so obsessed with savages, that guitar tone
I could listen to this forever.
I love everything about this! The music and visuals are perfect, left me gobsmacked. Jehnny Beth - I can't look away. She looks like what I would imagine a child of Dennis Hopper and Audrey Tautou would look like.
Such a tight band. Travesty they’re not making anymore new music.
I´m in love with these band !
Props to Spotify for putting Savages on my daily mix. Despite the deep treasure chest of music that I think I own, there is always an undiscovered gem to find.
The movie "Ex Machina" brought me here... Such an amazing band!
These girls really ROCKS!!!!!!
You're kidding me, right? They're a power trio with vocals. They have just as many guitar players as... every other power trio.
that guitar player...
This has to be the best KEXP performance ever.
love all of the players, wilderness and cold precision to the maximum
🖤
That was Beautiful...wow!
Rollins was right. Great band. Thanks for the lead Henry!
Wow. Thought I had heard it all, being a Tool, Toadies, AC/DC, Ratt, Queensrych and Led Zeppelin fan for so many years.
These girls freaking ROCK. WOW. I am humbled.
the guitar is so good. great guitar player.
Love the drumming and base as more than rhythm.
Why can't I put this twice in my favorites?
Best band to play on KEXP in my opinion.
Love the deep baselines. I've been waiting for this kind of stuff to comebasck for a long time.
Its like Siouxie and the Banshees with a serious attitude. Soooo Good!
oh god im in love
This band's way intense. Good stuff.
Chillbumps the entire performance! So very good!
absolutely amazing! it's like Ian Curtis sings with Echo And The Bunnymen from early80-s
Love their sound!
Wow. That an amazing performance. Last song gave me the chills
Perfection in every way.
Wow, they are wicked! They got a Siouxie and the Banshee's vibe going. I discovered the song "Husbands" on the soundtrack for Ex Machina and thought this is great!
bloody fantastic!
shame on me to see this in 2016,
amazed . . . what a 14 minutes ! ! !
Every single member of the band moves with the music.. Pure energy, all four of them. Delighted that they got together to make music.
gotta love this band...

2. Ty Segall
3. Thee Oh Sees
4. Savages
5. Speedy Ortiz
6. Ought
7. Deerhunter

10. Courtney Barnett
So many others that I couldn't fit into a list of just ten.

Abel Ramirez Don’t forget FIDLAR, Wavves, IDLES and Together PANGEA.
My therapist brought me here
+Kevin Rachman yeah he was a surprisingly hip man, I enjoyed talking music and art with him rather than what I came there for.
+Kevin Rachman but I suppose that's therapeutic in itself.
Us

The drummer is so heavy
I luv these girls, the singer's voice reminds me the early Patti Smith or Siouxie or PJ Harvey. Hope I can see them soon.
Her voice reminds me PJ Harvey, I like it.
Kari Schmidt Exactly...
Gracias a grupos como Savages el Rock tiene futuro, son GRANDIOSAS y PODEROSAS
Saw them 3 times couple year back in DC and at Pitchfork fest. I will be seeing them again this March in DC... They are menacing as Nick Cave in high heels....Yeah Beth is all black in high heels . And she stared at you like a knife... A devil of a band...Music is so hypnotic !!!! I fucking LOVE them...
That Bassline!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ear this girls in PORTO, Portugal last weekend... amazing with a very good sound, incredible bass and drums!

This band fking rules. I need to see them.
Great stuff!
Saw them at a small place in West London....Incredible!!!!
I can feel their vibrations in my head. Especially... All of them.
Irony is watching a Savages in-studio and getting a Viagra ad right in the middle.
+melvin moten That comment is potentially just so wrong. i had to laugh.
resistance is futile !
2020 and here we go again 💜
Love the Energy! A committed performance from the whole band.
Intense, brooding, exciting rock & roll. Great stuff!
I saw them at The Roundhouse in Camden, London, about 5 or 6 years ago. They're a great live band.
amazing!!!
Excellent.
At long last some truly amazing music.
