These guys are great. If they were a new band they would still be great. Its completely irrelevant how old they are, or their collective past. They were so poorly treated by the British music establishment, and like many interesting bands in the 1990's (i'm thinking of the House of Love for one) they were brushed aside by the macho nonsense of Brit pop and US grunge. The music sounds fresh and interesting. I hope Slowdive continue recording & playing together. What they are doing with guitars is utterly compelling.

I discovered Slowdive at the beginning of the pandemic. Whenever I wasn't able to cope with the terror of our government this band pulled me more or less through. The song Sugar for the Pill was the right song to guide my emotions in a wonderful way and I still can cry when I hear it. I'm 65 and I never had thought I would fall for such a band. But it's definitely underrated by the musical establishment. Wonderful band and I wish them all the luck in the world. ❤🤩

LOOOOVE THIS. Thank God for the bassist...he's the glue that holds their sound together, especially in the songs from Just for a Day like #2 (sadly the only song on this live set from that amazing album)....

This band was formed 2 years before Oasis and they sound much fresher than today's indie/alternative band, even for the music as a whole.

My one massive regret is not remembering the concert I went to in Oxford with my brother back in 93. If I'd had a chance to go back, I'd tell myself to have a night off the beer! All I remember was it was upstairs, tall windows, big old radiators, and a dark stage. I know I enjoyed it at the time though! After that, I learnt to drive and hence, I can remember most of the concerts I've been to since!

Didn’t know they reunited as Slowdive. Have all their original EPs (I have one EP with the band signatures on the cover) and CDs. They morphed into Mojave 3 and I also got those CDs as well as Neil Halstead and Rachel Goswell’s albums. Then I lost track of them. To see this performance is fantastic. I was a big fan of them and most of the 4AD artists as well. Mid/late 80s up to mid 90s was a great period of terrific and innovative music from the UK. Glad I collected every album I could as some were limited EPs and import only. This was way before UA-cam so if I didn’t get them from my favorite alternative shop (Vintage Vinyl in Evanston, IL) I would never see them again. Now through the gift of UA-cam there are additional works and video performances, so once again I can experience the great artists play again…

This is such a great live sound! I saw Slowdive live in I think 1993 in Toronto, with Ride (also saw My Bloody Valentine around the same time). Slowdive was amazing, better live than Ride. So glad to see these bands coming back! I played in a shoegaze band from 1992-1995 called Stillmotion. We only ever released a marble vinyl 45 rpm. Still love playing this music in 2021!
