I think you may have grasped the greatness u just heard now listen to this person and do the live ....and while u watch it he is 59 yrs old in this vid ...
If you want to see the GOAT Danny Carey on drums, there is an amazing drum cam of this live in concert. I like the live version better you get to see where all the sounds come from.
Nice reaction! This is probably my all-time favorite song. Just an amazing work of art. Oh, and I've got to mention how appropriate it is that you have a lava lamp in the background while experiencing a Tool musical journey!
I don't think the sound could be tighter than it is! This band became one of my favorites over one song, then I bought every album and have listened through all of them. Some were not all that great, to me, but I'm sure others in the "TOOL ARMY" like them. I'm doing the same as you and opening up to other genres of music. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, SRV and Double Trouble , Pantera, Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer!
What the vocalist does ...MAYNARD JAMES KEENEN. Is he waits for the music to be made before he steps in and writes the lyrics for TOOL songs . But the Amazing thing is this is only one of three bands he is the lead vocalist for simultaneously
2:25 - Not really. First there was Adam Jones with his guitar, then Danny Carey joined with his drums (OK, he has crazy kit with 7 mandala pads that have 128 programmable zones for different sounds but still), Justin Chansellor just joined with his bass and soon Maynard will come in with his vocals. You really should (please!) do a re-reaction on this song but with the Vic Firth drum cam of Danny Carey. You only see glimpses of the other members here and there, but you'll see the epic drumming of Danny Carey better than anyone has seen before. :) Please?
The drum cam video is a must after listening to this 🤘

I absolutely love the sound of Maynard's vocals in this incredible track. Tool are just immense masters.
This song is the very pinnacle of progressive rock music and an absolutely 10 star masterpiece.
I know we are born from the stars. But "sun becoming" and then that guitar squeal makes me feel like a fucking god 😂 goosebumps everytime

We witnessed it on Leap year day - February 29th last year - in Auckland, New Zealand. Sounded identical.
Yes! There is really nothing like getting to see how he makes those sounds
Best part about the drummer is that he’s 60 years old and kills it just as good live. This album just dropped in 2019

Yo! What's the red dot on your lid?
Its a camera thing smh. I had to reset my camera to make it go away.
I came to say watch the drum cam if you think the drums are fire...and naturally there's already a bunch of people saying the same thing :D Enjoy man.
He's not the lead singer lol.
He's the singer. Does all parts.
