I loved my stay here, the room was incredibly designed, the view was amazing. Also, the staff was very respectful and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. I booked through Amex and was provided a late 4pm checkout, a credit for breakfast and dinner. Just make sure to make your dinner reservation ahead of time if not you will be stuck eating in your room.
Another great video! Thank you for taking the time to put this together and share it. I was in the city not long ago and was looking at the hotel from near by and was wondering what it was all about. This is a great inside look at somewhere that I probably would not have seen apart from the casual viewing of the exterior.
I chose the hotel due to the location and Equinox access. I was able to walk to my meetings in about 4 minutes. I live in the Midwest so I’ve always wanted to check the gym out. Overall I wouldn’t stay again if I was paying out of pocket full price. My job covered 90% since I didn’t need transportation.
For $700 they really should throw in the deodorant or what not for free, they could have done that with sponsors. It's New York City, but for a bit more than $800 you can probably get a similarly nice room in Paris with an Eiffel Tower view during peak seasons, so just based on what's in the video I think a "not worth it" is called for. Thanks for another great video !
Totally agree with your comment. If the health stuff were free I'd have given this a Try It Once. Great point about Paris, for that rate you could get some incredible experiences around the world. Thanks for watching and thanks for the great comment!!
@@lm7913 you can not get the art, education, business, culture, experience, entertainment, architecture, monuments, and dining NewYork has to offer in most other places in the United States. All of which amount to SOMETHING. If it had nothing to offer, people would be visiting Idaho in droves, instead.
I think you pay heavily for location here since this area is relatively new and hyped up still, but yeah kind of lame that you have to pay extra for the health stuff. And that USD 50 for a few pastries is insane!
There are a few hotels nearby but you're correct that no hotel is smack dab in the middle of the hot new area. Yep if those health things were free, I'd probably have upgraded my rating! Thanks for the comment! I appreciate you watching.
If you have a hotels dot com membership, it will show you the perks when you look at the rates of the room. It often shows the room price and then underneath things like "free breakfast" or "spa credit"
I know you probably enjoy or don't mind the lack of privacy when showering, but, you didn't address the obvious, which is what about the rest of us who want to shower in private? Is there a way to make the shower private or does the see through glass remain? Some glass has a touch sensor that turns it solid. Do you know? I am contemplating this hotel for a trip to NYC and the hotel does not address this concern nor do any of the reviews I've read online. Thanks in advance.
@@IsItWorthItLuxuryReviews OMG! You totally did address my question perfectly!!!!! I neglected to watch the rest of your video after you first discussed the bathroom and shower. I apologize. Thank you so much for your thorough review. You have no idea how much I have been looking for this answer. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Also, thank you so much for the timely response. Please keep making videos.
The price is only worth it if you want to feel like you’re above everyone else and have money to spend. But no one‘s gonna care and no one is gonna know you were even there unless you take a lot of selfie‘s in your room. Other than that I’ll just sleep under a bridge for free with fresh air. 😂 In all seriousness, have you reviewed 1 Hotel and Proper Hotel? Those are my favorites. ☺️
That hotel is for millionaires / billionaires. The place is nice, shiney, new etc but def other places in the city closer to good food and other attractions. I’ll pass on staying there but kudos to those who want to.

Lol, I cracked up at 4:18-4:22. Great review.
I lost it at the coffee joke. You just got a new subscriber. Keep up the great work.
Haha thank you. Was proud of that one.

Agreed
They're also planning locations in LA, Houston and Chicago. Interesting to see how Equinox will do as a hotel brand
Definitely going with the lifestyle brand. Things might be difficult due to Covid too.
Larry June brought me here. Good job Larry!
Is this better than the 1 hotels in Miami?

Thank you. New York in General is over rated and over priced for NOTHING.

What's going on in Paris is of 0 relevance if you need to be in NY. 🤷♂️

Nice review keep grinding, you have very unique content.
Thank you! Appreciate the encouragement.
How did you get the spa credit thru hotels.com? Any booking thru hotels.com gets that?

What NYC hotel do you think is worth it?
Great video! But I'm surprised nobody notice the Easteregg guy holding a plant.. 😂😂😂
Haha this comment is going to make him very happy

I think around the 6:50 mark I show that you can flip a switch and it makes the glass opaque. There definitely is a way to make it private.

I have a review of the 1 hotel in miami and the 1 hotel in LA on my channel!
crazy stuff
Yeah really interesting hotel! Quite unique.
NYC is just gross esp in 2020! Do Mandarin Oriental on Columbus Circle, if you must do NYC! 400sqft is a closet!
Thank you for an honest review!
I've been wanting to check that one out!
Not that big a room for $700. However it is New York City.
Thanks for always being one of the first to watch!
the dream = get paid to review luxury
Haha I sadly I don’t get paid but I wish!

shoutout to antonio brown lol
thank you for being the first person to notice the joke!
God dam this guy can talk
Thanks!?

Haha it’s an important distinction!
Their gyms fell off ... not surprised they cant run a hotel.
