Great info to know I don’t think I will be purchasing it I do like to have my maps on my from Porsche sometimes. I would totally miss not seeing my navigation right in front of my face. Thank you for in-depth review
Just installed on my 2015 Cayenne S, works a absolute dream! Mine works just fine without the engine running. I used fuse 24 on drivers side (uk) which is the TV fuse.
How did your install go? Is the Navi working for you? Looking to pick this up and saw another kit a little more expensive than this one so not sure which pick
@@whoispmb The install was very straight forward, but I'd watched at least 3 different install videos and so I was aware of all the potential issues (including the air vent removal). Again everything works as expected in CarPlay and I've lost none of the original PCM 3.1 functionality. I have the factory 360 cameras and they engage just fine whilst using CarPlay. The supplied mic did need calibration as there was some echo at first, but all good now. I have not tried to use the Android Auto function. Joyeauto support responds quickly as well (allowing for the time difference).
@@simonlaland got it, I was debating between this module and another one from gtakits: www.gtacarkits.com/product/wireless-carplay-and-androidauto-integration-for-porsche-cayenne-2011-2016/ this is why I was asking
@@whoispmb On scanning through that video the actual hardware box looks almost identical to joyeauto it’s probably just badged with their name but is the same Chinese made hardware. If you wanting to spend a bit more money and want a UK supplier see the attached I think they get good reviews in the Porsche forums www.nmautomotive.co.uk/carplay-androidauto
I had same issue with oem Navi after installed CarPlay, I fixed it after, it’s the 5V circuit has been shorted on the mother board. You could confirm it by listen to the hard drive on the top of the unit. See if HDD is spinning or just constantly clicking sound.
This is a very interesting video and will think about this for my wife's Cayenne :-) She ie having a problem with her PCM forgetting the radio stations every time she switches it off and the sat nav being well out of dat :-( Great video
Joyeauto support have just told me how to move the status bar from the left to right side: settings, CarPlay, password 1123 then the option to change to right hand drive is the top line. You can also change the car manufacturers logo in here.
Thanks for the video, can you do the full installation video? I'm unsure how to remove the vents without damaging them, want to add just an aux in cable to my 958.
Great video thanks. I’m sure that later on, you popped a rubber grommet around that cable as it passed through the hole where the blanking plate was. Otherwise chaffing may eventually occur & 🔥 risk 😉👍🏻
Satch! That looks terrifying to me. I have had a double din Pioneer unit that I purchased a year and a half ago. It’s been sitting on a shelf staring at me. The “professionals” want 750.00 to install it which is 250.00 more than I paid for it. Guess what? They’re going to get their 750.00. Scared to death of fuc%$@# it up. Thanks for the video. BTW. It’s an 06 C2S. The factory issued unit is useless. Take good care. Cheers.
How long does it take to connect to your phone via Bluetooth, the one thing that annoys me about the standard Porsche set up is it takes ages to connect to your phone for music
I was interested to do this mod, but I just understand that the PCM original Navi is no longer working after... I guess it might be unpractical when driving abroad with limited datas from the phone... Isn't it?
Have no need for this. Watched anyway!

No Porsche map is what makes it a deal breaker for me. Nice video

@@simonlaland awesome thank you! I am in the US so not sure if it makes a difference but i had a feeling they're all about the same!
Happy days Satch, all the mod cons.. 👌👍👍

Hello, do you know how to fix that ?
This is a very interesting video and will think about this for my wife's Cayenne :-) She ie having a problem with her PCM forgetting the radio stations every time she switches it off and the sat nav being well out of dat :-( Great video
I have wireless CarPlay. It should be in every car. So simple and easy.
Where is the detail installation video that was mentioned in the video?
That looks great....superb job. 👍
Great job Al,.

I did the same install on my 981s. It’s relatively straight forward but I could still use the original PCM features (nav etc) after the install.
Cheers, I enjoy your videos, keep up the good work. Thanks, Dylan
Which brand did you buy the system from? I would like to keep the existing PCM Features as well.
@@filipniemkiewicz1026 Hi Filip, I purchased my kit from nmautomotive, a Porsche specialist in the U.K.
Good video well done 👍😁
Good vid any chance you you can do the Cayman next need to change mine

sort of annoying that PCM navi won't work
Yes mum is on the BA12
I just installed this but when I push the Navi button to switch over my screen flickers and just goes black. Wonderful.
Just out of interest does the display in the instrument cluster still work? Displaying tracks, maps etc? Assuming you use Waze or apple maps
Did you install any LED H7 for the high beams?
Happy with the standard one on 2017 Cayenne S e-Hybrid. Looks a bit complicated to me. Each to their own.
does the car play work wireless from your phone ?
How long does it take to connect to your phone via Bluetooth, the one thing that annoys me about the standard Porsche set up is it takes ages to connect to your phone for music
Looked good until you pointed out the pcm phone and nav no longer works.
I have Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid 2016, but can’t get CarPlay working! Done everything but doesn’t connect! Can you help please?
Thanks for the great walk through. I clicked on the amazon link but its not working. Probably outdated. Is there another way to get it on amazon

Hi! Can I ask where you hid the carplay box?
A lot of the links don't work like Instagram.
I am interested to know if you can swap the 2010 pcm unit for one out of a 2014 model.
Can you please share link for the pcm 3.1 for Porsche Cayenne 2014. The link in the description doesn’t work. Thanks
Great video. Do you know if we can do something similar with the CDR30 on my 987.2?
I am not too sure sir, if you go onto the joyeauto site they may have something, my discount code should also work if you do buy it. Thanks.
Will do, thanks :)
I don't see this kit available anywhere. Is there another link
is it possible to install in late 957 turbo model?
Does your phone sync up wirelessly right when you turn on the car? The delay always bothered me...
I want to install this in my cayman but I have no idea on where I could ever hide the carplay box itself, any suggestions?
Awesome
So brass stand offs are "golden screws" now are they..
Thats not a 958, but a 92a, or?
Do you want to sell ur porsch cayenne
Any idea if Waze works on it?
Waze should work yes.
Waze does work
Amazing link is no longer available. Can you recommend an updated kit ?
Hi mate, did you do a full install video? Also did you have to install a separate microphone? Thanks
Ehh I’ll be ok with the stock set up, looks like too much trouble for little gain. Order up a 2019 if you want the real deal. 🤷🏻♂️
All I need is to reprogram it and all the car play is out even with android
That's why I would never change the original one 😉
Looks laggy as sh** 🤔
Should’ve just kept everything original and simple used your phone on the dash-old school way.
Does anyone know how to add android Auto to a 2018 Panamera?
