SOME OF THE BOOKS MENTIONED IN THIS VIDEO ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR SOME AUDIENCES.
Stephen King dedicated videos are a lot more popular than others!
FaruQuick Reads that’s why I’m making them, thats what people enjoy!
King is the man! The thing I love about his books isn't just that they're genuinely scary, but that they're packed with extreme amounts of emotion and a genius understanding of the inner working of the human mind.
So, if I write the f word a zillion times and talk about dead kids, dead animals, dead drug addicts and dead religious nuts I’m suddenly a genius too?
My first King, and my very first adult novel, was Firestarter. I was reading things like the Hardy Boys before then, so it was quite the jump content wise. I think it'd be a good start because it's relativity un-connected to other works. Plus it has the best Daddy-daughter relationship in print, and those types of interpersonal stories is where King shines the most.
I hadn’t actually read Firestarter when I made this video, but funnily enough it’s now my all-time favourite book!
I've been completely lost on where to start reading King. Your advice helps me. So, thanks for the video, man!
Augusto Frontán glad to help 👍
No matter what you start with... Could be IT or The Shining or Christine or even a book of his short stories.. Once you let Stephen King into your head, you will be better for it!!
I started with "the mist" and I don't remember a lot partly because I just wasn't used to kings style, but also in part because I hadn't read a single book in 2.5 years. I read it a month and a half ago, but I could open a random page and not recognize what was going on. after that got me back into reading, I ended up reading some Brandon Sanderson and now I'm reading misery along with the third Mistborn novel. I am loving misery a lot right now!
Thank you so much for your recommendations!!! I will definitely be reading Pet Sematary :)
Micaa AA it’s a great book, hope you enjoy it!
otherworldsthanthese thank youu, i hope so🤞🏻
@@micaaaa6010One book that I don't hear about much but really love is The Green Mile. I have the original 6 book series and it is a really good read.
I am Groot! Ohhh, interesting... thanks :)
Micaa AA love The Green Mile 👍
I’ve only read 4 Stephen King books so far. The Shining, The Stand, It, and Pet Sematary in that order. I plan on reading 11/22/63 next.
Matthew Boyd all of those 5 you mentioned are in my top 10, I hope you enjoy 11/22/63!
11/22/63 is my second favorite book. It’s AMAZING 😍😍😍😍😍
@@tailynn-91 I just finished 11/22/63 the miniseries and it was pretty good. Great book! For me the next will be a re-read of The Stand. One of my favorite King works, but it has been years since I read it. I think in a Covid world it will be even more intense!
I have read only two Stephen King's books yet which are THE OUTSIDER and IF IT BLEEDS. And I can't wait to read THE SHINING. Thank you for your recommendations!!❤
MyAlways Both of those books spoil the entire Hodges trilogy, I hope you went into those books knowing that! Anyway, hope you enjoy The Shining!
@@otherworldsthanthese ohhh nooo!! I didn't know about that 😭😭 that's why I really appreciate your recommendations
MyAlways yeah, The Outsider is the sequel to the trilogy, sorry!
@@otherworldsthanthese oooohhh ok!! Now I know.

The only thing you need is therapy
Ooohhh-bloody brilliant!!!
Oh my God, I've just discovered your channel and it's been live at first sight! 🤣.
To the best of my knowledge, you should do reviews of books related to studies (uni, secondary school - books you've been ordered by your teachers - and all that jazz, you know, kinda studytube) or classics. I'm sure a lot of people will get interested.
Salutes from Spain and keep with your fabulous channel!
Cool video, Harry!
