Honestly couldn't be happier to hear about Moral Panic II
I find these lyrics unconventionally powerful. They are simple, a story, but so relevant for us as individuals, as people, as souls. Bring us back from the dreams to reality, advise us to try to cast away the hope that something/someone might save us because it slows us down and strips us off this responsibility we should take, help us with our own demons, cast away this belief in something magical and miraculous because it is so rare that it almost never happens anymore. Yet in the end again bring us back to this lurking thought that "but maybe it will still happen soon", still stressing that it never really dies, that you might be the one this "rare" happens to. It turns into this loop of hope and hopelessness. I find this song so bittersweet, depressing yet somewhat uplifting. NBT can never make a bad song.
I would like to add: Maybe it also brings hope to create your own miracles. Since they are so rare, just simply waiting for them won‘t do, but some things people call „a miracle“ or „lucky“ for that matter can be archived with a little work on one‘s own.
I have never followed a band as religiously as I have for Nothing But Thieves. They never seem to disappoint me and I'm really like these almost trippy yet hardcore vibes of the recent songs. Looks like we'll be having a new album soon and I'm super hype
