Cambriea!! Girl!! This looks SO beautiful!! If you want to prolong the life of your faux plants, you can spray them with an outdoor fabric spray! This will protect them against fading and drying out. ❤💕🌿
I can’t walk well any more, so real plants for outside and tending to them is not possible, as I fall a lot…My floral arrangements are ‘Fake’ and look real, plus I do not care what others think…They make me happy and it saves on my water bill….Hugs, N
This is literally the best idea ever!!!! It looks great and hardly no maintenance, I'm definitely doing this. Who would have thought of faux flowers genius!
My in laws had a neighbor that completely filled her front flower bed with fake flowers every year...it looked like a small English garden and no one knew except for a couple of neighbors...it looked beautiful. Yours turned out great!
I just keep hearing the tik tok “nobody’s gonna know... how would they know” lol!! It looks so good though! I have fake flowers around my mail box and everyone thinks they are real! Lol. Awesome idea. And love how he was so proud to go and buy his toy with his money!🥺😍
I personally want to say thank you for sharing this video and taking the time to do step-by-step of your own ideas. This is wonderful as a homeowner being able to adjust to your own style throughout the seasons and reusing items as well. I am very happy with watching your video and coming up with my own ideas may God continue to bless you and your ideas to share. Thanks again. I will be trying to indicate this throughout my landscaping, thank you so ❤much. This is a huge on having to constantly focus on planting, digging watering and removing plants over and over again.
Oh no! I'm a farm girl. If you plan on putting in more flower bed. The easiest way to remove sod is, take your shovel and cut the sod into strips now take a pitchfork and poke it into the strip one way and then go back the other way. Now you can roll the strip of sod up and place it anywhere you want. Just a suggestion.
Thanks for sharing,I am glad I am not the only one that uses fake flowers,in my pots this year u mixed fake with flowers,it worked out so well, for wu terri u placed fake flowers in front yard garden,un summer I mixed real with fake,I like to see growth in plants, they seem to keep me calm,I love your red mulch. I might try that one year,
I just wanna tell you I really enjoyed your flowers. I done fake flowers this year. I was tired of buying flowers and they dying and I’m having to repeat it’s spend all that money so I done ’t fake flowers this year and I am so excited about my fake flowers everybody Tell me, how pretty they are and I’m really excited.
You guys are so amazing. I love the teamwork. We just bought this house, its about to get cold and i do not want to plant real plants right now but just wanted to make the front pretty, Incidentally I just had those same bricks delivered this morning with some black mulch. Thought to myself would fake plants be so weird and i came to UA-cam and searched garden with fake plants. Thank you! I am about to go right back to Amazon now to add the plants to the solar lights in my cart. I will do before and after pics for sure.
Here in my neck of New Mexico we don't have any shade out front so we pack our flower planters with Dollar Tree silk plants and flowers. From the street you can't tell their fake.
Wonderful idea, the winter here lasts way to long and the cold kills all the natural ones except for the evergreens this is a great solution, thank you for sharing
Heya Cambreia, I love watching your videos! Fantastic! Do you happen to have a link to where you bought your fake flowers? I have no green thumb either! Eeeep! Lol 😁
I do too, especially in my window boxes, my friends to them as my Tammy Fay Baker flowers....From the road..it looks good. Now if I could just stop them from fading...
Wow! You and Bobby have increased your home's curb appeal 1000%! Looks fabulous! Everything looks real! Your neighbors must be thrilled because they all can enjoy your hard work too! Y'all should be very proud!!!!
just wanted to thankyou verymuch for this video/info ,,,,ordered the exact flowers useing links and just used them in front of my house,,it turned out beautiful,,,thankyou
Excited to watch because I've been wanting to put flowers in my front yard but I do not have the green thumb so this is definitely a good idea. Definitely gonna try this when I record my front porch decor makeover. Gotta give you your shout out for this idea.
Cambriea, you are a genius !! The fake flowers and trees are amazing. I am totally using this idea for my front yard and I will also add some of the fake decorative grasses too. Thank you for sharing, I would never have thought of this w/o your video.
You do what you have to do. Personally, I think it was a great mom saver this year especially with a little one plus and trying keep plants alive. Looks lovely 💕
since your husband mentioned his tools, I think he could make a wooden flower box with a hole in the back for that pipe under your front window..... paint it white to match the window trim and fill it with faux ferns
Great job! Where did you get the artificial plants? My Home Depot doesn’t have them. Also, why did you put tarp down on top of the old mulch just to cover the color? Thank you
Nice work! I use fake plants because we are in Maine and I feel like forever before we can have real plants outside! Nice job this lets me know i can do more with this.
Looks great but I worry that strong winds and rain will ruin everything you did. How do you keep the plants in the ground and the planters from toppling over or blowing away in bad weather?
The flowers have fairly long stems, and with the Weed Barrier material you have to push threw that into the dirt, between those things it holds them in place pretty well. We have had some storms since we have done this and they seem to be fine, no lost flowers yet.
Looks great! I would like to know how you are liking them a year later? How long did they hold up? Any fading? I went to your Amazon page and saw the ones you used. Any update would be helpful. Also, how many stems did you buy to get the look you have here? Thanks.
Love it. Was wondering if this was possible. How are they holding up. I live in South TX where is it too hot in the summer with little rain. I have spent so much money on plants. I am giving up and looking at fake plants. Yours look great.
Stop it! All the birds and bugs in the garden are giving you the side eye right now lol All jokes aside, looks good. Probably saving on that water bill to lol
We moved out of that house, that house is in Wisconsin and we are now in Florida. Sadly there will be no follow-up video. The flowers can be found on Cambriea's Amazon link: Find the flowers here! www.amazon.com/shop/livingwithcambriea/list/3MF0RGO0FE0BR
I am here because my HOA and landscaping company decided to cut down my really gorgeous 15 foot Areca palms from my backyard pool enclosure the outside. So I am not going to spend any money on anything else that they might cut down, so I’m trying to come up with creative ideas for inside the pool cage lining the pool… So I think I’m going to follow your lead and do some thing like this block out neighbors
My boyfriend and I bought a home together 10 years ago and when we moved in there was no garden. I’ve always wanted to do a little garden to give the front of our house some curb appeal and I finally decided to just jump in and do it and Wow! What a job! I think creating your boarder lines and tearing out all the grass is the hardest part! It takes some real muscle power!
Where did you get all your fake flowers and trees from?! (Fellow WI mom here, got no time to maintain flowers with kids). (And I also have fake flowers in planters - but my mom bought them and brought them, and planted them, etc) love it!!
Love what you did, they are beautiful and look real. I just planned fake grass in our back yard, now for the boarders I am going to use your method of flowers, thanks for sharing.
Wow! I'm inspired to use fake flowers now! I've been beating myself up trying to plant Annuals with all kinds of specialized fertilizers to make them bloom bigger and stay longer... I never once thought about fake flowers! Thank you for posting this! I'm going to start my research immediately!
I’m a master gardener and so... I want to talk you into how easy it would be to plant a front garden for pretty cheap, but I get it. :) I’m eager to hear how they hold up. I have fake topiary in my vestibule and they even fade and wear pretty quickly.
I do fake flowers and mix in with the naturals because I live in high dessert and I am tired of flowers dying and taking so long to aclimate. As the natural flowers get stronger I remove the fake ones. The trees look good.
It looks so good!! Have you used fake flowers before? Do you take them out for the winter? After seeing how good yours look, I want to do this on the shady side of our house where nothing grows! But, I live in ND so I’m thinking they’d need to be taken out and stored for the winter.

I have fake topiaries on my porch in large planters. The only thing is that the sun fades them but I will paint them when they get really faded and bad looking.
To think in the 60s, when saw faux flowers in our neighbor's yard,we laughed. Probably because back then they were plastic. Now I'm looking for ways to mix it up,since my knees won't allow me to plant the way I used to.
This looks amazing. I have so many questions. How do these hold up with weather (wind), and do you have to remove them in the winter. I can’t believe how good they look!!! 😍😍😍
Looks great! I would I have never thought of this. Wonder if the sun will turn your trees that blue/faded Color? Keep us updated. I’m curious to know how it goes!

My dear, I couldn’t agree more!
Me too I’m disabled and cannot do gardening anymore, and they suit me, I love them.

I love it. I don't think they look fake. I'm going with fake this year. I spend a ton of money every year and then kill everything
Me too
If I don't kill them the rabbits and deer beat me to it
Cambriea, you are a genius !! The fake flowers and trees are amazing. I am totally using this idea for my front yard and I will also add some of the fake decorative grasses too. Thank you for sharing, I would never have thought of this w/o your video.
I use faux flowers & plants as fillers around my host as, easier and cheaper... awesome job... and Jr there yard sailing! Too cute 🥰
You do what you have to do. Personally, I think it was a great mom saver this year especially with a little one plus and trying keep plants alive. Looks lovely 💕
Looks good thats for sure.!👏👍 But I love real flowers. I have my own cutting garden nothing better than real roses .

Great job! Where did you get the artificial plants? My Home Depot doesn’t have them. Also, why did you put tarp down on top of the old mulch just to cover the color? Thank you
We got the artificial plants from Amazon. We put down the tarp to give a weed barrier so unwanted weeks wouldn't pop up.
I use artificial flowers all the time I get more compliments and the best part is no maintenance when flowers get ratty replace them I’m happy
You good girl it look darn good 😊 you and Bobby Al Yu good yes you are crazy 😂 amazing ❣️😂

They held up well the last time we saw them. However, the purple flowers did fade a little bit.
Beautiful. I never thought about using fake plants. Save my watering time and more time in my garden.
I love how it turned out I think I am going to do that to my front. Beautiful 😻
I loved it, I like it that you spray the area and your husband dig the area.
Hi. Just say your video today. Turned out great. Could you post a link to the flowers you used. Thank you!

Great project and nice video! How have the fake plants held up against the UV rays over time? Any color fade yet?
They held up pretty well. Last we saw them a year ago, the purple flowers faded a little bit. Otherwise, they held up well.
Looks amazing. May I ask where did you purchase your flowers from? Great video and teamwork. Thx in advance.
We got the flowers and plants from Amazon.
Beautiful! I bought fake topiary trees with flowers, but they don't stay upright. I thought about floral foam and mulch which is what I'm thinking.
Stop it! All the birds and bugs in the garden are giving you the side eye right now lol
All jokes aside, looks good. Probably saving on that water bill to lol
I did this to my rock garden. I added some monkey grass and geraniums. Everyone thought they were real.
I love your dogs ! I love when people work together
Omg I just told my husband I wanted to plant fake flowers & Boom! here’s your video! It looks beautiful!!!
I love how it turned out! I was wondering if you’ve done an update video yet??? I also couldn’t find the items on your Amazon storefront
We moved out of that house, that house is in Wisconsin and we are now in Florida. Sadly there will be no follow-up video. The flowers can be found on Cambriea's Amazon link:

sorry if i missed it, but what's the stuff you sprayed on top of the fabric from the white container? roundup or preen?
It has been a couple years since this video posted, but I believe it was roundup.

You did the hardest work preparing the area with shaping, putting the weed cover then the mulch. Might as well use a few live plants.
The second you pulled up the sod I immediately was like... Oooh! Free patching grass, and you did NOT disappoint.. let us know if the sod takes!! 👏👏👏
So far so good, the transplanted grass isn't dead but still isn't lush and green like the rest of the lawn. Going to give it some grass food.
@@bobbyg3340 thanks for the update!! Gotta love that Wisconsin know-how 💪
Genius., looks really good. I think the secret is to make the flower groupings as full as possible, which is what you did.
What kind of flowers is the purple ones they look great. Trees look awesome too. Y'all did a great job
Um not sure. They are all linked in my Amazon store though
Hooolllddd oooonnnn..... This looks just BUTFL 😍

I’m about to plant me some fake ones. Everything I plant dies!! 🌸 🌺
Thank you for this great tutorial I see that you sprayed the weed killer on top of the gray plastic then added the mulch.
It looks amazing!! How many bundles of each color did you have to buy to fill the whole garden area?
I am sorry, don't remember. www.amazon.com/shop/livingwithcambriea/list/3MF0RGO0FE0BR?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_m
Wow, really looks great and REAL!! Nice job, I would have never thought to do that.
Yard is beautiful. I did this with fake geraniums. Got a lot of compliments.
Wow! I'm inspired to use fake flowers now! I've been beating myself up trying to plant Annuals with all kinds of specialized fertilizers to make them bloom bigger and stay longer... I never once thought about fake flowers! Thank you for posting this! I'm going to start my research immediately!
What happens when it rains in your potted plants? How do you keep them water proof? Thank you for your video.
Drilled holes in the pot to let them drain.
Looks so great!!! I'm using fake this year lol. Next time instead of using so much mulch put cans or bottles in the pots first.
I’m a master gardener and so... I want to talk you into how easy it would be to plant a front garden for pretty cheap, but I get it. :) I’m eager to hear how they hold up. I have fake topiary in my vestibule and they even fade and wear pretty quickly.

Amazon.com
My back yard is awesome my front beds look like crap and I have been here twenty years, this is what I should try .
Where did you get your blue bucket,I have black but blue also looks beautiful,tx
Never mind,I google it and found it
I do fake flowers and mix in with the naturals because I live in high dessert and I am tired of flowers dying and taking so long to aclimate. As the natural flowers get stronger I remove the fake ones. The trees look good.
Question - Why do you put down some red mulch before you laid the tarp out?
We were trying to even out the ground first.
Is there a specific reason you picked small flowers for your garden or was it just personal preference? Its beautiful !!
Just liked the way they looked.
Where did you get those faux large plants?? I want to this same look on my front yard 😃

This is our first year doing it but I definitely plan on bring them in for the winter.
I did fake in my large pots outside. I was not good at watering them all summer. I also got mine from Amazon. Looks good ladybug.
Love it! Where did you get the purple flowers and what are those called? I need them because I’m terrible at keeping up with the garden
www.amazon.com/shop/livingwithcambriea/list/3MF0RGO0FE0BR?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_m
This is a great idea for me, I can't keep plants alive, and deer eat everything here lol
I’m re doing my plastic flowers this year getting ready for summer ( or any nice weather we have in England )
Although my hanging baskets look great in all weathers 🤫.
You have a beautiful home , great job xx
Love it 😍 justAdd a curiosity how many bundles did you buy of the fake flowers I’m planning on putting some around an oak tree so the diameter is about 32 feet around the tree so I’m trying to figure out how much it’s gonna cost price wise depending on how many come in there to give it that look for look like you had thank you in advance
About 40 of each. They came in packs of 20
Ahh, sooo sweet of you to respond so quickly thank you... You just got a new subscriber
I have fake topiaries on my porch in large planters. The only thing is that the sun fades them but I will paint them when they get really faded and bad looking.

Gorgeous 😍 I just purchased my first home last September I will be doing this 👍🏼
To think in the 60s, when saw faux flowers in our neighbor's yard,we laughed. Probably because back then they were plastic. Now I'm looking for ways to mix it up,since my knees won't allow me to plant the way I used to.
It's beautiful. My question is what's the purpose of the plastic you covered it with and where did you buy your flowers
It is a weed barrier.

Hey Cambria,
You Done..
I think this gonna be the new way of gardinger 2021.
They great
Thank you! I wanted to put fake flowers or grass on my front lawn. This help me a lot. I won’t feel as bad. Aha
I love how vibrant all the colors are.
This looks amazing. I have so many questions. How do these hold up with weather (wind), and do you have to remove them in the winter. I can’t believe how good they look!!! 😍😍😍
So it's our first year doing this but I will definitely share a update. Also we do plan on pulling them in the winter. I feel the snow will crush them
I would put bricks or rocks in the planters, ( under the mulch)so they don't blow away. Look fab😊
We have rocks in the planters, and sod with dirt in them under the mulch. The sod grass was straw at this point.
Wow! That's clever to use fake flowers. Great idea cause I'm not good with really plants lol. I think I'm going to try this
Teamwork makes the dream work! You guys did a great job 👏
Looks great! I would I have never thought of this. Wonder if the sun will turn your trees that blue/faded Color? Keep us updated. I’m curious to know how it goes!
With definitely let you know. They are all UV protected. We'll at least thats what Amazon said lol
Cambria this looks beautiful. By any chance did you put weights in the bottom of those Planters?Because a big storm might take them away.❤❤❤

That was my thought, too! If you have any extras of the pavers you lined the edges with, put a couple in the bottom of each pot.
