I’m still not clear re: rain and the use of the foam. Wouldn’t make sense to put drain holes at the bottom? Doesn’t the foam absorb the water - how would it leach out? Thank you, Stan
Hi Stanley, you are absolutely correct, most planters designed for outdoor use will come with drainage holes in the bottom to allow the water to drain out. We don't use foam, but rather a product called Jablite, similar to Polystyrene which doesn't hold water.
Absolutely beautiful!, Can I order the foliage and flower boxes online in USA? I went website and there are no prices and no way to add to shopping cart. Thank you
Hi There. We use a product called jablite to fix the plants into. We usually opt for a fairly tight arrangement of the plants so that you can't see the jablite once all the plants are in, but you could always add things like pebbles if you wanted to.
How would you go about securing long birch branches vertically in a similar planter? I have some lovely branches that I would like to use as a sort of room divider.
Hi Kathy. Not sure on polystyrene I'm afraid. In the UK we use a product called Jablite for our planters and this is available through most builders merchants.
Good question. It will depend on the planter that you're using, and the space available on the window ledge or balcony. You could weight the planter down by filling it with stones if it's in a sheltered area,. Or you can drill down through the planter and screw it into the window ledge.
Hi Nezzie. If you're concerned about high winds in the area that the plants are being installed you can always add some glue to the stems of the plants as you insert them.
@@VistafoliaArtificialGreenWalls The stems are not the concern; it’s the flower blooms. They all have fallen off after a thunderstorm came through recently.
@@nezziejeter5792 Hi Nezzie. Is that on the Vistafolia product or another plant you've purchased? Please feel free to send through details to me at info@vistafolia.com and I can look into this for you.
It's been a few weeks now since I received a call from one of your representatives. He was going to email pricing for plants for my 36 inch window box and how to order but I never received a call back. Tried to email him and never got a reply.
Very pretty. I think I would add some soil in there to put it over the top!

Is polystyrene okay to use outdoors and withstand the UK weather conditions?
Yes, these plants are UV protected means it wont fade against the sun, all weather plants
Wondering the same. So this polystyrene is okay all year round outdoors?
What store can I purchase bulk polytyrene at? Ive checked a few stores and they dont have any. Thankyou

No moss for filler? I won’t fry about the rain and soaking of the foam
Hi Tony. No reason that you couldn't use moss, but we don't currently offer this as part of our range.

How do you prevent the blooms from flowering plants from blowing away during rain and wind storms?

Nice video but can I suggest, when doing these don't have a wall behind printed with loads of plants as your demo box almost disappears
Hi there, thanks for the tip, well noted. I guess we got greedy and just wanted to really show off our green walls as well!
