"Yesterday, in my mind's eye..." One of the loveliest finishes of an episode of television ever created. The b&w portrait of them at the very end made it platinum.
Have thought of this show a lot in last 24 hrs with Hal Holbrook passing. Hope he & Dixie are together. Delta Burke is my favorite & I'm so happy she has Gerald Mcraney.
one of my all time favorite endings. The sexual tension b/w Delta and Gerald is insane, Linda's writing on the letter is epic, Dixie's reading is historic and Charlene's wind in the hair is Beyonce level
@jonnet1 I agree. It was one of the nice things about Designing Women. It was the first show that really showed Southerners and especially Southern women in a very positive and independent light!
Delta Burke's hair & presentation on this episode was exquisite !!! Wish they would have honored her & continued to present her this way thought the series. She's a beautiful woman at this weight or any other. They really messed her up the way they screwed with her hair & outfits. Shame.
Nobody was as beautiful as Delta Burke. Stunning.

This is my favorite episode!!!!
This is one of my favorites.
80's tv shows had the BEST writers. Nothing compares to this era.
I remember this episode as one of my FAVORITES, as it likely was for many. Shows of this quality simply do not exist anymore.❤️
There is nothing like this beautiful show on TV these days. I wish there was.
I miss this show so damn much, nothing can compare to these 4 ladies.
Nothing. This show was the best.👍👍👍
exactly
I’ll argue for Bea, Betty, Estelle and Rue from “the Golden Girls.”
One show does: Golden Girls.
@@williamjamesayers7719 Dixie Carter and Bea Arthur both have that mean sharpness in delivering a message

I'm so glad they're still married
Suzanne looked stunning.
Earth sisters, Rebel mothers… Southern women.
Such poetic language

Matt Cohen the sexual tension was great thats probably why they got married!!
One of the most passionate kisses ever! They truly loved each other both on and off the screen. They're still married nearly thirty years later.
There has never been a more perfect description of a southern woman ever made!!
This is REAL television.
I loved that picture of them!!!
Please name me one show on tv now that has poetic, attention grabbing writing like this! Oh how I miss this show!
Dixie Carter's reading made this the classic it is....
She is just gorgeous.
RIP Dixie Carter

I dearly love this episode
Love that show and this is one of many great clips from it! I hate that Dixie is gone, She is missed. I also LOVE Gerald Mcraney. Hes HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it were 1939, Delta could have won the role of Scarlet O'Hara.
This eppiode i love and makes me want to own a book of poems
I LOVE how this was written. So eloquent and genteel.
Whew, Dash's writing gave me cold chills again after 30 years. Wow.
One of the best kisses ever.
Especially so since their romance was real and the actors got married.
This is why this is my favorite show of all time. Just beautiful.
i love this episode and his lil note to the women
Love this ending...🥰
My favorite episode! I love Dash's letter
Beautiful poetry.
Love this episode
I love this poem
Nobody can read like Julia (Dixie) ... Love her
I love how when Dixie says, “Julia,” her voice does a slightly embarrassed “aw, gee, me too?”
My favorite episode of Designing Women.
Me too. I know not all the episodes could be this good, but I wish they had been :)
Beyond classic
That kiss scene was one of the sexiest moments in TV history. It culminated into their marriage and 33 years later, they’re still going strong!
A Great Poetic Lineage for Southern Women. There's no better words when it was done so Eloquently in a Soft Southern Siloueted Yesteryear.
Those girls are so young and pretty.
Dixie Carter was so beautiful
What a great kiss; too bad it didn't last longer.
The kiss heard around the world. Delta and Gerald are still married to this day.
Real life husband and wife..... I love it....
But not at the time. Makes it even sweeter.
@@frndofbear they fell in love during that episode.
Life😍😍😍
i thonk tegardless of her weightchanges i think she always looked great so.e episode better than others she neededprinary colors no pastels
Delta looks a little like vivian leigh as scarlett
I always thought so and she sort of acted like her too sometimes.
Delta Burke & her husband, who played Dash.
Her husband in real life
Dash Goff is real and I know him…small world
Lucky.😊
Bo-thru -bo
I liked designing women a whole heck of lot better than golden girls
Dash used too many words thats why his books didnt sell well
You are so young and naive.
@@robertandhollyscorpiofan2697 No you are just silly
The Dash Goff episodes are pathetic and pandering Horrible
