No money, no cgi, but we.have a lot of actors who can kick ass.
This scene alone is the definition of crossover, chaos, and entertainment! Imagine the audience's reaction when seeing this in theaters. I bet some were on the edge of their seats, this is pure gold!
The stuntmen and women in Hong Kong were absolutely the best because of the choreography and meticulous planning and rehearsals! They made it much safer for themselves than it looked from the viewers perspective! Only the best martial artists could pull it off! Cindy and Norton were part of a small group of westerners with the skills! Thankfully everyone else in the industry have risen to the task 20 years later. Film school stage fighting classes are actually pretty good now compared to a few years ago!
That entire clip was pure perfection. So that's what happens when your cast is full of legitate martial artists.
The Katana to the dudes nuts made me yell outloud. I totally felt that shit lol
Lol me too! I wonder what was his last thought when he realized she "put" her katana there. 😂
Jesus christ this movie has everything, ninjas, cowboys, martial art masters.
😀😀
Cool Combination !!
Only Jackie Chan is not here.
What this movie takes place in the of west?
@@SatanicSlayer Nah but Yuen Biao and Sammo Hung are :)
Such an underrated film by Sammo Hung. An amazing ensemble cast of martial artists and amazing fight choreography.
This film never gets old. I have the movie on DVD and still have it.

One of the best ever ! Great casting, stunts and fights. All that missing was Jackie.
Dem! I was one year late, but still dropped the comment.
@@busterzigler7530 You're good ! I've been 10 years late on comments. 😄😄😄😄
I absolutely love that the cowboy martial artist dude has the same line(s) as he did in "Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars."
I FEEL IN LOVE WITH YUKARI OSHIMA AFTER SEEING HER PLAY THE FEMALE SAMURAI IN THIS MOVIE. SHE'S ONE OF MY FAVORITES. HER POWER & BEAUTY AMAZES ME.
This is the fight scene I wanted when I was watching Shanghi Noon
Hwang Jang Lee was one of the most complete leg fighter.
You can see him doing all kinda kicks and his moves were unbelievable, even today it feels amazing.
He trained Korean army taekwondo and Tang-soo-do before entering Hong Kong cinema.
Casanova was national Taekwondo champion.
Flash kicker- Tao-liang Tan was World taekwondo champion.
These korean guys were in better shape compared to the Chinese actors of that era.
Tao-liang Tan is the guy Who trained Taiwanese Chinese actor John Liu.
For me would be Yuen Biao, his kicks are straight and strong, and he's agile and acrobatic as well. It's ashamed he wasn't a bigger star outside of Hong Kong.
Hwang Jang Lee also played the main villain in the first Drunken Master movie with Jackie Chan which was what made him famous back in the late 70s.
The Best Martial Arts Movie ever, all best fighters in the same movie great: Sammo hung, Yuen Biao, Dick Wei, Hwang Jang Lee, Richard Norton, Cynthia Rothrock, Yukari Oshima, Yasuaki Kurata, Lam Ching Ying, Phillip Ko , James Tien, Bolo Yeung, .....and more

This was one of my favorite movies as a kid, I must've watched this dozens of times.
Me too mate
So glad i grew up off such a golden era of martial arts/films these guys were amazing
OSHIMA YUGARI THE BEST JAPANESE MARTIAL ART IN FILM EVER.
Hmmmm... I have not seen Cynthia Rothrock or Richard Norton in a long time...

0:39 damn!! What a move😮
1:03 Classic Sammo turning back kick.
I'm glad you posted this on UA-cam, this is still a great movie to watch and has a great fight sequence and has tons of martial arts actors in this movie!

David Kurata 🇯🇵 vs Richard Norton 🇬🇧
“Painful?!”
😂😂😂😂
Dumisa Tony Johnson wrong,Richard Norton is Australian men.
😂😂😂
As like as scene of City Hunter with Jacky Chan

Sammo Hung 🇭🇰 vs Cynthia Rothrock 🇺🇸
There aren't really anymore martial arts action stars left. It's just Donnie Yen and Scott Adkins. Oh! And Micheal Jai White. Everyone got old. I miss Keith Cooke, Loren Avedon, Gary Daniels, Cynthia Rothrock, Sammo Hung, Billy Blanks, Yuen Biao, Jackie Chan and so on😭

Honestly, the action stars of today are indie film and internet stars really. It really boomed during the late 90's and 2000's around the time of the matrix movies. Go on UA-cam and see the good stuff is still out there, just not on the main screen
Haven't you seen Max Zhang or Tony Jaa?
@Killforce Fighter
I see you wrote, "and so on", but I have to mention Michelle Yeoh, whom is still on Star Trek: Discovery.
@@Bendesho
Definitely Tony Jaa, but to me, Max Zhang seems to lack charisma.
Hwang Jang Lee is Korean portraiting Japanese Samurai along side with Yukari Oshima & Yasuaki Kurata. Didn't know he & Sammo Hung can also spoke Japanese.
Hwang Jang Lee is Japanese-Korean
The only thing this movie is missing is Billy Chow. He should've been is this movie for sure👊
Killforce Fighter he was offered a role but he couldnt make since he was training for a competition in kickboxing. He was suppose to play on of the bandits
We do get Wang Lung Wei though total badass
@@georgec1720
Lung Wei is one of the most underrated, his fight scene with Gordon Lui in Martial Club in the alley was one of the best

It feels like people from different times fight each other
When martial arts movies were good. I still prefer the era where HongKong martial art movies were still a thing, these days Chinese movies aren't that good.
Donnie Yen is still alive..but you are right the best actor are vanishing from our TV screen. It's really sad.
subscrib to my chanelv :D
My thoughts exactly. Hit it dead on the head.
Super Astral Health mcg
@Shazam Sakazaki
That's because Mainland China doesn't know how to PERFECT Martial Arts, like Hong Kong.
Even Mainlanders Jet Li + Wu Jing kick-started their careers in Hong Kong.
I really love this types of fights
Oshima Yukari was amazing. Mad I'm just finding out. That last shit she did to homeboy after she bust through the window was crazy.
She gave ya man's that Bushido Circumcision.
XH wmope
even the judge from 5 deadly venoms is in this one and he's fighting , love it!
Dude, that guy plays the main villain in a lot of Shaw Brothers films. His fight coragraphy is a lot better in those films. Best example would be the fight in the movie Martial Club, if you want to see just how good he is.
@@tootriggered802 Thanks, I'll take a look. Of course he fights in other shaw brothers movies, Avenging eagle is one of my fav SB movies. It was just cool seeing him in a modern times kung fu movie fighting.
He was in shaolin vs wutang and a bunch of others
Yukari
Superb! I would call this film a "sammo Hung's expendables"
The world was so much better back then.
What happened, the current generation is so boring
we are lucky, we saw all those fights
The current world stopped being original.
@@danielramsey6141
The "Beast System" killed originality unfortunately
@Foxy Paws
Some current martial artists got lazy, with CGI, etc...
Everything now computerised fighting. Any actor can be marital arts expert with the computer app
the amount of kung fu action stars in this movie is fucking incredible o . o
Love to see all Hong Kong legends together
Yukari oshima so cute
Very pretty
a.k.a. Cynthia Luster
one who played Farrah Cat in bioman
One of the best Martial arts movies
This movie was an all-star cast, at the end of the film those famous martial arts superstar arrived in the scene, to show their support for the film It was very nostalgic, that it never happened again.
Technically Expendables did it, but not really on the same level on the fights as the actors got much older by the time they decided to make that franchise.
Omg! All the legends are here! Sammo Hung, Yuen Biu, Dick Wei, Cynthia Rothrock, Yukari Oshima, Yasuaki Kurata, Hwang Jang Lee and Richard Norton! @_@
Jackie Chan MIA

Cynthia Rothrock: the original Sonya Blade.
She should have been Sonya indeed. Never thought about this before, but it makes all the sense in the world :)

One of my favourites!!
damn, so this was like the Avengers Infinity War of the martial arts of the previous century !!! SO MANY KUNG FU STARS IN ONE FREAKING MOVIE !! only missing there is *Jackie Chan*
theone itself seems like the Lau family was also missing here: frequent Sammo Hung co-star Lau Kar Wing, Pai Mei himself Gordon Liu and the legendary Lau Kar Leung, all seems to be absent here.
there's only 3 Kung Fu stars. the rest are karate guys from Western work or japan
Yukari Oshima Is The GOAT
Kung fu movies, the original superhero movies, and with practical effects.
So many talented martial artists!Kurata,Jang Lee,Norton,Rothrock,Hung,Biao and more!
Nothing beats these sound effects!
When sammo went full on bruce, he was handling business and letting her know what's up!
Cinematography is light years on Hollywood...
1:23 that music is fire.
They fight so hard in this movie!
Thank you for the upload. I saw it in the 90 too. I Was discussing with my trainingspartner who was the best fighter in the movie... Those days are simply gone... :-(
how come I didn't come across or heard about this movie it looks freaking awesome
It def is!
They don't make films like this anymore, sadly.
Maybe 2 or 3 other than Sammo might've gotten this much talent in one movie. 😊
