Very, very detailed review! I saw the Sony hx80 in best buy today and wanted to know how it compared to the Canon g7x. Out of all the reviews I have been watching nothing is comparing to the g7x.
Yeah like there are no better cameras than the g7x with the SAME sensor and better IQ...oh wait, there is that "rare" line up or Sony RX100 cameras... is this video for real?
The salesman at Best Buy said these 2 cameras could give same quality of footage. And once I got it home and started to record at 5:30am outside I couldn't see my face at all. This camera is a good price but I'm ready to take it back and just pay the difference for the canon g7x mark ii . Seriously disappointed at the quality for low light.
uLuvPodi this is EXACTLY why I made this video. The Best Buy salesman doesn’t understand their differences... like many beginners, he sees two cameras, shaped similarly, with flip-out screens, and knows nothing about the real differences. This video was not made to slam the Sony in any way.. but, it’s low light capabilities leave much to be desired. Now that you’ve seen this video and realize that sensor size plays a HUGE part in the differences between the two, if filming in low light is something you’d like the capability of doing... I’d go back and get the canon. Still at 530am it’s super dark.. I don’t really know of any camera that would shoot well in that situation
HueTubeR I did the comparison for those who only see 2 cameras with a selfie screen... for those who don’t understand why there is s mega price difference... those who don’t understand what sensors are. Now they know. There was a method to my madness
exactly and for most people Sony is more than enough; most people are not pro photographers and do not need slr or mor expensive cameras such as g7x m2
This video was made for folks that are on the fence about whether or not to spend the extra money for the quality. I made this video for those who don’t understand why there is a giant price difference... those who don’t understand what sensors are, why aperture is a important thing. Most beginners see 2 identical cameras... small, black, point & shoot, flip out screen... I'm filmed this video to point out their differences and strengths.
@@JordanHauserGbg Lol that was my exact thought process as to why would I go with the more expensive one, when they both do the same thing. Now I know preciate the information bro.It helps
great video, im from México and I buy the hx 80 a few days ago, im very happy with this camera because im a rookie in this whole world of photos and videos and its ok to get started to make videos, so greetings from Mexico
Great video Jordan. I'm looking for a good vlogging camera to replace my smartphone. Would you go for Canon G7X Mark II ? Has it got a microphone port? It has been over ten months since you bought this camera, any regrets? I'm tempted to buy this Canon.
+SamuelDaram it doesn’t have a mic port, that’s one thing I hate about it.. but it’s an amazing camera! The sound quality isn’t bad, just sounds like an on camera mic. Maybe a canon m5 or m6 might be best for you if you want the mic port but then we’re talking lenses... it’s all a give and take! But I don’t regret buying this camera at all ;)
Thanks for that advice Jordan. If it hadn't been for your review of the Canon G7X Mark II, I might have bought it. The fact that it doesn't have a mic port is a big turn off! Would you recommend a high quality camera in G7X's league that might have a mic port?
Bestbuy has the G7 for 599 with a spare battery and an SD card and tripod. They also have a sony A6000 mirrorless with a kit lens for 499. Strictly for shooting photos (very rarely would I shoot videos, if ever), is the mirrorless a better buy?
Unfortunately, that's like finding a needle in a haystack :( There are other cameras out there that are better in low light, but the reason is because of things like a larger sensor, wider aperture, improved ISO... but most of these are features used in more expensive cameras. What low light situation are you trying to film in, maybe that will help me understand your situation a little better :)
Hello, love the info for these cameras. What camera/s would you recommend for a beginner using a camera for blogging/youtube videos/pictures ( under $600 ) .
+Rebecca H hey thanks! The Sony a6500 is actually a really nice camera for that price range. You can do a comparison at www.cameradecision.com and see if it meets all your needs.
i had several canon point and shoot zoom cameras before my sony. I could never get more than a few minutes of hd filming done before the batteries started acting weird in the canons. This was never an issue with the sony. What is the longest clip you can shoot with that canon? And how much time total? cheers, thanks in advance
+spijkerpoes the canon shot for 30 minutes at a time. I always used it as a second angle for my UA-cam videos. It always ran the whole way to 30 minutes, never had a problem.
Hi Anna! I have not actually had my hands on the J5, but I do know a little bit about it... it's got a lot of good things going for it! Flip up screen for vlogging, shoots in 4k, 1 inch sensor, and high speed video at a whopping 1200fps.... that's insane! But at speeds that high, the footage doesn't look great on this camera :( I've seen reviews that say it's not the greatest in low light, but if you're filming in decent light, I'd imagine that it should be okay! The canon g7xmkii can be found on the link in my description for a really good price... and it shoots incredible video in low light. If you're okay with buying slightly used gear, that's a good option too!
Oh okay thank you, I am taking a digital video and Digital photography course next semester so most of the students I’ve met has the canon g7 I wanted to get something different lol but it seems to be the best out of all. Do you happen to know if a newer one of that cannon is coming out soon because I can wait until next year to buy it since the courses are in the spring.
Please help! I bought the G7x and am having terrible trouble with the autofocus noise! It’s a really annoying clicking noise when I’m filming is there anything I can do to stop this 😩😭
+Charley Bourne Don’t fret, it’s not the autofocus! Go through the menu and turn off the stabilization. That same thing happened to me. But I eventually turned it back on and the click went away. Not sure why or how for that matter?? But give that a shot and see if it stops :)
Need your advice! I have a go pro session 5 and a Sony a6000. I would like a blogging video and was thinking of getting the Sony DSC HX80 because from another video I saw, the “movie” setting prevents the zoom in and zoom out noise. But your review was very convincing of the canon, I want to start adding videos to my blog. What should I do?
+Hola Raquel honestly, the Sony is a great choice! I’m actually in the middle of making a video about how to shoot in slow motion with the hx80 right now! My only issue with the HX 80 is that it is not good for filming in low light situations. If you have a bunch of light or if you’re filming next to a window during the day or outside, the checks 80 is a great camera. If you have the money to spend and you would like a better camera with a larger sensor then I would go with the canon. Hope this helped!!!
So I'm brand spanking new to photography/videography. I am a roller coaster enthusiast that is looking to take good action pictures and also vlog in theme parks. Would the HX 80 be horrible to start with? Most of my shots would be day time. The only time I'd shoot at night is to vlog at late night moments, and the flash may help. I'd also occasionally take pictures of well lit up coasters at night. Would this be a bad beginning option as opposed to a phone?
+Christian Coasters awesome man! So the hx80 is a fantastic option, it would certainly do the job! Phone would be a great option too, but the zoom of the hx80 has the phone beat for sure. I think either option would serve you well especially during the daytime with lots of light!
I just got both got different reasons. Sony for zoom. Canon for aperture. I was able to get both for $400 total. 150 for Sony and 250 for Canon to go along with my Fuji x20.
Watched 2 of your videos on the HX 80 & really liked them. I just bought the HX80 and really know nothing about cameras so I hope to learn from your videos. I did learn what the iso setting is for from this video and what adjustment to make in low light. Thanks!
can anyone please help me figure out how I can transfer the photos from my camera (sony HX80) to my iphone? I did the instructions in the manual and i watched some videos but nothing is working? please help
I saw your video and I think it is fantastic, thanks for that. Could you please give some advice or kind a comparation between this canon camera and the panasonic lumix zs100? I am considering buying the panasonic because of its 10x zoom.
I've vlogged with the hx80 for about 8 months now but I've just ordered the canon g7x mark 2, should be here this week. Can't wait for it to arrive and I can finally get even better footage for my weekly vlogs. Great video man and thanks I definitely made the right choice
YES!!! Dude, the HX80 did a great job outdoors during the day... but because of the small sensor, it was tough to get decent picture quality indoors. I'm happy for you mate!! Let me know when you get it!!
Thanks for that. I like the low light capability of the Canon 24-100mm but the Sony HX80 has the reach I need and 720mm is why I decided upon that. Just wish the Sony had a 1" sensor.
Good video, the G7X II is indeed a great camera. But somewhere this is a crooked comparison. Comparing the Canon G7X II vs Sony RX100 VI or VII would have been better. Or the Sony HX80 vs Canon SX740 HS is also more similair and more close to each other in specs.
Wow you got into details that everyone else keeps overlooking. Like the built in ND filter. Everyone keeps saying that the G7x is way to over exposed. Even big youtubers say it. But it has an ND filter use it! Lol. Great review
I need to replace the thread on my hx80 but I’m having trouble finding a replacement thread since it’s not just a stripped metal screw port. Where can I get one?
+myeclecticself here you go! You’ll have to drill out the existing thread and Frankenstein it together. This is what I used Fotasy SR10 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 Reducer Bushing Convert Screw Adapter (10 packs) www.amazon.com/dp/B00BJW3082/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_lzSjCbJSY5J4B
I agree with Jordan on this. If you just want a camera to stick in your pocket and pull out for a quick photo on auto the HX-80 is a terrific choice. If you want to take things to the next level then the G7X will take you there.
Very good video. I learned a lot. I was thinking about buying the HX-80 but I stumbled on the lumix TZ-90. Can you please help me to understand which one is better and why?
Gemz Hair and Beauty I’m so glad you learned a lot! I would tell you to look on cameradecision.com and compare the two cameras. Make sure that you pay close attention to sensor size. Thx for watching!! I hope you subscribe!
I'm excited to get the sony today! Even though the picture looks way better with the G7, I gotta start somewhere and the price point for the sony is great
Thanks for the detailed review! I’ve been looking into buying a camera because I would like to start vlogging but I am a newbie. I will be going to Europe very soon so I’m checking out which cameras are out there 😰
+Sophia Edralin like I tell everyone.. if you’re new to the game, the best camera is in your pocket!! You can get a rode micro external microphone for your phone and get better audio than both cameras! You can hook up your phone to a selfie stick OR a gorilla pod too. Would there be any reason that you wouldn’t want to use your phone? You can make your phone a vlogging beast for only a fraction of what you’d spend on one of these. Plus the ability to record great audio is awesome
Jordan Hauser Digital : wow!! Thank you for the tip!! Do you recommend which software to use for editing videos? I have the iPhone 6S Plus. By chance, did you make a video on vlogging with an iPhone?
+PersonalTouch Productions so it’s got a two-pronged limit... it’s 30 min OR 4gb... whichever comes first. Most dslr canons have these limits but instead of stopping at ~4.7gb is splits them into separate files that seamlessly cut together. The G7x mark II seems to actually just stop recording one it hits its 4gb limit or 30 minuets, like I said earlier. Thanks for asking!!
Congratulations! You showed in a easy way many awesome informations about those cameras! Please, could you give me an advice about 2 cameras? I am going to have a trip to Europe and im looking for my first câmera and still dont know which one is the best one for me. H400 or HX80....I saw the problems about the light using HX80...but h400 does not allow take selfies, has a great zoom and its heavier than HX80. Which one has better quality? I am traveling with just my Wife and my Samsung Galaxy S6. Congratulations again and thanks so much!!!
+victor c. Thanks for watching!! I’d go with the hx80 and shoot in daylight with it. I think you’ll get better results from your phone at night. Thank you!!
Thank you for some of the teaching you did. How about the Canon G9 x mark 2? I am going on a trip soon and am debating about using my cell phone as my camera (which I have done before, and thought the pictures to be dull - poor color) or get a pocket camera. I'm not interested in spending tons of $, so the HX80 or HX90(v) and such are of interest.
No problem man! If I were you, I would check out this link... cameradecision.com/review/Canon-PowerShot-G9-X-Mark-II It will fill you in on all of the specs for the camera. One thing that stands out is the fact that it has a 1" sensor much like the g7x mark 2... which immidiately will give you better images than a micro 2/3 sensor that the line of sony's offer at the same price point. Let me know what you decide!
Hey. You did an excellent job of assessing these two cameras. Thanks. My wife LOVES her Canon SX280 but the gearing is grinding on the telescoping barrel. I am looking at replacing it and liked what I saw with the HX80. But would love the G7 but the price is going to keep that from happening. Right now it is $649 at B and H. The HX80 is $318. So my question: Is there a camera that would be a better buy around the $300 area than the Sony? And I am looking for the link that you mentioned but there is nothing on my iPad that looks like a link for a company dealing in refurbed equipment. Keep up the great presentation. Very good.
Your forgetting one important factor unless I missed where you mentioned it? , sensor size, bigger sensors will always be better and if image quality is your main goal which it should be the g7x wins all day long, you get what you pay for.
This was an awesome review! I have the x80 right now and am looking for ways to help improve my footage until i can eventually upgrade. I’m really new to camera usage so I’m glad i came across this video. Thanks!
The Creager Family awesome! Hey, any questions you have, just let me know! I have a few other videos solely dedicated to the hx80 and an ebook with tips and tricks for maxing out that cameras quality. Check it out & have fun!!
Fantastic and thorough video! I love our G7X and now I fully understand and appreciate its capabilities. Just subscribed and looking forward to checking out your other videos.
very good review, I loved how u mentioned the best nd worst of both bc today no lie I just went to best buy nd they didn't have the G7x but the guy there said sony hx80 was the next on the mirror list. I'm a canon vlogger but I got the sony, so far I really like it for vlogging in decent light.
I had a hard time picking between the 2 cameras..nd was hesitant on anything other than the g7x but u gave me some confidence in the sony. It was a great showdown. Nice video
Seriously THANK YOU .... it was a bit slow for get into the video... just your rhythm maybe or my sugar level ahah (LOVE the intro B roll really original visually sweet stuff). But your detailed analysis is brilliant. low light comparison was a clincher, spot on and SPECIFIC.
Simon Gonzalez thank you very much man! New videos will be much easier to follow as I’m focusing on giving you the value the video will provide immediately. Hope you enjoy!!
Thanks for this video! Don’t listen to others, this was very useful as I wanted to cheap out and get the Sony. But after this I think I’ll pay the extra money for the g7x.
+Mimi thanks!! It’s really all in what you can do (financially) and what you’re willing to invest into your channel... while the Sony will kick some serious ass in bright light, the canon has the built in ND for super bright days, and can handle low light. So, it’s all in what you want!
My husband just bought me the Sony one . I was looking for something more affordable . We just had our first baby and I wanted a decent but budget friendly camera to take photos of my daughter . Would it be just fine for that ? I didn’t do much research on the camera but I just want to take good photos of my baby 😅
It really is the better choice of the 2 obviously. I wanted to make this video so that people realize what features make the mark ii so expensive and so good. Let me know how you like it!!
If you're shooting outdoors in nice beautiful light, I'd recommend that either one would be great! If price is an issue, I know that the hx80 does great work in bright light. The g7x is a super nice camera too, but on the expensive side. Also, thanks a ton! I hope my reply on the other video helps you out as well.
Good video! Very helpful. I live in Canada the Canon is $899 with tax $1,015! Although it's better that is just WAY too much. I'm probably going to go for the Sony which is $475 with tax
I want it for my youtube channel, mainly video, some photos. Also, plan on getting a ring light this Christmas. The Sony A5000 seems similar so I'm also looking into that
It’s the same thing they film and you can take pictures also you can hear yourself so if you have a camera it’s camera so please don’t judge maybe people can’t afford it
I will definitely be getting the Sony. I just need something for vlogging and I think this would do great. I only vlog in the day light anyways 😂 thanks for the video!! The canon will be next on the list in the future cause it really is lovely. But since I’m a beginner, I’ll stick to the Sony. I’ve been using my iPhone 8 anyways.
+Tatiana Victoria that’s a great plan! Its biggest downfall is the low light.. but if you’re vlogging in nice bright daylight, then you don’t have to worry! Keep it up!!
i don't understand why you compare a Sony ultra zoom camera vs canon g7x mark II. the cameras is two different category. If you gone compare canon g7x mark II it would be most fair if u did it against Sony RX100 III, iv or V. same cmos sensor.
I made this video More for beginners who don’t see those differences... they only see 2 cameras that look similar with a flip out screen. In this video I compare and contrast the cameras so they understand the differences and why they are at two different price points.
I haven't used the g7x for any photography, only video. But, I will tell you that it does have IS for video... but I have mine turned off because the IS motor is LOUD AF :( I loved the HX80 but now I default to the g7x mkii because of the picture quality that the bigger sensor offers. Additionally, the g7x mkii makes shooting videos much easier due to it's fast aperture.. I love being able to get those few extra stops out of the g7x
Thanks for the video, I would like to buy a compact camera (not so expensive), like around 350-500$, with a good zoom and low light quality photos and videos. I can't decide between Canon G7X MII (good for low light photos and videos but not in zoom quality), Nikon coolpix A900 (excellent zoom but not for take videos or photos without low light...), and now, watching your video, the Sony HX90 I love the price :) So, any help is welcome. 😉
Arleni Daloz to be honest, I would go with the g7x mkii. Being able to shoot in Low light is soooo important. Plus the sensor is larger than those other 2 cameras.. so you’ll get better photo/video quality. If zoom is what you’re worried about, just know that you can always move closer to something... you want the best picture quality, that’s most important. Hope this helps!!
But I feel like too much editing and high quality in a video just makes it too corny , I Remember back in the days , I was recording my videos on 380P WHEN LIFE WAS SIMPLE. I wouldn’t honestly just go with the Sony.
You could always go with the RX100 v, that seems to be the most comparable model to the g7x mark 2. Sony is an amazing brand, so I'm sure that camera is AWESOME
Kevin P I'm showing the differences between an expensive camera and a budget camera.. and giving pointers on how you can make the budget camera work for you if you can't afford the expensive one... but thx for watching dude!
Thanks, it could have been my take on it. Just seemed like you were pointing out how inferior the Sony was to the Canon. I came across your video while trying to get information on the Sony. LOL, I was thinking, well heck maybe I shouldn't get the Sony.
Kevin P unfortunately I am not familiar with the Panasonic.. check out a website called cameradecision.com and you can compare the two cameras side-by-side. It's a very helpful tool! Sorry man!!

I just got both got different reasons. Sony for zoom. Canon for aperture. I was able to get both for $400 total. 150 for Sony and 250 for Canon to go along with my Fuji x20.
Where did you buy them for those prices?!
Damn, I was gonna cheap out on the Sony cause it’s on sale at Best Buy rn and now I’m not ....... lol gotta keep saving my money now.
Watched 2 of your videos on the HX 80 & really liked them. I just bought the HX80 and really know nothing about cameras so I hope to learn from your videos. I did learn what the iso setting is for from this video and what adjustment to make in low light. Thanks!
+chemdevil726 man, awesome! I’m really glad. I made a bunch of videos about the hx80, so there should be a lot of decent info in those!
can anyone please help me figure out how I can transfer the photos from my camera (sony HX80) to my iphone? I did the instructions in the manual and i watched some videos but nothing is working? please help
I’m really glad that you compared these two cameras!!! I’ve been looking for cheaper options to the canon so I appreciate this.
+Pulaski Falls awesome, glad you liked it! The Sony works great if you give it lots of light!
Jordan Hauser Digital I will do
Amazing comparison! Really, the best I have ever seen!
Yo, thanks man! I really appreciate it. Yes, the built in ND is a life-saver... Not sure why most people don't talk about that? Thx for watching!
Does the Sony HX80 have the option to connect an external microphone..? with an USB adapter?
+Sky D It does not, and neither does the g7x!
Would you recommend the Sony HX80 as a first camera although it’s not as advanced as the g7x mark ll
Austin D Flips I absolutely would! The hx80 is a great camera for the money
I agree with Jordan on this. If you just want a camera to stick in your pocket and pull out for a quick photo on auto the HX-80 is a terrific choice. If you want to take things to the next level then the G7X will take you there.
would definitely recommend the hx80 very good camera
Great video... one thing I noticed though is that the sony image was much more stable...
Jordan Hauser Digital I actually did that already lol. I just wanted a personal opinion but thank you so much.
If you dont mind a low lighting camera with a selfie mirror i think that camera is GREAT for small youtubers
+Stooze couldn’t agree more!
I'm excited to get the sony today! Even though the picture looks way better with the G7, I gotta start somewhere and the price point for the sony is great
Excellent sir.
The way you explained and showed the difference was fantastic.
+Roberto Salazar thanks a lot man! I appreciate that :) cheers!!
So witch one should I get just list one g7x or sony just tell me plz
The link for the canon doesn't work.
one problem that I only have with the G7X mk2 is that the auto focus is very slow, the mk3 even has a slower auto focus than the mk2
I enjoy how you compare how well a feature is on one camera to the other. Really awesome review!
Basically Blue yo, thx!! I appreciate it!!
Looking to upgrade from my Sony to the canon so this is so helpful! Thank you!
That's awesome, I'm glad this helped out! Let me know what you think... I'm interested to check out your stuff!
What camera did you use to make this video?
+Camesha Cormier canon 80d and canon 6d 😎🤙
does is have a video recording limit? like 20-30 minutes or what?
+PersonalTouch Productions so it’s got a two-pronged limit... it’s 30 min OR 4gb... whichever comes first. Most dslr canons have these limits but instead of stopping at ~4.7gb is splits them into separate files that seamlessly cut together.
The G7x mark II seems to actually just stop recording one it hits its 4gb limit or 30 minuets, like I said earlier. Thanks for asking!!
Glad I continued to scroll before getting the Sony HX80. Grey help!👍🏾
Just subbed you’re so funny man and straight to the point!
Also is the sony one good for a starting youtuber? Since I do use ring lights
I currently have the Sony camera it is very good with ring lights for sure!
Why would they use a plastic screw thing for the tripod stands
incredible review. thanks for this.
Thank you!!
@@JordanHauserGbg , thanks so much!!!! I'll get it!!!
Would the G7X take high quality photos for a nighttime concert?
Thank you for some of the teaching you did. How about the Canon G9 x mark 2?
I am going on a trip soon and am debating about using my cell phone as my camera (which I have done before, and thought the pictures to be dull - poor color) or get a pocket camera.
I'm not interested in spending tons of $, so the HX80 or HX90(v) and such are of interest.
No problem man! If I were you, I would check out this link... cameradecision.com/review/Canon-PowerShot-G9-X-Mark-II
It will fill you in on all of the specs for the camera.
Very good.
You deserve way more subscribers!!
+Gabiche yo, I really appreciate that!
Amazing video
Thankyou helped a lot
+Dave S awesome, I’m glad to hear that!
Your forgetting one important factor unless I missed where you mentioned it? , sensor size, bigger sensors will always be better and if image quality is your main goal which it should be the g7x wins all day long, you get what you pay for.
+peter thomas yes sir, I mentioned it a few times! It's absolutely important and provides the best image quality. Agreed! Thanks for watching!
If you in Canada and order online it’s double the price then in store here, like Best Buy
What camera did record for this video
+OFFTHEWALL TV 80d :)
Great detailed review man 💯
I greatly appreciate this vid sir!
+Chugg 300 man, thank you 🙌🏼
THAT INCEPTION PART 😂😂😂👌🏻
Thank you sooo much for helping me😆
+Tracy Asimbaya glad I could help! 🙂
Thanks man this video was very helpful.
Awesome! I'm glad that you dug it. They're both great cameras, it all depends on your budget and what you need it to do :)
Thank you.
This helped so much thank u!!!
+Kaitlyn Kirby awesome!
Fantastic and thorough video! I love our G7X and now I fully understand and appreciate its capabilities. Just subscribed and looking forward to checking out your other videos.
Ah man, I'm really glad you liked it! I'm learning something new everyday!
very good review, I loved how u mentioned the best nd worst of both bc today no lie I just went to best buy nd they didn't have the G7x but the guy there said sony hx80 was the next on the mirror list. I'm a canon vlogger but I got the sony, so far I really like it for vlogging in decent light.
Sinaz Vlog awesome! The hx80 is a great little camera. You are right, in good light it performs well!
I had a hard time picking between the 2 cameras..nd was hesitant on anything other than the g7x but u gave me some confidence in the sony. It was a great showdown. Nice video
Awesome! Well, I subbed your channel... Can't wait to see what you do with it!
Thank u i subed to urs as well. Still climbing
Awesome comparison man thanks!
Thanks for the review! It was very helpful
+ZebbyZelf i’m glad it helped you out!
The comparison on paper is awesome ... effective !!! LOVED it.
I have been leaning towards the Canon for a while now but now my mind is made up. Happy Christmas to me :)
Thank you !! Great detailed educated honest review just what I needed
What about audio?
Great review! thanks for the tips!
thank you so much! this is exactly what I was looking for. Im totally going with the g7x ii now lol
It really is the better choice of the 2 obviously. I wanted to make this video so that people realize what features make the mark ii so expensive and so good. Let me know how you like it!!
No videos just still pics mostly in daylight out of doors. Now what would you recommend? A new subscriber.
OMG!! That's just highway robbery! The Sony is a good camera if you shoot in a bunch of light... as long as you can put the iso low, you'll be good!
I want it for my youtube channel, mainly video, some photos. Also, plan on getting a ring light this Christmas. The Sony A5000 seems similar so I'm also looking into that
Athina Carolina very nice! The a5000 is a nice camera... very fast auto focus!
Great video bro I'm getting the hx80 for Christmas I subbed and liked most your videos keep up the good work❤️😇
Dude, thank you so much! So rad of you. Just make sure you shoot in a bunch of light & you're going to love that camera!
What’s the song called in your intro? Also nice review man!
Noah Bilyeu thanks a lot man! I’ll have to check, I know I bought it from audiojungle.net
Definitely going to get the G7X for my vlogs :)
thank you so much for the review , i like it and i am new subscriber here
i don't understand why you compare a Sony ultra zoom camera vs canon g7x mark II. the cameras is two different category.
You can't take a decent picture of a bird with the g7x mark 11. The zoom is why you would by the HX80, and it has image stabilization for video.
I can't decide between Canon G7X MII (good for low light photos and videos but not in zoom quality), Nikon coolpix A900 (excellent zoom but not for take videos or photos without low light...), and now, watching your video, the Sony HX90 I love the price :)
So, any help is welcome.
Jordan Hauser Digital thank you very much, it really helps me. I will go for my new camera g7x mii.. 😬
if cant move closer.. which u suggest?
@@JordanHauserGbg0
But I feel like too much editing and high quality in a video just makes it too corny , I Remember back in the days , I was recording my videos on 380P WHEN LIFE WAS SIMPLE. I wouldn’t honestly just go with the Sony.
So what is a comparable Sony to the Canon? There are so many different models I'm getting lost in all the specs.
You could always go with the RX100 v, that seems to be the most comparable model to the g7x mark 2. Sony is an amazing brand, so I'm sure that camera is AWESOME
New subscriber thank you 🙏 for this video
To me you are not comparing apples to apples. You should compare the Sony to say a Canon SX730 or Nikon A900 which are more on a level playing field.
Kevin P oh no way, I love that Sony! It was my first vlogging cam :) as long as you have enough light… That camera is phenomenal!
Jordan, are you familiar with the Panasonic ZS70? I am on the fence between getting the Sony HX80 and the Panasonic. What are your thoughts?
Kevin P unfortunately I am not familiar with the Panasonic.. check out a website called cameradecision.com and you can compare the two cameras side-by-side. It's a very helpful tool! Sorry man!!
Good video, looking for a camera for my new channel.
