He's a populist. I'd venture to say he presents a tru-ism and not The Truth. His views are openly prejudiced at times.

That case was a matter of public record in 1992, and was thrown out of court at the time and multiple psychologists and investigators came to the conclusion it had little merit. It’s bizarre people have amnesia and pretend 2014-15 was the first time it was ever mentioned

The New Beverly Cinema in Hollywood is my favorite theatre in the city. Popcorn is only a dollar and the tickets are super cheap. I've seen films such as Casablanca, Streetcar Named Desire, Double indemnity, The Big Sleep and a couple of Woody movies too. There's great comradery and a palpable bond amongst the audience that you don't feel in the big theatres. It's a little treasure in LA then many locals don't even know about. I definitely recommend going if you visit or live in the LA area.

i love henry for saying positive things about woody allen. seemingly everyone on youtube is either a teenager who knows nothing of the multitude of great work allen's churned out over the years or an aging conservative hell-bent on digging into his private business.
i love woody allen because he makes films that move me. do i love all of them? no. but his influence is such that i will take the risk (and it isn't a big one) and spend $8 on a movie ticket every single time he puts out a new film.

Big budget films need studios to exist. However, with millions of dollars invested in them, the studios don't want to take any risks, severely limiting the filmmaker's creativity. That's why there's so many more important films (as long as we're talking about creativity and boundary-pushing) that are made with little or no money.

America is a country, and in every country is a culture, or are cultures - America definitely has one, but it's based today on popularity, hence 'pop culture'. It's our main driving point, something is cool for a minute, everyone follows, and then we pick up something else.

Hey, "Bitter"Cycle, go see a LIVE Rollins show. He rants and jokes for an hour, then 2 hours of telling stories of his visits to "dangerous" countries like Laos, Cambodia, and PAKISTAN.
DOING that (not just TALKING about it!) is way more courageous, bold, tough, etc. than saying "I like to f--k, and destroy stuff". I'm glad to see Rollins growing up, he still has a HUGE following with the college kids. I guess wanting to appreciate the beauty of life and humanity is "popular" these days. :)

I went to see Vicky Cristina Barcelona, in the biggest theater in Berlin, in the second day of exhibition. Was surprising how much people were in the room: if it were more than 15 was too much. To see such a masterpiece. It's a shit to think that most of people spend their time and money seeing the common-american-blockbuster shit and don't even know who is Woody allen, even in a country so intellectualized as Germany. But i am also sure that Woody himself don't give a fuck about it.

They don't make movies like that anymore, why movies weren't even around when we were kids. We had to pitch a pup tent outside at night and me and my brother we each had a mason jar. Ben had lightning bugs in his jar for the lighting, and me, I had a mason jar full of moths and then late at night we'd open both jar lids together and watch the moths and lightning bugs dance around inside the tent and that's how we made movies.
