This dude just schooled the internet 👀
😎
I honestly thought the reviews were overhyping the 35 1.4 but I traded my f2 for a used 1.4 a couple of weeks ago and I don’t want to shoot with anything else. The look with a 1/2 black pro mist is so fire.
The way you talk about photography is so honest and refreshing and hilarious. Going back over your videos and absolutely loving it. Thank you for so much content to watch. My setup is xpro2 + 35 1.4 + pro mist + squarehood. Just wish it was sharper in the corners wide open...kidding!!
I like your approach. Sometimes I just can't believe how much people complain about already amazing gear. The 35mm 1.4 is a beauty. Subscribed!
Aaah! You got me. On my third time owning this lens and I am not letting it go this time. I love it.
Excellent video. Love the honesty and the content. One of the few channels where the content is meaningful. This is my next lens.
Just picked up mine a few days ago and did my first shoot with it and this lens blew me away. I watched your first video on it and it sold me. THANK YOU!
Much appreciated 🤝
You just earned a subscriber. No BS and straight to the point.
Best review of this classic Fuji lens that I've seen. Love the no B.S. approach, too.
Love to fresh start a day with a bunch of your honesty😊❤
I have mine for 10 years now, originally bought it with the X-Pro1 and both still deliver fantastic result.
Brother, you should do ALL Fuji reviews from now on man, great work, instant sub
Appreciate the effort bro. I have recently discovered Fujfilm magic and I fall in love with it after research.
Just got this lens today and everything you said in this vid is correct. I used to have the old canon 50mm 1.8 and that lens was noisier that the fujifilm but like you said a lot of people don’t care about the noise, they just want a good photo.
Finally, someone else who loves this lens, I've had it since my X-pro1, now it's on my X-T10 and X-E3. It's never let me down and gives me exactly what I want. I've been thinking I was the only fan!
Back here again. Just got mine for my X-Pro 1 and wooooooow.
That was a good noise! Lol
Another great video man, loved the recent series of videos discussing some of the Fuji lenses, very insightful
Much appreciated my man!
Man, just when I got an x100t and tell myself that 23mm is the way to go, you reminded me of why I fell in love with my favorite lens and that 50mm eq fl in the first place!
This is my second (better) copy and I'll never ever gonna sell it again.
Enjoying your videos, bro!
Thanks man and go make some art!
In 2022 I started photography again and treated myself to an X-T3 including a Fujinon 35mm 1.4. A good decision. 😉 Thanks for the video! ❤
I have used the Fujifilm 35mm f/1.4 for VOGUE, ELLE, Numero, GRAZIA etc... Love it!
I had it with X-Pro2 and sold both 2 years ago. Last week, I went through all my photos and every photo that spoke to me was shot with 35 1.4. I ordered one again last night even though 33 1.4 was announced. Can’t wait to have it back.
It's just a great focal length and lens really.
I really am attracted to this lens as a companion to my X-Pro2 which I use exclusively for travel mainly with a 16-55. So the "sensible" me realizes that most of my Fuji images are landscapes as I use my GRIII for informal and people shots. I'm concerned I buy this beaut and not use it enough!
my absolute favourite lens ever. much love
Same!
Oh man, this lens and xt1 are some other level ❤...that senzor and 35mm 1.4 just filmic heaven!
I agree with you about this lens. The combination of beautiful rendering, fast aperture, and small size is unique and invaluable. I’ll add that, for my personal family photography, I’ve found that the 35 is about the longest lens I want. I’ve also used the 56, but the photos I take with the 35 have a special intimacy and interactivity to them, I think because I’m standing a little closer to my subjects and can interact with them. I think I see some of that same vibe in your pictures, too.
My sentiments exactly. There’s only one lens I will never give up again and it’s the 35/1.4. It’s too valuable for my personal photos. Everything else I’ll sell if I’m not using it a lot but the 35/1.4? It always ends back up on my camera somehow some way.
I agree. The 35/1.4 is such a remarkable lens that has held up so well over the years, even with the newer, more demanding sensors. We've been begging Fuji to give us a 35/1.4 v2 for years with the exact same optical formula, but weather-sealed. Maybe one day!
Lovely sample shots and very interesting points made, good humour too man 😂
Appreciated 🤝
Kinda wild coming across one of your older videos. Always been keeping it real.
For 4 years this was my only lens (paired with an XT-1. I recently traded it and my 16 1.4 for the 16-55 2.8 which gives me more all round flexibility, but I will miss its “magic” and one day I’ll get another copy for sure.
Still using my XT2 with xf 35mm f1.4 around 5 years now.. Really love it. 😀👍
Keep doing good work bro❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dee, great stuff, and again no B.S content...love it. I have both the XT3 and XT1 (and a bunch in between), but for me, the 35mm 1.4 on the XT1 is just pure magic to this 70 yr old man's eyes :) One last thing, as was posted before, you do have great hair...lol.
Lmoa thank you for the hair comment and yes even on my 27 year old eyes it is magical when I paired it with my handy xh1
Next to my 16/1.4, the 35/1.4 is absolutely my favorite lens on my Xpro2. I did exactly what you said, I had it when I bought the xpro1 and I fell into the "AF is slow" crowd and sold it and immediately regretted it. I had to buy it again and now I will never get rid of it.....From my cold dead hands! 😂
my dawg is always spitting facts.
Agreed with you about this lens.
Lovely!😍
Thanks Arina!
Totally agree Dee. The 35mm 1.4 was the first lens I purchased for my Xpro 2 many years ago and I have since added the 16 1.4, 23 1.4 & 56 1.2, yet when go through my images, invariably the ones I like most and the "keepers" were taken on the 35mm 1.4. It is the lens that is on my camera 90% of the time and I would never part with it. My desert island lens.
Perfect way to put that - desert island lens. I've tried every Fuji lens. Big, small, fast, faster, and fastest; yet for some reason that puzzles every pixel peeper and bokeh whore in the world I choose the dinky, old, noisy, soft, flawed 35/1.4. Maybe I'm just not as great a photographer as people have been quick to say - or maybe the lens is just that damn special.
I recently got an X-Pro2. 50mm is my favorite focal length on my film rangefinders, so naturally I want to shoot a 35 on the Fuji. I'm currently using the voigtlander 35mm 1.4 Nokton as my main lens on it, (and I like manual focusing anyway) but if I were to get a Fuji 35 I think i'd go for the 1.4 version over the 2. Your video pretty much guarantees that you can't go wrong with it.
I appreciate that. It's a great lens and my favorite focal length also
Dee Rosa I like this video. Stay blessed and real.
Hi, what you’ve shared did make sense to me…..I will go ahead to buy this lens today😂
Hi Dee, fantastic information again. I'm getting a chance to use this lens on my friends X-Pro 1 this weekend it's to give me a taste of what the X-Pro 3 maybe like before I pull the trigger on it. Going with what you said about the lens, it sounds perfect for me and my street stuff. 😎👍
The lens perform better on X-Pro3
Hey man. It's an amazing all around lens. I don't know who's such great optics fit into a little package but they got it to work.
True. The focus algorithm in the processor is way more advanced
thanks for the real talk! now im getting one…
Love this lens. Own it. Great review. No bullshit here. :)
I own X-Pro1 and 35mm f1.4 since they came out. It is a slow combo... and I love it because of that. It makes me think twice about the shot I am about to take and rewards me with photos that are just outstanding! For everything else I have faster cameras with faster af glass 🤷♂️... oh and for quick snapshots I have an iPhone in my pocket
One of the few UA-cam channels I'm always disappointed the moment a video comes to an end. Love the content, the honesty and also the rants. Thanks man, always a joy to watch
Im never, ever selling mine. New copy from Japan, razor sharp at 1.4 and beautiful rendition of colors in every shot. Beautiful lens, makes me wish that lenses came back to being this fast and small again... Tradeoffs, tradeoffs. Will eventually pick up a newer 18mm f1.4 to use alongside.
I had the Fuji 23mm f2 and 56mm f1.2 R and got rid of them when I got the 35mm f1.4, it's so good!
THANK YOU for finally calling out the “too noisy for video” myth. Drives me crazy.
You're preaching to the choir with me. I love this lens and can't argue with a single point that you have made.
With decades of film shooting under my belt, the Fujifilm XF 35mm f/1.4 gives me the closest to a film-like rendering of any of my multiple systems and lenses.
that's actually why I love it. It reminds me of when I started and then adapted glass. It's beautiful.
I completely agree with you as it's my favorite Fujifilm lens as well. I owned the 35mm f/2.0 for a long time and loved it, I still prefer the aperture ring on that one but the f/1.4 aperture ring is fine. The size is INCREDIBLE, and that's coming from a 20 some odd year DSLR user. It's amazing how small this lens is with autofocus and f/1.4 aperture!?!?!
The rendering is beautiful, the focusing speed is pretty good on either my X-T1 or X-T3 where it's pretty quick. It's not super expensive (bought brand new for $599), and it's built well though yes I do wish it were weather sealed.
Also it is SHARP wide open, very surprising how sharp it was when I first got it. I have shot many many years of 50mm equivalent lenses as it's my favorite FOV, so this lens pretty much lives on the X-T3.
It did a lovely job on a maternity shoot two weeks ago. The lens is just fantastic. Oh, and it's beautiful to look at as well haha.
People UNDERESTIMATE the sharpness and I wonder if it's because people who've never tried it were the ones saying it's the f2 version was sharper 🤔
@@DeeRosa perhaps, I always heard about the sharpness difference between the two......but having owned both lenses at the same time, it's a non-issue. To me it's the same thing as saying the D810 isn't sharp because it's only got 36mp and the D850 has 45mp...they're both sharp, one is just sharp-ER it didn't suddenly make the other one less sharp.
Also the f/1.4 is sharper at f/1.4 than the f/2.0 is at f/1.4 haha.
Lol that's true and yeah! I agree. But that's how people made it sound for some odd reason.
@@DeeRosa I wanted quite a while before I finally decided to buy the f/1.4 and man I'm so glad I didn't wait forever haha. It's been great to me so far and I imagine it'll be great to me for many more years.
Like you said, it's one of those lenses that if anything happens to it or you sell it for some crazy reason, you'll buy it again anyway lol
I just started with cameras. Bought Panasonic, and moved to Fuji months ago. Only have 2 lenses, 16.80 f4 and 35 F1.4. I would say I only need a 50-140 f2.8 I can do pretty much anything. From vlogging, to wedding videos (paid), and above all family photography which I love above all other things. Sharpness? I go for the 16.80. Magic look one cannot describe? 35 1.4. This lens paired with acros film simulation is just so good. Not a slow focus for sure. Yes, noise is never picked up in video, unless you are delivering crazy low quality audio.
My sentiments exactly especially about the audio quality. I never for the life of me don't understand how lens chatter became a thing until I remembered non professionals were the ones who started bashing on this lens. Anyone who's using camera mic audio for paid work should be jailed.
Not pro, but was looking for first lens for 2nd hand xpro 3.
This is the video I needed to make decision between 33mm 1.4 or 35 mm 1.4 🎉
True. I sold my 35mm 1.4, years ago. Now I want to buy it gain.
Could you do a 33 F1.4 lens review? Your thoughts on it vs the 35 1.4 would be appreciated. Love your honesty. Thanks!
This is the lens that stays on my Xpro3. Looking to pick up an xpro1 now to get the holy combo of this lens and that body.
To this day I have to say that rendered some of my favorite images ever.
I picked mine up 10 years ago when Fuji offered the XPro1 along with the 35mm f1.4 and the 18mm f2 for about £900 GBP. It was absolute bargain as the 18mm f2 alone cost £300 at the time. The XPro 1 is still a great camera and i just love the simplicity when compared to my XT3.
I love this lens. I do have both the f2 and the f1.4, and there is just something about the 1.4. The reason I have both is that the 1.4 doesn’t work that well with my IR converted X-E1.
Love this lens review, no bull shit , I’m off to pick up the 35mm 1.4, I already have the 23 f2 does the 35 surpass it in your opinion cracking vid my friend I’m a knew follower keep them coming from Manchester England 👏👏👏👏👍
Teriffic, honest and down to Earth video! Just a quick one - if you were buying now, would you go for the 35 or 33? Cheers! :)
Stellar lens for sure. Beautiful bokeh, fast on the new bodies. Really nothing wrong with it. I just want WR glass.
Honestly I'm sure the 33/1.4 will be wr. I'm sure it will be sharp. I'm sure it will be snappy. I just wonder if it's going to render in its own special way or closer to the 18 and 50.
@@DeeRosa if it ever comes out, I’m probably buying it right away.
Road map for Q4 2021 or Q1 2022 which means it'll be released with the XH-2 along with the 56 1.2 MKii and 150-600 4-5.6 (I think that's the f)
Legit opinion ✌🏼
Should have watched this video and saved me some time. First got the 16 1.4 and it was excellent but was too wide for my use. Then I got the 60 2.4 and it was very good optically but too long. So I split the focal length difference and got the 35 1.4. Finally perfection. This is my goldilocks lens.
The Goldilocks lens is correct. Somehow, some way - this lens does more than enough in the simplest way possible.
Man i about to sell my M10 and get a Xpro 3 for some reason so i watched a couple of your videos. Like the way you come straight to the point :D. Have to laugh several times. Need a come which can be picked up from my wife too if they make merories with our daughter etc. Thats why i switch to autofocus again.
i hope i made a good decision. my copy is on its way. but looking at 33mm is enticing me right now lol anyways im new to fuji switching from sony. so lets see. btw great video sir. ❤
Great video again, man! Maybe that´s why Fujifim decided wisely not to "upgrade" the lens and promote it now as "the classic" or "the original"...because it´s just the way it should be! The truth is I don´t use the lens that much for weddings and prefere the trusty combo of 23mm f1,4 and 56mm f1,2 instead, but whenever I use the 35mm f1,4 I love the results. Btw, I especially like the results from it with the X-t1. That camera is not the most practical to use or particularly fast but the results are pure magic. I make a point of using this combo for some personal projets and I love it. The rendition from these two things is just perfect.
That is a perfect combo actually! It's amazing how pleasing of a sensor that was! Am I correct that was the final Bayer sensor from Fujifilm?
@@DeeRosa I don´t think so. I think it was the x-trans II.
Ahhh I see regardless love the imaging.
I agree with you on this lens. People pixel peep charts way too much instead of focusing on the subject they are trying to photograph. On a 3D subject not a 2D test chart the lens can be sharp corner to corner wide open. I can prove it. The lens has curvature and if you know the shape, then you can use it to your advantage. This is an old optical design that Fuji brought back and added an aspherical element for some additional correction.
The 50mm is probably my favourite focal length so when I switched to Fujifilm I picked up a 35mm f2. Small, weather sealed and fast autofocus and I was happy however as I moved further into my photography journey I wanted to try the 1.4 lineup and the first I picked up was the 35mm. I have now sold the f2 version and the 1.4 is probably my most used lens on the Fujfilm system. There is just something about it, autofocus is more than quick enough on my T3 and XS10 with the latest firmware installed. I know a few people who bash the lens but I don't see what their issue with it is. This is easily the second best 50mm lens I have ever used (it can't beat the Nikon Z 50mm f1.8 lens, that is just a fantastic piece of glass) and I always recommend it to any Fujifilm street shooter (well unless you want the weather sealing).
My same sentiments. It just creates appealing images and when you like it you just like it
@@DeeRosa it's funny as one of my mates who didn't get on with it asked me the last time we were out why I liked it and genuinely I had nothing but 'I just do' 😂 it just has this power to win me over.
Right I just f***ing do 😂😂😂
Finally someone has said it. Professionals don’t use autofocus and they don’t use on camera audio.
Thank you for an intelligent sober review
Totally agree.
which one focal length would you suggest primely for street photography and little hobby as filmaking , which has more quality like older films
Best lens I ever used
Agreed!
I wanted this lens for a while and this week found an amazing deal. Bought a 2nd hand 35mm for €320 ($340) while most ones would go for above 400 euro's/dollars. Only have taken like a 100 shots but I have not regreted the lens once. It is so easy to get a good looking picture. The focal length is perfect. And the 1.4 gives me just the amount of light I need to shoot handheld in the night with my xt-3. Which all my other more cheap Fuji lenses can't do at all...
One question: I heared someone say that there are newer built versions of this lens which actually feel different in terms of handling. The aperture ring 'felt more resistant' is what they say. Do you now anything about that? Not that it is gonna want me to change but just curious!
"you're an idiot...what the hell kinda question is that?" lmao.ha. love it.
Love this video as well as the first one about the 35. If you were considering the 35 f1.4 and the 56 f1.2 which would you choose for portraits? I'm asking because I recently rented the 56 1.2 to shoot some HS grad photos and was just blown away by the results. The only reason I decided to investigate other choices was the price of the 56. Does the 50 f2 compare? Thanks, have a great weekend.
I own all three and honestly I find that between 35 and 56 for portrait it all depends on how much environment you want to include, how much super shallow depth of field is important to you and also at what distance you'll take the portrait to take in account the effect of compression on the face and traits (and there, I found some people tend to benefit from compression while others less so). As for 50 Vs 56 if money is a factor go for the f2 especially if you already have the 35f1.4 and don't photograph too much in low light. The 50 is sharp, weather sealed and has fast autofocus. I found that it gives great results and the 56 more often than not stays at home because of its weight. If you already have a character lens in the 35 then maybe your 50 can be your workhorse / bring everywhere lens (also I tend to prefer the 35 and honestly it is the one living on my camera, the 50 seeing some action mostly in long walks with uncertain weather, the 56 is a wedding/ big occasions type of length)
I do have to caveat that the 1.2 wow factor is real... But who shoots at 1.2 ? 😅
@@TarzanGuadeloupe Yeah, that 56 is nice. I do use that 1.2 for portraits, but also low light situations. I shot some pics in a Hibachi restaurant for my daughter's birthday. It was pretty nice!
Great video Dee!
I want to ask for your opinion and recommendation as the same user of X-Pro 1, what would be the best lense for the camera between Fujifor X-Pro Fujifilm 35mm f1.4 or Voightlander 35mm f1.2 for fuji X ?
I am not a professional photographer, photography is my hobby and I really have so much shooting with my X-pro 1. I shoot manually, i rarely use the AF to shoot my shot (my current lense is Fujifilm 18mm f2 ) and I really curious what lense would be the better mix for my X-Pro.
Thank you so much for your video and thank you in advance if you decided to reply my comments. Looking forward to more content in 2024 (Happy new year!)
Cheerios
I’d get the XF 35 because the Voigtlander is manual focus and the X-Pro 1 doesn’t have color focus peaking which makes it harder to focus than usual on other cameras.
Hello @@DeeRosa, thank you for the quick response, it really help my decision. I think I will go with XF 35mm. Really appreciate it man
I’ve got the xf35 f2 & the mitakon 0.95 & do you think I should get the 35 1.4 ???? All I keep hearing is that the 1.4 version is just awesome 🤩
Well if you are going to lose money buying the 35/1.4 then NO. Don’t lose money if you’re happy with your lenses. It’s just GAS and it will pass. But if you want one lens that’s fast af like your 35/2 and has a fat aperture then sure I say you wouldn’t be disappointed. But don’t buy it if you’d be losing money or miss the WR.
Another wonderful benefit to the f/1.4 (though the f/2.0 also has it), put this lens on a silver X-T3 or an X-pro body and you will suddenly become invisible. People aren't threatened by your presence and instead it's more charming if anything. EVERYONE thinks you're still shooting film and they're so much more relaxed whether it's street shooting or you're doing a private shoot. People are so much more relaxed than when I pull out any of my DSLR bodies.
I can even use the fantastic 56mm f/1.2 and people don't bat an eye..lemme pull out one of the big bodies and put even a 35mm or 50mm lens on it and everyone pays attention haha.
True!
I just got this lens today. Coming from the 23mm f2 (which is my first lens), i wanted sth with a longer focal length for street, and a wider aperture for night shots. Im trying to replicate film/vintage look into my shots as well, what rating of the black pro mist filter would you recommend to use for day shots?
I'd use a 1/4 Black Pro Mist and if you're looking to replicate vintage film looks take into account there's literally nothing special or different about film except for the way the grain renders. Film and digital are completely the same. Just make sure to expose correctly. Most likely if you were to tell people that your shots were filmed without any grain ad in any way people would believe you.
@@DeeRosa thanks for the reply! And love your straight forward no frills content. Lovely shots too!
Hey Dee,
Do you use AF-C with Face Tracking for the 35mm f1.4 when recording video? I've heard concerns that it hunts a lot in AF-C.
I have no problem with manual focusing, but I enjoy relying on autofocusing when recording myself.
Yes and it does not hunt - people that say that are lying and haven't used the lens or they TRY to make it fail. Yes. I use AFC with face af. Ive used it with the xt2, xh1, xpro3 etc etc.
@@DeeRosa Hell yeah! That's just what I wanted to hear. Thanks, Dee.
Yeah put it on AF-C, set a focus point where you think your head is gonna be and that'll help the camera lock onto you easier. From there it follows really well.
“No one was able to keep track of all the stupid shit they said” 😆😆😆 love your videos man
Lol I’m glad not everyone hates me
I took your advice and gotten this lens which is my first and only one right now which I love.
And for the body, I got the XT4 which I sort of regret because it's really expensive and a little big in size. I read that photo quality will be the same compared to XT30
Yeah. Same sensor. Just different processor. Same images.
Yeah, I got mine on an X-T30 and it's perfect. Very compact and capable combo, and most of all, same results as with the X-T3 and X-T4.
EXACTLY SAME RESULTS
@@DeeRosa should’ve done my research more! 🤌🏻
Xt30 is amazing, I used both xt3 and xt4, but this small xt30 is perfect for me.
Love ye passion , say it how you find it ..🇬🇧
I would've bought this lens ages ago but I'm worried re. Weather resistance. North of Britain gets v wet and is quite often dark and gloomy. I also have a preference for very sharp images and can't always go to F8 because of the light here. I'll take another look.
Xpro3 and 35mm 1.4 are the 🐐 combo. Kinda shocked how much more I’m using it over my 56 1.2 for portraits lol
Telling you it just FEELS good ain’t it?
@@DeeRosa yeah! I had the F2 version but went ahead and got the 1.4. So glad I did. It’s actually really sharp. Seems to focus fine speed wise. Do you have an Instagram btw?
Yeah @deerosa.jpg
@@DeeRosa rip I should’ve searched your name 🥴😂
😂😂😂 all good
Kiddo 2 things, I like the look sans the Hat, you have a good head of hair, show it off 😎, and you look more professional. Second have you ever tried the Ricoh GRiii? Yourself and another channel I watch got me interested in 28mm and the GR has an 18mm on a APSC camera. I just picked up on a whim the GRiii Street Edition while I was trading in some gear I haven't used in a while. It looks interesting and I am going to have some fun shooting some street stuff
LONGRIDER YOURE BACK!!!! And I've tried the GRii and I would without a doubt recommend that camera to ANYONE.
@@DeeRosa Terrific good to hear that, yes I have been limiting my UA-cam activity and spending more time shooting, just a personal choice to de-stress and escape some of the fan boy nonsense. I like to try different as a way to expand and grow, ya know the drill new experiences and all 😉
I get you. Glad to hear from you. I thought about ya a few times.
Forgive me being somewhat of topic, but when I hear full frame is preferable for its cleaner low light capability; what never seems to be understood is that any low light benefit of full frame over apsc is completely negated by the relative apertures for the same depth of field.
There are too many variables actually - sensor calibration, MP count, how the sensor is ACTUALLY configured (x trans with the green pixel bunch actually HELPS in low light because the grain doesn't chroma) do yeah it's not a real thing. I've shot FF for anout 6 years and trust me there is no different unless you don't know what you're doing.
This is the MOAL > mother of all lenses. Fuji has built its imperium around that single lens.
I'm never letting my 35mm f1.4 go.
SOLD! lol .. finally a proper shooter with real world experience.
Not going throw away my shot!
Why would you have it autofocus when you are stationary
Sold - purchasing it second hand. Now not sure what body, XT30 or X Pro 2. You tasted bullshit. I actually like the way you delivered that and cussed out the whole wall thing and corners, never got that. Subscribed!
Agreed.
I can’t decide between this lens and the viltrox 27mm f1.2.
I’d say the Viltrox if you care for water sealing. Not much character in the Viltrox though I have to say. Just sharp
@@DeeRosa I thought I did but after seeing your videos I think you sold me on the character of the 35mm f1.4.
I’m shoot for fun and sold my cheap canon dslr for a used XT-3 because it looked way more fun ( it is ).
Heart says 35 head says 27.
I think I’ll go with my heart. It worked out well with the XT-3. 😀
Thank you for the reply. Your delivery in your videos is very refreshing. I’m working my way through them after finding your channel.
Thank you!
Hi Dee,
Nice video about "the beast"...
I really have a blast shooting with it but I often end up thinking, specially while shooting family that it's too tight. I'm renting the xf18 f2 right now, and I'm not a huge fan...the only pro compared to the 18-55 is the size. I'm considering buying the viltrox 23, have you ever tried it?
Cheers
Yeah I’ve tried the 23 from Viltrox. I like all 4 of the lenses they have out right now. I think they’re pretty good optics and build for the cash. But I will say that just make sure you get the version 2 if you own an x pro 3. Other than that I would recommend them to anyone trying to save cash or that doesn’t need weather resistance.
@@DeeRosa thx for the reply. About the 23 I was concern about the minimal focusing distance but it looks like they fixed it with firmware update and it passed from 40 to 30cm.
Have a good weekend
Sweet. Happy shooting.
Okay, you sold me when you said "I've actually tasted bullshit before"
Bought it, sold it, bought it again. Won't sell it again. Pure silk, sex and sugar. Bolted onto the X-T2 most of the time. "Just something about it..." Yes.
This lens is on my X-T3 for the longest time for street.
The X-T3 really helped it shine.
It's a good lens. Yeah I guess it'll increase your iQ in lower light did to the faster aperture. So yeah it will. But image quality is kind of a subjective idea. But I'd say buy it.
real
Sony AF do what I want more often then I managing to do it.. 😘
Cool. Put that in your portfolio.
@@DeeRosa Absolutely! :D
Man... As I'm watching your videos I can't help but get the vibe of a Modern Angry Photographer. Just slightly.
