If you do EDM you'll probably enjoy her album Reputation. 🐍 It's a no skip album. Dark grungy EDM pop songs about both revenge (first album post Kanye West/KK frame job) and love. One of my favorites! The tour is phenomenal. Unfortunately they just took it off Netflix last week but there's still videos on UA-cam.
I was at this concert with my daughter and three of her friends. When TS walked out and started the intro, the four girls were looking at each other, not knowing the song. They were really confused. I said to my daughter “just wait, I think this is going to be epic”. Looking around, lots of other fathers were smiling as well. This was an epic concert.
Yes, you're going to come out of this a Swiftie. It doesn't take much time to "get" it, especially when you watch her live. She connects intimately with the crowd, whether it's a massive stage production or just her and a guitar or piano. For the record, we've been begging for a rock album since this performance, so you're not alone in that. I probably already did, but I'm going to again -- I want to recommend Intro/Ready For It, I Did Something Bad, and Don't Blame Me from the Reputation Tour. It'll blow your mind just as much as this performance. She's so versatile and always growing as an artist.
I love this performance. Knowing that she made the original version so quintessentially pop because the guy it's about hated pop music gives this particular performance an added element. I feel like its a bit of an Elle Woods in legally blonde moment, like i imagine the guy saying incredulously... "YOU'RE performing a rock song and killing it???" and Taylor just tossing her hair and shrugging"what? like its hard?" 😂
We all (especially all the rock/metal guys who fell in love with Taylor and her music) would love a rock album from her. And if only for the fact, that we wouldn't feel so strange anymore to like her music. 🤘
I also agree that she can pull off any genre. And most of us are also wanting that rock album from her as well. Oh I wish cuz I love rock music. She grew up listening to all kinds of music. Home girl is named after James Taylor afterall, whom shes performed with as well. She also did a tv special in which her and Def Leppard took turns singing each other's songs. Another artist that her parents listened to. Taylor has dipped her feet in a few genres besides country and pop. She's done rap, r&b, edm, alt rock, indie and punk. I've noticed in her concerts that's where she tends to incorporate rock into her songs and give them a little edge to them which makes us want to have that version asap lol. I really think you should most definitely check out and listen to her discography from the beginning to her recent stuff. The growth this young lady has done both artistically and personally is amazing. Impressive. Don't be missing out my friend.
If you want to hear a more soft rock Taylor I HIGHLY recommend her performance of Wildest Dreams at the Grammy museum. I want a rock album from her so bad
We love angsty, petty, rock Taylor! Is there anything she can’t do?? There’s something like 10 instruments that she can play. She’s so gifted and diverse that makes her so rare and unique. We adore her so much. I really hope TTPD has some rock songs. I’m really hoping for them. Loved your reaction. Subscribed. The slo-mo on the editing makes it even more impressive. 🙏🏻👏🏻🫶🏼
Speak Now has an indie rock feel to some songs. On the 1989 tour, she re-arranged the 3 songs she did with Max Martin and Shellback from Red into rock versions. fwiw, Max Martin and Shellback were co- producers for most of the 1989, and half the Reputation albums. Speak Now was entirely Taylor, no co-writes on the original album (one of the later deluxe tracks had a co-writer). Her first producer (Nathan Chapman) did most of the lifting for the first 4 albums.
Swifties all want a rock album as well! Great reaction. ❤ You should watch a live Vigilante sh$t from the Eras Tour live It is seductive. So many songs to recommend.
Taylor plays piano, acoustic and electric guitars, ukulele and banjo (6 string). She learned on a 12 string, if you go back and find videos of her at 13 or so. She was asked if she'd learn other instruments (woodwinds, etc.) and she said she plays in order to accompany herself ---- or, no, she won't be shredding. She is a damn good rhythm guitarist.
Please react to “I knew you were trouble” from the 1989 tour (same tour as this performance) and I really think you would love the reputation album / Reputation stadium tour
Hello. Enjoyed your reaction. If you enjoyed this performance, I recommend the following three from the Reputation Tour (even if you don’t react to them): Intro/Ready For It I Did Something Bad Don’t Blame Me All three are great but, if you were going to do just one, I’d say go with Don’t Blame Me. Epic. Enjoy!
Awesome performance! By the way, her album Red has some fine rock songs. Try State of Grace, Red, Holy Ground, Starlight. e.g. Holy Ground live: ua-cam.com/video/hs_nRiTxrvU/v-deo.html
Taylor can play:
- Acoustic six-string guitar
- Acoustic twelve-string guitar
- Electric guitar
- Banjo
- Ukulele
- Piano
Right. She is also involved in the production of her songs, besides singing and songwriting.
And directing videos

Yes! And then Midnights...

Please check out the Reputation Stadium Tour. Start with the first song: "Are you ready for this." And then keep going from there. 😀
*Ready For It
Join the club lol we ALL want more badass/rockin’ Taylor. We’ve been waiting since we heard Better Than Revenge back in 2010 lol.
Great reaction! I really enjoyed it! I hope you do a lot more Taylor reactions!
React to “Don’t Blame / What you Made me Do” from her Eras Tour Movie. I think you’ll love it

I think you’ll really enjoy Wildest Dreams the Grammy Museum. Just her, this electric guitar, and a small crowd.

If you see the pop videos of this song you would be amazed to see the difference. No meed to review it. Just a glance.
Please react to “I knew you were trouble” from the 1989 tour (same tour as this performance) and I really think you would love the reputation album / Reputation stadium tour

She has a little bit for everyone if you really think about it.
Speak Now has some Rock songs. But yeah Taylor can do 5 genres.
You want to see some amazing stuff watch anything from live version of Reputation tour. Especially the opening. 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍
You need to do "I knew you were trouble" from the 1989 Tour and the Reputation album
