Hi. My friends forced me to watch the live action one piece with them back at the end of September. I want to be clear I'm 30 years old one piece was on fox kids, genx, and toonami when I was a kid. The fact it was still going to this day blew my mind and I thought it was another stupid Naruto or dragon ball z that refused to just let itself end. I'm not an anime watcher, at all. At the beginning of October, like the 4th, I began watching one piece, the redub with 4kids nasty hands off of it. This week I am now completely caught up in the show, the official airing not one pace. I sat through every stretch of silence, flashback, everything. I'm glad I skipped the 4kids dub but at the same time I missed out on growing up with something that inspired avatar, a show my family loves to death. For 2.5 months my life was just one piece. I'm still in shock of just how much this show actually contains, being an anarchist this show is really something special and I can feel the love and care in every single detail. Those 2.5 months were well spent. I've been suckered in. I can't get out.
Holy shit, you did such a great job in this video, you don’t know how many videos I’ve seen that try to get you into one piece but spoils all the series, Ive bern trying to find a video to send to my friends so they can understand my addiction and I think this is it. Great vid that spoils almost nothing.
I appreciate it! That was my goal with the video, I have a bunch of friends who haven't seen One Piece and I didn't want to spoil. My intention was to articulate what was good about the series and give little bits of content to look forward to.
Small channel, I didn’t notice it throughout the entire video. I believe this is one of the biggest compliment in the current UA-cam meta. Keep up, you gained a sub, looking forward to watch more :)
@@jpraise6771 Don't get me wrong, it has dark stuff but it definitely has a lot of goofy stuff as well. That's what makes one piece what it is, it's not a bad thing for it to be goofy at all. It's just that most animated shows that are successful are usually filled with death and gore and more mature stuff becausethats what people like in a story. But the fact that oda didn't kept it entirely mature and still made it successful should be an acknowledgement to how great of a story teller he is.
I decided to read one piece roughly a year ago after seeing all the hype going around the anime-adaptation of Gear 5. I'm currently at the start of Egg-head island and starting OP has been one of the best decisions I've ever made! Definitely in my top 5 manga for sure.
That remake was so out of left field but it's so gas. Like Wit did their thang on Aot, Vinland, and Spy x Family. This remake could be a massive gateway for newcomers. ONE PIECE FANS EATING THE WHOLE RESTAURANT RN.
One piece initially deterred me, not because you the enormous episode count but the animation wasn’t my thing. Then I watched episode 1 and was like “hey this is pretty decent.” Then as I hit ep 100+ I found myself so invested that I couldn’t stop. Also my favorite character (some might say he sucks) is ussop. Through the series you see him grow and become strong (while still being the lovable coward he is.) I am not so invested in this beautiful world and its quirky people.
i got into one piece few years back after finished watching fairy tail, hunter x hunter , FMAB, Bleach , Dbz , naruto every time i see a anime game or website, there will always be luffy on top xd i know he stretch from games but dunno whats so great about this anime , because its compared to my other favs eventually out of boredom started watch it , now its #1 fav anime , above attack on titan xd
I recently caught up with the anime and manga since last year December 31st, 2023. Started August 5th, 2023 and it took approximately 4 months. I laughed, cried, got angry and etc. It's such an amazing journey despite its flaws. Totally worth it! Can't wait to see the ending of One Piece. It's going to be a bittersweet day for fans worldwide. P.S: Right now I'm currently at EggHead arc. Both anime and manga.
gawd daym. ur a good creator, u got the sense of humor, energy and u really explained what makes one piece so great, i honestly dont understand how u only have 500 subs, youve earned another one, keep up the amazing work.
Water 7 and Enies lobby was when I truly understood how good Oda is at writing. Like the emotions were at a new high there. You got a lot more to look forward to!
I've kept a list of people that I managed to convince to watch One Piece across the last almost 20 years, out of probably thousands at this point, I've convinced 19 people to watch it. Out of those 19, 2 of them ignored my suggestion to watch Sub and not Dub, even if you prefer Dub usually. Out of the 17 that did, 16 of them told me it's their #1 Favorite show of All time, and out of those 16, 13 of them told me when they got around to episode 300'ish. The 17th person, had it in their top 3 Out of the two people who watched the dub (Without telling me beforehand that they'd watch the Dub), one had it in their top 15, the other dropped it before finishing Alabasta, and did not at all believe me when I said that them watching the Dub is the main reason for them wanting to drop it 🗿 So in terms of percentage, out of the people who Actually not only were convinced, but Listened to my suggestion of Sub and not Dub for One Piece, around 84% believes it to be the best of all time and 5% believes it to be one Of the Best of all time. (The Dub is exceptionally horrible, kind of the opposite of Dragon Balls dub, and no, I'm not talking about 4Kids, I'm talking about the current Ongoing official dub)
I think the biggest thing is HOW good the sub is too. I'd say the dub is pretty mid, def heard worse lmao - I think a few dub voices are solid. But with the sub omg, they just fit everyone SO WELL. All the straw hats feel more alive in sub, at least to me. Also shout out Laws VA Hiroshi Kamiya, just an ICON. Bro is literally in so many of my favourite shows. And hey anyone who does like the dub fair enough lol. But also getting that many ppl to watch one piece!?? You the real mvp even tho it took a lil while lmao! Outta my friends I got like 2 to watch it.
My man, I respect the effort you went through to convincing people to try One Piece. I, too, wish to have the success you have. And with the success of the live action series as well as the insane reveal of a remake of the first arcs? This may be our time to shine to get more people on board the One Piece train.
My wife can’t watch the sub, reading while watching just doesn’t work for her. I got her into One Piece through the dub and she absolutely loves it. We binge the 12 episode dub drops as soon as they release. The sub is absolutely better but the dub is fine.
Personally I enjoyed the dub, it was better than I thought it'd be. Some lines conveyed even better in dub than the sub. Hell no would I be able to marathon the 500 episodes I did in the last 1.5 months in sub, because I'd have to be reading every subtitle. Don't get me wrong, the sub is great. I do replay certain scenes in both sub and dub to enjoy them a second time. But that's also helped me appreciate the dub as well. To each their own, of course.
It's super hard for some people to read and pay attention to what's happening on the screen at the same time. I mean, I get it - it's not even a preference thing, but objectively a problem for those that can't do it, so I generally let it go. That said, the Japanese voice cast is just iconic. You are _not_ going to get the same kind of emotion from the dub cast, regardless of their talent. So I will always encourage people to watch it subbed if they can. But I'm not going to jump down their throats if they watch the dub instead, just express my disappointment.
Although for many it took really long to get through one piece I got done in the matter of a few months since I was reading a volume a day. My life has heavily changed now understanding how the funny rubber man is now an even funnier rubber man then I thought.
@@dindoesstuff Yeah me and my brother were bored over the summer and we just decided, ye let's do one piece it looks cool and it has been 6 months and I'm now in Wano.

Yeah something rlly comforting about watching One Piece in bulk. But I do love the connection to the community while being caught up. Haven't watched Black Clover yet, but I've heard some solid things from friends.
to your point about only ten percent being filler because that’s how much are filler episodes is kinda misjudged as the reason people complain about filler in one piece is when later on in the show they needed to lengthen episodes so they did t catch up to the source material. so much of the filler in one piece is hard to skip as it just fluff they add to episodes so of it can be worthwhile some of it can be a drag
Agreed a lot of episodes can really drag. I think thats rlly where One Pace and the manga thrive. I was able to overlook it at times going the first time going through cause I was just like "hehe zoro", but fr I hope that wit remake picks up the pace.
One piece really is peak. I started watching one piece back in June of this year but I wanted to start it in April. Unfortunately I did not have a lot of time. But when June came and my school ended, I immediately started one piece and damn... what a great ride it is. I even got my friend to watch it. Rn I am at sabaody archipelago arc. One piece as a whole is an amazing story with amazing characters and great stories. I am saying all this and I still have 700 episodes to watch. And for people who say that the animation qt the start is old and you don't like it, wit studio will remake the east blue saga aka the beginning. This is the best time to start watching one piece with the remake, the live action and the continuation of the anime/manga. That's all :3 ✌️
Congrats on getting ur friend to watch it lol - u gots a lot left to look forward to! It really is in the perfect spot rn. I think prolly one of the main turnoffs for ppl tryna watch One Piece is the pacing. If the remake can fully improve the pacing it may become the DEFINITIVE way to consume it.
Once more, we have another newcomer who has seen the light and now shall spread the gospel of this series. or in other words "yeah, that's great and all, but have you watched One Piece yet?" Welcome to the crew

Yeah, it's a really warm community - WE JUST REALLY WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW. I think it's especially because of how much we took away from the series, like tryna spread the love.
For me personally, the only similar looking woman in One Piece is only Nami-Vivi-Rebecca (maybe makino/kaya too), the rest as pretty different. I can recognize the others just fine, for example: Robin, perona, koala, bonney, carrot, bigmom, lola, kiku, the kunoichi(ninja girl), reiju, stussy, califa, doctorine, hina, tashigi, baby5, hancock, shakky, pudding and many more. Like it's not confusing. I don't even confused with nami-vivi-rebecca either, they did similar but still easy to recognized~ But that's me tho
Thx I appreciate you lol. You right tho it's not too difficult to discern, it is a lil worse in the manga to start tho. I think it's just the general anatomy that is VERY similar, rather than the faces.
I laughed at the "Watch time from subscribers" card just being shoved in a corner for a couple of frames because I'm so used to youtubers throwing it in my face constantly
It was also recently announced that Wit Studio and Netflix are giving one piece the Hunter x hunter treatment and remaking the entire series from scratch to give the series better pacing so normies won't have the "it's t00 l0ng" excuse anymore.
9:00 The side characters, who only appear every few hundred episodes are even better. Especially before they got a backstory. Whitebeard. Roger. Doflamingo. Kuma. Oden? The admirals. The five elders. Imu.
I usually only watch Shoujo and Romance stuff. And I always so annoyed at dudes at parties telling me 3 hours of One Piece lore but now, after starting it and watching 400 episodes this year, I am that person with a Zoro phone background.. and I’m not sorry.
Gréât video. One Piece is a masterpiece I swear more People Will watch it With the live action and the remake. Cause my Sisters told me "dont like the animation". I mean that's thé greatest piece of fiction ever....

It's something about the series that's just so comforting. Fr, we are all sucked in at this point lmao, but ig we got more to look forward to.
Anyone after reading the lastest manga ch 1102 ?
Kuma backstory needs to be added in the hall of fame tbh
kuma a real one.
“Its worth it”doesnt cut it. It should be its super fucking totally worth it 1000000 times
Golden Era of One Piece 🏴☠️
we are eating soo good rn
Small channel, I didn’t notice it throughout the entire video. I believe this is one of the biggest compliment in the current UA-cam meta. Keep up, you gained a sub, looking forward to watch more :)
Thank you for the support, I appreciate it! I'm gonna keep doing my best with each vid!
I watched every single episode including filler and bro its fucking worth it, i already wanna rewatch it
One piece is the most goofiest show. Yet it has become more popular than most shows that arent. Thats how you know the creator is a legend.
One of the most sold comics of all time only behind superman btw.
Outside of G5, it's really not THAT goofy man. It commonly explores very dark themes, although not as in your face as a seinen like berserk.
I love they way you use different voices in your videos, it’s very entertaining
Glad you enjoyed them! They a lil bit goofy lol.
I watched it on Monday and watched 138 episodes in one week it’s so good
I decided to read one piece roughly a year ago after seeing all the hype going around the anime-adaptation of Gear 5. I'm currently at the start of Egg-head island and starting OP has been one of the best decisions I've ever made! Definitely in my top 5 manga for sure.
Algorithm got me here..Never been a better time to be a OnePiece fan..the stretch of the Marathon to the finale. And then..a Remake✅
Apologies for the typos my phones auto correct is so finicky
This is a certified can’t-go-the-island-itis moment!
The illness is actin up again...
i got into one piece few years back
after finished watching fairy tail, hunter x hunter , FMAB, Bleach , Dbz , naruto
every time i see a anime game or website, there will always be luffy on top xd
i know he stretch from games but dunno whats so great about this anime , because its compared to my other favs
eventually out of boredom started watch it , now its #1 fav anime , above attack on titan xd
The series deserves its praise.
Been along for the journey since 2004. Excited and scare for it to be over some day
I started this when my friend told me to watch it and i said it was weird and long but uh now after i tried it im huge fan
Oda made me cry in the past weeks
I recently caught up with the anime and manga since last year December 31st, 2023. Started August 5th, 2023 and it took approximately 4 months. I laughed, cried, got angry and etc. It's such an amazing journey despite its flaws. Totally worth it!
Can't wait to see the ending of One Piece. It's going to be a bittersweet day for fans worldwide.
P.S: Right now I'm currently at EggHead arc. Both anime and manga.
Egghead SOO GOOD rn!
@@dindoesstuff I know right!?
Ironically in One piece a filler arc is also pretty iconic... Con D Oriano....
PEAK PIECE
Bro is speaking fax🔥🔥
it's getting even more crazy in the manga rn, boutta be PEAK PEAK.
When the remake comes out that will be the greatest piece of anime and show ever produced. If they do it well though .
Wit always pumps out heat, so we hype fr
gawd daym. ur a good creator, u got the sense of humor, energy and u really explained what makes one piece so great, i honestly dont understand how u only have 500 subs, youve earned another one, keep up the amazing work.
Thank you, I appreciate ur support sm. I'm gonna keep working at it one step at a time!
One Piece was the Last of the Big3 I wanted to Start. Now its the only Anime I never want end.
Very well done video!! I just got into one piece a couple months ago and I’m only at water 7 so far, and god do I love this show
Water 7 and Enies lobby was when I truly understood how good Oda is at writing. Like the emotions were at a new high there. You got a lot more to look forward to!
You are in for a ride. Water 7 until the end of the first “half” of the series is in my opinion the greatest stretch of storytelling in manga.
i will just say you have a tearful road ahead.
It makes me really happy to hear I still have a lot to look forward to… and cry about
Water 7 already had me tearful about you know what :’(
@@spoookd the next few arcs are going to have you in shambles but i can't wait for you to experience em for yourself.
Any DBZ or Naruto fan has easily watched a thousand episodes, they shouldn't complain
Fr. Fans of long battle shonen know the deal lmao - always worth it in the end.
The most rewarding show I've ever seen in my whole life
I've kept a list of people that I managed to convince to watch One Piece across the last almost 20 years, out of probably thousands at this point, I've convinced 19 people to watch it.
The 17th person, had it in their top 3
Out of the two people who watched the dub (Without telling me beforehand that they'd watch the Dub), one had it in their top 15, the other dropped it before finishing Alabasta, and did not at all believe me when I said that them watching the Dub is the main reason for them wanting to drop it 🗿
So in terms of percentage, out of the people who Actually not only were convinced, but Listened to my suggestion of Sub and not Dub for One Piece, around 84% believes it to be the best of all time and 5% believes it to be one Of the Best of all time.
But I'm not going to jump down their throats if they watch the dub instead, just express my disappointment.
we got em welcome to the best fanbase and peak fiction
got me completely, now we in deep - no regrets!
@@dindoesstuff now join us in spreading the gospel of one piece
consider it done... ONEEE PEAAAAKKKKKKK
Youre preaching to the choir with me atleast, love one piece so much ima watch the video you explaing why i should love it
Bro, brooks backstory is one of the most harrowing and sad.
Although for many it took really long to get through one piece I got done in the matter of a few months since I was reading a volume a day. My life has heavily changed now understanding how the funny rubber man is now an even funnier rubber man then I thought.
Bro took funny rubber man to a whole new level.
was begging my friend to watch one piece for weeks he kept saying no but until he tried it he became addicted 😂
There's always that period of refusing to watch it, then getting sucked in by it.

I caught up with one piece around June after watching for a year
i caught up with anime last month, and the manga like 2 weeks ago - it's just so damn good
With the announcement of The One Piece remake with Wit studio ooooeeee
I feel like The One Piece gonna be a game changer for getting ppl into it.
I was in the edge of tears like 3 times while watching.
That was very entertaining to watch! Good vid editing, chill voice and goofy jokes. That's the content I'm always looking for!
Thank you sm for this video, that was very wholesome and give me some holiday spirit!
Maan, I'm always getting sentimental when hear someone talking about OP like THAT.
Big love and Happy New Year, man!!!

Thank you so much - I appreciate the love! My goal is to try to make ppl smile and have a good with my vids, so I'm glad you enjoyed. Happy New Year to you too!
Fr One Piece is Peak asf. I kind of miss watching episodes back to back. Now I have to wait every Sunday. Now Currently watching Black Clover.
Yeah something rlly comforting about watching One Piece in bulk. But I do love the connection to the community while being caught up. Haven't watched Black Clover yet, but I've heard some solid things from friends.
ok can we just give props to this man for going through all his comments and liking all of them
Appreciate you. I try my best lol.
hey man good luck on your short film and happy new year
thank you I appreciate it, happy new year to you too!
to your point about only ten percent being filler because that’s how much are filler episodes is kinda misjudged as the reason people complain about filler in one piece is when later on in the show they needed to lengthen episodes so they did t catch up to the source material. so much of the filler in one piece is hard to skip as it just fluff they add to episodes so of it can be worthwhile some of it can be a drag
Agreed a lot of episodes can really drag. I think thats rlly where One Pace and the manga thrive. I was able to overlook it at times going the first time going through cause I was just like "hehe zoro", but fr I hope that wit remake picks up the pace.
Which is why I always try to make the distinction between filler and padding.
Well said big guy!! 🙌
appreciate you 🔥
One piece really is peak.
I've been reading the manga since 99 and watched the anime since early 2000s
a real og
Honestly a way that I think about luffy after catching up to the manga is that luffy is a living representation of freedom
Once more, we have another newcomer who has seen the light and now shall spread the gospel of this series. or in other words "yeah, that's great and all, but have you watched One Piece yet?" Welcome to the crew
I’ve watched it all three times lol. Get on my level people

It's called The Fight Continues. Love this one whenever Shanks makes an appearance.
used to be the same person I can’t watch one piece because it’s 1000 episodes and now I’m 500 episodes in and going strong
YES! You've got a lot of good ahead of you. At times it'll drag but the payoff is so worth.
I’m a long time fan for 20 years… and I agree when people say our fandom is like a cult… cuz It’s like friendly type of cult 😂😂😂 we want people to know how good this series is. I always tell my friends to watch this series before…
Yeah, it's a really warm community - WE JUST REALLY WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW. I think it's especially because of how much we took away from the series, like tryna spread the love.
It’s so good
Wait wait wait hold up. so you're telling me that the flash can make a lightsaber?
Better world building than the bible. Fuck, got me good 😂😂😂
For me personally, the only similar looking woman in One Piece is only Nami-Vivi-Rebecca (maybe makino/kaya too), the rest as pretty different. I can recognize the others just fine, for example:
Robin, perona, koala, bonney, carrot, bigmom, lola, kiku, the kunoichi(ninja girl), reiju, stussy, califa, doctorine, hina, tashigi, baby5, hancock, shakky, pudding and many more. Like it's not confusing. I don't even confused with nami-vivi-rebecca either, they did similar but still easy to recognized~
But that's me tho
Ah btw, I enjoy your video a lot! Thanks!!
Thx I appreciate you lol. You right tho it's not too difficult to discern, it is a lil worse in the manga to start tho. I think it's just the general anatomy that is VERY similar, rather than the faces.
That's fax one piece is peak
Oda is one of the goats

It was also recently announced that Wit Studio and Netflix are giving one piece the Hunter x hunter treatment and remaking the entire series from scratch to give the series better pacing so normies won't have the "it's t00 l0ng" excuse anymore.
