He should be declared a National Treasure. What a treat it would be to know or to even see him. I couldn't even imagine what it would be like to own one of his instruments.
I'm going to the Galax Fiddle Convention this year and hope to see Wayne. He's a great person and friend. The best part about going through the process of waiting for him to build me a guitar was all of the phone calls and becomming his friend. I'll cherish that as much as the guitar.
Great video. Thanks to Wayne Henderson for such a life time achievement. Number 7.... I've been to Galax and Clifftop 3 times. You better get there ,too.
I really hate to see the Wayne Henderson festival come to an end. I have attended three of these festivals in the past; the competition is always great and the acts superb. Each year he auctions off one of his guitars. I tried three times to win one and failed. The money raised goes to perpetuate folk music in the area.
His guitar sounds beautiful! I love the stories too. We had an old fella in our little Indiana town who was an instrument maker too. It was an honor to play his instruments and hear his stories!

Mr.Henderson is rural Virginia’s true ambassador. Such a great dude.
Wayne is my favorite, person, picker, and guitar builder, There's not a nicer man on the planet than Wayne Henderson!
Thank you for doing this. Wayne is a legend and his playing is incredible

That guitar sounds great and it looks like it has been played more than a little.
