Ive enjoyed the Clifton since V6, but it was too soft to move quickly. With the new midsole in V9, im really excited to give them a whirl. Keep pushing, Chris!
I had been training in Saucony's for the last 2 years but recently bought the New balance Supercomp trainer V2's and the New Balance SC elite V3. Also picked up the New Balance SC Pacer for track work. I've been running in just those 3 pair of shoes over the past 3 weeks and the Trainer has got to be the best one I've ever ran in.
It’s amazing when you find that brand that just works
Welcome back Chris, congrats on the job 🎉
Thanks 👊
Great to hear the shoe is working for you and you're getting out there 🏃🏼♂️ 👍🏻
Great to be back. I hope all is good with you Steven
@@ThatRunningGuy Yes good thanks! I've got a half in September coming off the back of 5k training, so building up the mileage!
I have used Clifton for several years now for easy and long runs. Lightweight and comfy. Enjoy your races!
Thanks Kathy. Wish I’d found Hoka sooner
I’m on my first pair of hokas ( Clifton 9 ) after six years Nike, and I’m very pleased 😃 currently looking at hoka rocket x 2 for upcoming half’s and a full marathon 👍
👍 I’ve heard great things about the rocket x2’s. I just can’t justify the price tag
@@ThatRunningGuy completely agree. I’m holding off until January, hopefully there will be a sale 🤞
The West Sussex Fun Run League is great! I run them regularly with my club, hopefully see you at a league race soon!
Are you running on Wednesday evening? If so, please come and say hi
@@ThatRunningGuy I haven’t signed up too it, but I have thought of doing a late entry. I sprained my ankle a few weeks back and wanted to see how that felt before signing up
@@Gez-C 🤞 your ankle is ok
I'm coming back from achilles injury too, not the easiest injury for runners to get back to normal from. Would like to hear how you rehab to running again. 👍
Rehab: just heel raises on the stairs. 3x10 2-3 per day. 🤞 you’re back running soon
I've been a Clifton girl since the 5!! Maybe it's us older and/or slower runners who really love them the most? They are the only shoe that has never once aggravated my metatarsalgia!! They just go and go and go and never let me down, a true reliable staple that I can't do without, AND extremely long wearing too... I've taken all my Cliftons to over 1500km, though they get relegated to runs of less than 18km and the treadmill after about 700-750km. No question the 9 is definitely the best one yet, more lively than the previous versions I would say!!
Just got delivered the Hoka Rocket X delivered from sportsshoes.com for only £67.49 😍
@@ThatRunningGuy Bargain!!! Again the v2 is definitely better but for that price , WELL worth it!!! Curious to see how you get along with it!!
@@bev9708 🤞
Good luck Wednesday!! Don’t give up 💪🏼👏🏻👍
Cheers David 👊
Thanks Chris ya am not rich so this shoe sounds great for the price
Shoes are getting way to expensive!
Old Hoka Rocket x £140, New Rocket x2 £220 🤷♂️
@@ThatRunningGuy and not everyone is bill gates
@@ThatRunningGuywould the rocket x2 be up there with the speed of vaporlys or metaspeed sky's??
@@na-dk9vm probably…well it needs to be at that price
I’m a long time Hoka fan but it’s tough to go back to EVA after running in PEBA/supercritical/ newer foams. Having said that, the Rocket X2 is amazing. For road running the Prime X is my new “Hoka”. It’s SO much better it’s like a new sport. I hope Hoka integrates modern foams into their trainers soon.
Thanks for your feedback 👍
I’ve had the 7’s & currently have the Clifton 8. My daily trainer is the Hoka Mach 4. Would say the Clifton 9 has changed drastically?
Sorry never worn the 7’s
@@ThatRunningGuy Do u like the 9’s over the 8’s?
@@felixbruno7937 sorry misread the question, I’ve only ever owned the 9’s
I can’t see past the Clifton, I’m on my 4th pair of Clifton 8’s and never had any problem with them. Average about 350 miles a pair which I find good being a heavier runner. Run two marathons this year wearing them and we’re great.
As they says ‘don’t fix it if it’s not broken’. Thanks for your feedback
The Clifton is a great shoe.
Wish I’d worn Hoka sooner
Can someone please compare Vapour Fly 3's and Hoka Clifton 9? Thanks
Totally different shoes. Vaporflys are all our speed / races with a carbon plate, clifton 9 is for easy runs
Thank you!
