Thanks for the sharing. Greatly appreciate it. My first time watching the full changing of Istana guard event. They made me proud. Wah... Hari Raya song being played coincide with the ongoing festival 👏😊.
I was based in Provost Unit during my NS days and witnessed those MPs training under the hot sun for hours just to perfect those tricks! Let me tell you its a tough life! Kudos to them and no shame dropping your rifle cause life is never smooth sailing
wow this is dam dam cool! the band and band commander, the MPs, the guards.... i didnt even know despite my 30 plus years here! .... DAM cool man. respect to them

Last time, they always ask how a Provost unit can help maintain Singapore's domestic sovereignty. This is how, with racial harmony. Imagine if they keep it up and do it for every ethnic group depending on the next nearest majority celebration in the calendar.
Anyways The Normal Commando Guard Of Honor Contingents Had Had Bayonets Attached To Their SAR 21 Assault Rifles. Why Did The Military Police Had No Bayonets On Their Lee-Enfield Rifles?
@@VicariousWalker If it was like Buck Palace though, they would be 2 bands to escort the Old and New Guards, and the Old Guard would leave the premise by doing the honourary slow march. Sorry man just nitpicking...
But Wait, I Know That The Lee-Enfield Rifle Was Used By The British During WW1, But Were They Used During WW2 During The Japanese Invasion Of Singapore, And Either Else, How Did The Singaporean Military Police Get Those Lee-Enfield Rifles? Kind Of Curious.
Those people in civilian clothes walking besides the ceremonial soldiers should be more discreet and not walking so close. A total distraction to an otherwise fine performance.
not the first time actually.. my platoon actually had that song back in 2009 COG 😁

Selamat, aidilfitri
Kepada saudara serta saudari
Setahun, hanya sekali
Merayakan hari yang mulia ini
Di masa, bulan Ramdan
Kita berpuasa hingga sebulan
Pabila, Syawal menjelma
Hari raya disambut dengan gembira
Miskin kaya memakai baju baru warna-warni
Mengunjungi sanak kaum famili
Sungguh hebat pemandangan di hari raya ini
Tua muda wajah berseri-seri
Marilah, bergembira
Bersama menikmati hari raya
Mintak mak, kuih sepotong
Saya mahu makan kerna perut kosong
Maafkanlah jika ada terlanjur perkataan
Diharap supaya jangan disimpan
Kuberdoa selamat panjang umur murah rezeki
Semoga Tuhan akan memberkati
Selamat, hari raya
Hari untuk kita bersuka ria
Selamat, kami ucapkan
Untuk kita hingga sampai tahun depan
SELAMAT HARI RAYA!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for watching!
This is the first time I've seen changing of the guard play a MALAY HARI RAYA song..
Thanks for watching!
Do u know the name of this song pls? ❤
The title of the song is "Selamat Hari Raya"
Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir Dan Batin
Iconic Hari Raya song since mid 60s.

@@VicariousWalker thank you 🥰👍
Salam dari pada Indonesia
Thank you my Indonesian friend
hello, thanks for the video! Can I ask what time does it start? Would like to go and experience this tradition in person.
The ceremony is on the first Sunday of every month at 6pm.
So be early by 5:15pm should be ok
Anyways The Normal Commando Guard Of Honor Contingents Had Had Bayonets Attached To Their SAR 21 Assault Rifles. Why Did The Military Police Had No Bayonets On Their Lee-Enfield Rifles?
They will perform their Rifle Precision Drills with the 4kg rifle. Go figure...
they played Hari Raya song.. 😁😀
It's an appropriate music for the month isn't it! :)
Yes!
The Singaporean Military Police Put On Sunglasses Shades For Them To Look Serious Lol
they are escorted by the APO from APF, MPO from the SAF and SPO from the SPF
Thanks for the info!
Nice marching band.
Thanks for watching!
Very orderly ceremony
Thanks for walking with me!
What is brad goh doing at 36:33 ??
I will do you better, Why is brad goh?
Just like the Changing the Guard in Windsor castle!
Liked how the Drum major did the State Walk drill with his mace!
I would assume that both are very similar.
Officially, the Istana website says that the ceremony is based on the Buckingham Palace ceremony.
We need horses in SAF.😂

@@quikslvr69 Like Malaysia! They have the Royal Armoured Corps, and they have links with the UK's Light Dragoons.
The police play-play with their rifle .. are they Gurkha ? Not local police ?
They are Military Police - Silent Drill Squad
Anyways Whats That Rifle The Military Police Are Holding? Looks Like An M1 Garand
From online sources, it appears to be the Lee-Enfield Mk IV
But Wait, I Know That The Lee-Enfield Rifle Was Used By The British During WW1, But Were They Used During WW2 During The Japanese Invasion Of Singapore, And Either Else, How Did The Singaporean Military Police Get Those Lee-Enfield Rifles? Kind Of Curious.
