    I like the little partial lower border and how it fades out on the ends. Never seen that before.

    I just stumbled onto your channel. I am getting into leather and find the little knife sheath a nice small project.

    I missed the live version. Your tutorials are very good. I wish your deluxe beginner kit had been available when I started tooling about a year ago. I would have saved money and had less frustration starting out.

    That pattern would work well on the "ends" of a tooled purse as long as it matched the style of the side tooling. It would also work well on a lateral knife sheath. Or belt pouch for a tape measure or other DC items. Cheek straps or blinders on a bridle? Great pattern. I really like the way you present the way you're working and showing how each tool can be used.

    Thank you,

    mat back grounder

    Hi Joe just a quick question. On the background areas that you would use a bar grounder on, do you use the bar grounder over the area that has been beveled, right up to the cut, effectively going over the bevel or do you only go to the edge of the bevel. Hope that makes sense

    Why the clear tape on the back?

    • @thomaskolar8395
      @thomaskolar8395 6 місяців тому

      it keeps the leather from stretching when you are tooling it. you can use packing tape, or masking tape.

    Is there a reason most leather is floral in nature?

    • @thomaskolar8395
      @thomaskolar8395 6 місяців тому

      floral is the traditional western style. you can make any pattern you like. i use flames for a lot of my firefighter radio straps.
