Thank you for sharing! Your video is very helpful. Did you take a train from Milan to Lake Como then the bus to Bellagio, or bus straight to Bellagio? How long did it take? I'm planning the same trip from Milan to Lake Como in May but don't know which transportation is best and faster. Should I stay in Nesso and take day trip to Bellagio since Nesso close to Como train station? Thanks so much!
Hey JK D! We took a train from Milan to Varenna. Then we took a ferry from Varenna to Bellagio and stayed in Bellagio. The train from Milan to Varenna is 1.5 hours and the ferry from Varenna to Bellagio is about 30-45 minutes. We didn't actually visit Como city we just stayed in Bellagio. I would highly recommend staying in Bellagio, there are so many villas to see and it's a beautiful town. Here is the website to the ferry timetable: www.navigazionelaghi.it/risultati?lake=Como
I’m also heading to Como in May from Milan. Was it pretty easy to book boat tour and others? Or is there a site to book in advance? Thank you for any insight
