- Hey Yamaha fans, I purchased this ski on Feburary 12th 2023. It is now October 31 2023. I have just about hit 150 hours. Great summer. This is a little review since I have spent some time with the ski. any other questions please leave a comment! Hit the Like and subscribe! thanks guys
yamaha came out with a firmware update to fix the fuel level issue. don't know about the other issues. i sure am glad my '15 fx ho cruiser does not have all that fancy crap to go bad..lol.
I traded it in for a 2024. Same fuel level issue. Same bluetooth issue. Connext is screen is slightly different. Hull seems different. Other than that the same.
@@chikkicarolina15 take it to dealer, they will fix it at no cost. hull is fiberglass now.
It still has gas in it because that is your safety reserve. That is most important for any kind of motorized vehicle That uses fuel injection it probably explains everything in your owners manual if you would read it
When i am showing empty there is roughly 7 gallons left on an 18gal tank. I still own my 2008 sho which is pretty much the same setup 1.8 super charged 18gal. When the low fuel alarm comes on the fuel gauge is down to 2 bars. That means you had 7 miles give or take. Both 2016s and a 2017 svho i owned in the past were the same as the 2008. I do not know why they changed it. I personally like accuracy in my fuel gauge. I just traded in the 2023 for a 2024 fx cruiser and it is the same. I take many long trips and it makes me second guess its distance capability. The bluetooth is already starting to fail as well. I really do not like the connext operation system for various reasons. The Bluetooth on my 2022 svho cruiser did the same as your. I went into my settings and did a factory reset and that fix my Bluetooth connection problem. Please try that before you take it to the dealership and let me know if it
fits your problem. Thanks
I did that twice. Did not work after either times. I have a 3 year warranty so i am wondering if it needs a reflash or update?
If you keep doing the factory reset eventually it should work. Also the reason why your speakers and ski cut off is cause if the speakers are playing and the ski is not running it will kill your battery. Safety feature so you will be able to start the ski.. My advice is to take a jbl speakers with you and put it in your front storage. This way you can listen to music when the engine is not running.
