The triggernometry comments on youtube are refreshingly full of ppl outright referring to him as a guy/bloke/man and are very negative and highlight his past.
I knew nothing of him before and initially in the trig interview I thought he vaguely said some obvious things and then as the interview went on he became worse and worse and sounded like a fantasist with delusions of grandeur. By 3/4 of the way in I couldn't listen anymore because the hypocrisy was too strong and when I learnt a little more about him it became even worse. This interview was very helpful for filling in the blanks. (Edit: in case it's not clear I mean the interview on this channel not the trig one)
It's worrying how many trans identified males control the internet and therefore what ppl think is the truth.
I just listened and laughed out loud more times than I can count. This guy has no idea what he's talking about and nothing interesting to say but is trying to present himself like some kind of hard hitting truth teller. I found the whole thing quite hilarious tbh.

*Continues to talk about himself and throws out utterly ludicrous claims that the person he's just met is only interested in hurting trans ppl and doesn't care about women with no basis. He does this solely on the basis that she has been called a TERF and assumed that title yet has the cognitive dissonance to bring up the N Word and not put two and two together.
He literally only treats Nina differently because she's a woman. Corinna expresses basically very similar positions, makes very similar jokes and Brian has a completely different attitude.

Katie Herzog and Jesse Singal have a lot of info on this character… I don’t think they have done a full episode on their podcast around him, only in relation to gamergate, but if I remember correctly, in the last interaction Brianna had with them, he tweeted that he had “receipts” of Jesse harassing trans women, so the internet offered BW money to be donated to whichever chosen cause if he showed the receipts… of course those receipts were never released.

Watched Triggernometry. What a grifter that man Wu is! So clearly discovered he needs to grift in a different direction to optimise his income. Disappointed that Francis and Konstantin didn’t push back a bit harder!

The comments on the Triggernometry interview were mixed, but I believe the majority of comments were people rolling their eyes that one of the biggest players in the culture wars is now wanting to be folded into the sane side. I’m mixed. I want “our side” to “win” and allow a space where people who are late to the game can be included. But the fact that Brianna Wu has not really apologized is, I think, why people are not being super welcoming. I think we’re gonna need more than “oops!” from someone who was so active in getting people banned, canceled, etc. Now that I hear about the heterodox interview, it sounds like there’s a very valid reason why people aren’t rushing to allow this person to come into, and possibly derail, the “based” side.
At the end when Nina says she is able to fundraise on Christian site Give Send Go and that they called her up and prayed for her (after I heard her trajectory through political space, all of which corresponds to my own life) it struck me just how weird it is that roughly half my info is now coming from Christian spaces and Christians that I am now admiring. What a turn around!
After a pretty crap day, this felt like I was hanging with my friends talking shit about an interview, as we do. Very entertaining in a very chill way. Trying to decide if I want to piss myself off by actually watching the interview.

Have to admit I didn't really know anything about Brianna Wu. Saw the Triggernometry episode, thought it was a trans, and (you guessed it) quickly went to Wiki where it didn't say anything about it.

Yeah he was one of the early proponents of the "deadnaming" being dangerous and killing people nonsense, so everyone went along with his schtick back then and removed all traces for him.

Just watched part of a gamer-gate interview with Wu and his husband. Within the context of how misogyny was presented in video games and his initial introduction to it, he says, “When I was a child…” Upon hearing this, I felt a twinge of sadness, only because, as a former FtM, I remember censoring myself by saying “When I was little…” instead of, “When I was a little girl…,” while listening to my granddaughter talk about her dolls. Given the context of that interview, it clearly would have had bearing on the issue if he had said “When I was a little boy…” But of course he couldn’t do that. For myself, I could not keep up the charade of pretending to be a man, especially because it meant erasing my past (not that it could ever be erased), and my womanhood, and everything that comes with being a woman. Sometimes I wonder if transing isn’t just a full on assault on women, with women essentially being erased by transitioning themselves, and men pretending to be women as they attempt to fill their spaces, their roles (i.e. mother, sister, grandmother…) and whatever else they can conquer.
It's hard for the parents of a child who is erasing their past too. I am not allowed to reminisce about the good old days of palling around with my wonderful son. Even saying, "I loved our time together," is somehow transphobic. Literally any reference to the past is transphobia. He tore up baby pictures. He won't be happy unless I also hate the old him and agree that he was always a girl. The other day I asked him to help me open a jar (I am almost 60, female, with arthritis) and he took the jar and then paused. I could see the wheels turning. If he's opening jars for me that's coded male, and he wants to prove he's a real girl, so he pretended to struggle with it and then said, "I can't". I could see his hands weren't even really tightening on the lid. He left his arthritic old mom without her pickles because he HAS to be a girl. But, I digress.
@@kp6541 Oh, man (no pun!). Thank you for sharing this. I have a strong acquaintance whose daughter transitioned around the same time I had made the decision to end my transition. I asked her how SHE was doing and received no reply. I never hear about the parents, much less experiences like what you, yourself, just shared.
You have to be careful who you tell because people just exile you and call you a bigot if you don't medicalize your child or affirm them. He said he literally believes he is literally a female with a literal female brain and that estrogen literally makes him female. I guess I should be thankful. If he'd taken the approach circa 2010 of recognizing he is male, but wanting to change his outward appearance when he was an adult after some therapy to be sure it wasn't just trauma from pandemic isolation, I might not have peaked yet.
I heard the Heterodorx interview and when I heard Wu speak I was honestly surprised because I instantly understood that I was listening to a man but I'd never heard that about Wu. I googled and found no reference to being trans except on some reddit thread where people were also asking the same question. Now I've seen the Triggonometry intereview and well, obvs! No big deal. I'm basing my judgement on what Wu is saying and I'm so over the hyprocrisy! Also I'm interested with the beef with Jesse Singal who's work I personally like.

Brianna Wu has been dropping into my Twitter feed, and until I heard his voice I truly didn't know that he was a man. However the second I started listening to the trigonometry episode with him being interviewed, it was as plain as the nose on my face 😂

I saw the Triggernometry thumbnail earlier and thought I’m not in the mood to listen to some man in a dress right now so I listened to music instead, then saw this pop up after work, so of course I listened to the women first. Now I’ll have to go to Heterodorx before I get to the Trigg show. He sounds lovely.

My guess is they more feel that ppl as adults have some freedom over what surgeries they can have.
They both disagree with males in women's sports and women's spaces as well as with children being medicalised.
It took me a while to see it. It's easier to fool the camera than it is to fool people in real life. I've interacted with that a**hole many a time on line but never saw a pic or vid of the dude. Was surprised by how well he passes.
I saw 1 second of the Triggernometry and knew. He also said its OK to transition *some* children (children like him no doubt)
Every time you call someone "trans" you spread the lie that there's a special kind of person and that's a real problem. Just sayin'. Call me extreme, but this is the whole entire freakin point. It's not really a lie about sex change that's the problematic lie. The problematic lie is the one about a very extra special kind / category of person. And that lie just gets more entrenched every time someone repeats it.
Sall Grover's awakening was something else. She had to do it in public too which must have been hard to do.
I was curious and listened to Nina's podcast and oh my gosh was "Brian-ah" Wu insufferable and I admire Nina's patience to just ignore all of the BS that was coming out of his mouth. I hadn't heard this guy actually speak and good lord does his narcissism and ego know no bounds. When Nina explained how she felt when she received the backlash and lost friends, her platform, and being blacklisted, I felt her pain and having to go through that is never easy, that's one of the hardest things about no longer being a sheep (for lack of better word) and no longer being able to lie about biological reality.
Brian-ah Wu is an egotistical charlatan who will get his just desserts some day.

I’m pretty sure that by dogmatic and embarrassing GC people Nina means women like Megan who refuse to acknowledge that T is a thing and won’t embrace public agp - unlike Nina who made a spectacle of herself defending Phil Illy and mocking women who objected to his open perving out.
The great thing about these long format interviews is people like Wu are able to talk for so long that they eventually reveal how hollow and empty their arguments are. And how narcissistic they are.

It's really frustrating because on the one hand, they do give a platform for gender critical people but on the other hand, I feel like whenenever they have a trans-identified man as a guest, they soft-ball questions and don't give enough push-back and it ends up making their conversations useless, at least to those of us who don't buy the trans lie.

Meghan check out the Kuihman - Brianna Wu debate. Brianna spent the entire debate muting their opposition, had a sympathetic moderator, and spent the entire interview lying, gaslighting, threatening legal action. Exposed for claiming multiple degree titles, exposed for claiming multiple job roles Wu had never done. It was amazing.
Also Destiny (remember him) is allied with Brianna, a connection Brianna is desperate not to lose. And Brianna's PAC seems to, but I can't confirm, pays Destiny. Destiny's community of cultists, dgg, will defend Brianna to the hilt, at least until Destiny predictably turns on Brianna which I'm guessing will happen within a year, as that's his MO.

Question for Mary Lu- I’ve been wondering if under NM “equality” act are you allowed to call a man, a man without a problem? I know the “public sphere of schools government require it but it’s not clear for private citizens and free speech.
My understanding is the law only applies to anyone working in any capacity for the state. That law was one of the reasons I had to stop accepting insurance in my practice.

My past feelings about Brianna Wu were pretty negative, what with her [that's still the pronoun that comes naturally to me due to only knowing of her by her female-coded online presence, not her actual biological sex which I wasn't even aware of until recently] involvement in getting people canceled for wrongthink, and agitating for woke-ideology-influenced codes of conduct in open source projects and other tech stuff, but I had noticed recently that she was actually saying somewhat sensible things in that area, so was prepared to revise my opinion more positively, but then the Heterodorx appearance was a trainwreck. You got hints of it early on like when she seemed flustered by the "Terfs and trannies" intro, and then when she ripped into JK Rowling and Jesse Singal, but it really got bad in the second half.
Last night I watched a few mins of trigonometry interview and like oh he’s a man and expects to be called female. I assumed that he was going to be problematic. Will still watch but interested to watch the other interview now.

Be happy about it and quit fighting these dumb wedge issues like basic trans rights shit. Even Wu, HERself, is perfectly fine with viewing the transition of children through a critical and scientific lens, which goes against her own party. Same goes with the topic of sports. SHE acknowledges all of this. There's no sense is demonizing Brianna when SHE is willing to be nuanced in the discussion.

Brianna wrote in a private group chat that leaked less than 6 months ago that they wanted taxpayer funded facial feminisation surgery, has suggested parents not "correctly" gendering their kids should be reported by teachers and the state should punish the parents, they also supported hormone blockers for people as young as eleven, a practice now banned in many European countries due to its barbaric effects on the body.
Brianna also stated in their latest interview that they had to ask their husband, Frank, what it was like to grow up as a boy - when we all know full well Brianna grew up as a boy in the late eighties, as Brianna hadn't transitioned then.
If you fell for Brianna's lies, that's fine, but they've never apologised for the HUGE amount of lies and deplatforming efforts over the years. It's appropriate to treat this person as the fraud they are. And no, they don't get "SHE".
