Bought the boot based on this review and have not been disappointed. Rarely seen such a realistic and informative presentation on UA-cam. Excellent work!
Hi Tony, I purchased a pair of these for touring in France. Overall I found them ok. Easy to get on and off and I managed to get some air through them in the hotter days. One serious down point…. grip……3 times I nearly dropped my bike when the surface below was wet and also particularly lethal in filling stations!
Ah, thanks for sharing that info. I've not experienced that, but it's always good to hear what others find - and I'll look out for a similar issue now winter seems to be arriving. Cheers, Tony
I've not worn the Drystar version (it wasn't available when we published this review), but ventilation isn't really a thing on waterproof boots as the membrane will be windproof. Based on my experience of other waterproof sports boots, they get stickier than the normal boots but don't normally cause me too big an issue with overheating. The mesh on the front is more for flexibility than for allowing air to flow through. I hope that helps answer your questions. Cheers, Tony
I wondered when we shot that clip whether the socks would draw any comments! I'll have a word with our range manager about them, but I suspect I know his answer 😆 Cheers, Tony
These are sportier, taller boots. The upper extends 65mm further upwards than the TCX boots, there are toesliders (unlike the TCX) and a lower sole profile (the TCX sole is chunkier for grip on loose surfaces). As you say, they also have a waterproof membrane. In short, SPX-Boa = sporty, Infinity 3 Mid = adventure. The waterproof SPX-Boas are now available (they cost £20 more at list price than non-waterproof). Link follows. I hope that helps. Thanks very much - and I'm glad you're getting on well with the boots. Cheers, Tony
So THAT'S what the CE numbers are referring to. First time I've had that explained thank you.

It's a shame these aren't mesh/vented boots as I'd get a pair for Thailand. I wish the sole was thicker, too.
Excellent review.
How well ventilated is the Drystar model? Is that front mesh good for anything? Maybe a small comparison? Could you kindly elaborate on that?

Thanks 👍
Great socks! Are these a new line for Sportsbikeshop? 😊

How do these compare to TCX Infinity 3 mid boots (apart from the waterproofing on Infinity)?
