Glad you love it, thank you! I've been using the cardstock planks since my first video a few years ago and as my own skills get better, I think my projects and videos are getting a lot better too
This is great. Once again you've inspired us. I've been building terrain the last couple weeks for a Shadowdark game I hope to run soon. It's not a huge terrain game, but I feel like terrain helps spark player's imaginations.
I agree, both is good! The feet idea is straight from the original Mordheim box : ), and I like using the bases for other details too like the overturned table with the arrows in it
These came out looking fantastic! i have been making buildings for quite a while but something Ive lacked in smaller scatter and cover. time to pull out that bag of coffe stirsticks and my cardstock and go nutss with tables and barricades!
Turned out great! I use Loctight Spray Mount to glue my cardboard/cardstock together. Have to do it outside, but I really like how fast it works. I have been doing the same as you with the recycling of the cereal boxes and other food boxes with the thin cardstock. 2 pieces glued back to back for the base material is really stronger than I thought it would be. Then once the parts are cut, glued and finished build, I use the same BMC glue (pva glue, acrylic paint, little water) as a primer. Again, surprised at how strong the parts become. I have been saving back all my food cardstock for about a year. I have a nice stock pile to work with. lol Keeps it out of the landfill and it's free too.
Two layers glued together is surprisingly strong! I plan to make a short video about cardstock bases for miniatures and small terrain pieces in the near future. I am always impressed at how durable pieces like these turn out in the end, and that's without even giving them a final varnish or seal
@@selrahcmoonandstar Exactly. I was doubtful at first. But I tested it myself. It really is impressive once finished. Can't wait for you next vid. Love the channel!
These, as with everything I've seen of your work, look great.
You're too kind!
Absolutely love this, I've been preaching the "cardstock planks" for a while now, great to see more people into it.

@@selrahcmoonandstar i just recently came across your channel and you definitely deserve more visibility!
I appreciate that : ) we'll get there eventually, I've got a lot more in progress for the near future
The power of cardboard, absolutely fantastic
I appreciate it : )

I feel the sameeee! Terrain can add a lot to the story and creativity, it just feels good to play on a table with cool stuff
I adore that table!
Thank you : ) an in-depth look is coming soon
Great video. The feet idea is pretty cool. A combination of both the feet and base will work for me.

Thank you : ) they were so easy and quick to make and paint too. You could combine it with the cart build, and just wreck the cart a little bit too

“Most of my life is spent in ruins *clear throat” 😂
lol
Very cool!
Very cool and useful! What do you use for dirt/flocking... actual dirt? 😮
Yup! A few scoops of dirt from the yard that I baked in the oven for a while
