I am an elementary school librarian and have a series of Fairy themed chapter books for the 2nd/3rd grade level readers. For a few years Ive wanted to decorate the area above these books, to help draw attention to them. I’ve used this series of instructions by Emilie Lefler to create some super cute fairies and can hardly wait to get back to school in the late summer to hang these little darlings up from the ceiling! Her directions are super easy to follow !
Fab idea for hair. I would try colouring the exposed wire on top of the head with a matching colour felt pen to hide it. Great tip using hairdryer!

You are awesome and talented. Since I found your channel yesterday, all I've done is watch lots and lots of your fairy doll tutorials. I'm anxious to buy materials and try them out.
If you have a big glob of glue that's in a place you don't want. Use the hair dryer trick and while it's still kinda melted tap the glob with your finger and you can usually pick it up or the majority of it. Pull it free then smooth any strands again with the hair dryer :)
I used it a LOT when I was making floss and burlap flowers for my wedding bouquets. Took. For. Ever.
Seriously. I made nearly a thousand flowers. And about 100 flowers in found out I was alergic to one type of burlap. Yay.
