This is what every crafter needs to make time to do at least once or twice a year. Put their hands on every project they've got hanging around and make a realistic decision about whether they will frog it, let it go, or make time to work on it. It is also a good idea to put hands on every piece of stash regularly too. Things don't last forever and things can be forgotten if left packed too long. Putting hands on a yarn can not only refresh the mind of its presence and feel of it (and check no bugs, sun bleaching, aging, etc has occurred) but give time for inspiration to kick in on a use for it.
Oh my!! That many WIPs would freak me out!! I have 3 not counting my year long blanket that is a monthly subscription. One is an advent project that took me a year to start and has languished for another year now. I’m thinking it’s time frog that one and pick another pattern.
I can't help thinking you should have started this like The Count from Sesame Street! "Wahhn! Wahhn beautiful bag of voool! Two! Two beautiful bags of vooool!" ❤😂 Also..never spread out the WIPs when the knitting muggle spouse is around! 😬 xx
I finished my yarn inventory. I made it so I have access to all my tubs without too much trouble. I frogged a bunch of things and have started working on a tricylops monster. I enjoy watching you, you have a great sense of humour. I hope your life things get sorted quickly.
It’s good to see someone else doing what I do . Usually twice a year I get all my projects out and go through them one by one . Some get frogged , sone get put into long term pile like scrappy blankets , scrappy quilts , larger cross stitch and then those I want to finish . Then I grab one project and work on it until it’s done and work through them . Then I can clear the decks a bit and enjoy working on a few new things or long term projects
I need to do the same with my project bag door even though those are all projects that have not been cast on yet -- but they are projects I've been intending to make for the last 5 years and just haven't started. Now the door won't open all the way so really need to get rid of some of the bags.... Happy knitting my friend! (Oh, and be sure to watch my State of the Stash video this weekend...)
Thanks to you, all my stash is sorted and ready to use. I got rid of yarn I will never use. Next is 3 totes of yarnish things that moved here 7 years ago.
Hi Karen! Looking FAB! I feel so much better after seeing all your WIPs! My Hubby has become my Frogger since he enjoys it & I can't change my mind midway. I showed him your line up ....strength in numbers😊🫣
O.k young Lady finish one at a time and do not start any thing new untill they areall finished God has blessed you with soooo much.keepin aneye onyou.28 yeah
Hi Karen! I would highly recommend a pair of magnifying glasses that fit over your regular glasses. Mine also have a light. Lifesaver for cross stitching! I got mine on Amazon for under $20. Love that you actually frogged some! One of these days I will have my stash and packed projects out of storage, and I think I am going to do the same thing. Have fun doing those quick finishes!
Thanks for the tip! I have done that. Unfortunately it’s permanent damage to my cornea. I’m managing better than I did because my eyes are aging and makes me see slightly better than before. 😍
I've started and frogged a few things over the past month or two. I'm just not as motivated as I want to be. I'm hoping for a warm up and a little sunshine here soon. I'm sure it will help. Good job on sorting through your goody bags. It's like a treasure hunt. If I had my druthers, all of my project bags would be clear so I could see at a glance what was in them. 😉
Tomorrow morning my dear husband will be going to breakfast with his dear friends and it will be my time to get honest about what I have on needles and Finish it or Frog it!

I have seasonal affective disorder so i hear you about grey days. Sunny days , even when cold are the best.
Mine are. Got them from knit picks. Or the bigger projects are in baskets.
❤
This is a wonderful start!!!! Good job. Go through your 'To do' and prioritize or would it be more fun to just pick up one randomly to work on?
Great idea!!
