The cowboy actually did a very good job of acting in the casino. He was not overly threatening at all or anxious as he knew in his head there was no need for it. In shooting this scene, if you take note the security guard with his back to the scene actually leans forward at the moment they reach the door and slams it open with his right shoulder - with the cowboy's upper right side totally hidden by the security guard so that you never see that neither his face or head ever hit the door.
And I honestly never noticed until you pointed it out and I went back and looked for it. Seen this film countless times too. That's the genius of films like this. Love it!
Actually if you read about the making of this film, and the interview with Craig Vincent who played the cowboy - they actually did open the door with his head, and it hurt just as bad as it sounded. That's because the security guard actor was supposed to slam the door open with his shoulder, but he missed and slammed into the wall instead.

I got that reference mate. The old Warner brothers cartoons. How about the weasel in the foghorn leghorn cartoons. “Yeh yeh yeh yeh”.
And the one with the big dog (Mark Anthony) that takes a maternal roll in taking care of a kitten. I love the scene where the kitten digs his nails into the dogs back to make it comfy. And when the dog thinks the lady had mixed the kitten into the cookie dough. The lady hands the dog a cookie in the shape of a cat. So the dog puts the cookie on his back. Then the kitten reappears. I also love the scene in a another cartoon, where a cat has to take care of a bird or a mouse (l can’t remember). But after the lady leaves, the house is surrounded by 100s of cats. And the cat inside has to stop all the feral cats trying to get the mouse/bird. Those 60s Warner brothers cartoons were the best. They still stand up today.
Joe Pesci is amazing when he gets angry: " You motherbeep beep beep beeeeeep beeeeeeeep! Beep beeeep!!" What quality lines!

It is not that the Frenchie girls are lazy and can fat up easily, it is that they are not used to the unhealthy American diet, and food chewing habits. The French diet allows them to eat a lot and still be slim.
The weekly weigh in needs to be brought back...
Slim, not slimy.

There was a telephone commercial he made years using the same voice with his kids regarding telephone usage plan.

This movie is so gotdamn good that even the actor who played the cowboy is still very sorry for putting his feet on the table...
A few years ago I was on a plane and some dumbass behind me had his feet up on the seat. Every time I put my head back it would touch his feet. I asked him politely to put his feet on the ground and he said, "No English." The airline was Korean Air and he was a Korean guy. I complained to the flight attendants and they eventually moved me to another seat. I really wish these security guys were on that flight and used his head to open the door to throw him off the plane at 30,000 feet. Yes, I know that would be a bad idea but just thinking about it makes me feel good.
Sorry, based on the absurdity of censoring in this clip, I'm afraid your comment needs to be censored too..

Thank God I was able to find this bleeped version of a Casino scene, now me and my 5 year old son can enjoy watching it together, finally
lol
The cowboy actually did a very good job of acting in the casino. He was not overly threatening at all or anxious as he knew in his head there was no need for it. He was just being a selfish baby upset that he is losing money. He really thought his boss, Joe Pesci, will back him up and make Deniro and that casino staff pay for bothering him (the cowboy) telling him to put his shoes on, etc.. He obviously was very wrong. He played it well. I thought he said "You gotta be kidding me" because he was so surprised that the 3 of them all grabbed him and threw him out like that using his head to open the door.
I am quite touched by your gracious comment about my acting in this incredible film, and I'd like to personally thank you for your kind words! God Bless. 😇 🙏
@@craigvincent60 This is a great scene. You with Rickles, then Deniro. Very entertaining watching it to see what is going to happen. You did a fantastic job, even later on, hysterical watching you worried that you really messed up as Pesci is talking on the phone with Deniro, etc. Very memorable scene.
@@craigvincent60 I hope the swelling and bruising from the phone in the face subsided fairly fast. Undoubtedly, Pesci was so into the method acting, that he actually hit you in the face with the phone (or at least this would make for a good anecdote...).
I love "Casino". Its the first movie I ever saw Don Rickles playing a straight dramatic role.
He played a straight dramatic role in Roger Cormen movie as well.
He did pretty well without the comedy.
@@scottdavidson526 Haven't seen the Corman film. It would be interesting to see him interacting with Dick Miller. I remember Rickles was a crewmember in "Run Silent, Run Deep" with Gable & Lancaster but even playing a dramatic role he was definitely the comic relief.
Top movie! I think it's possibly even better than "Goodfellas!" And Sharon Stone is outstanding in it too!
He was in Run Silent Run Deep 1958.
Deniro's suit makes him look like the CEO of a mustard company.
He's lost control... Thinks he's John Barrymore....
That line about sticking the cowboy into a hole in the desert ends up being prophetic.
Ironic he ended up in a hole in an Indiana cornfield.
A conversation between Joe Pesci and Samuel L. Jackson has to be legendary.
"you'd be late for your own fucking funeral"
Goodfellas
Dammit 🤯
how the fuck haven't they been matched up together in a movie, that would be EPIC!
@@maxlobkowicz3146 haven't you seen goodfellas?
@@samarrenvelexian9592 - Yeah, but Samuel L Jackson doesn't do his usual yelling of his lines thing in Goodfellas. He's just kind of hazy and out of it, because Tommy and Frankie (Carbone) came and woke him up (and then shot him in the head). I was kind of bummed by that scene, but from a "business" standpoint, they had a point about how the truck would have been traced back to "Stacks."
Love it!
Not really. I think he is too close to the hinges to be able to do it that way.
