@@herogibson Correct. My friends and I play on the 2nd to highest difficulty with max zombies, and I've always gone strength since I'm the base builder (which means I use clubs and shotguns). Clubs and shotguns are pretty demanding on hitting headshots. I've cleared skyscraper_02/Crack a Book HQ solo with nothing but my club in the wasteland. Gotta say, Simon at least has learned to just pull out his bloody gun when things go sideways. Dora froze and paid for it. Props to Neebs he ran and fought to the last possible moment. He clearly should've stayed at his base all day and built, he wasn't prepared enough, but he never once gave up. I gotta respect the will to fight, even if the time management needed work. He's actually had quite a few zombies. Maybe not quite as much as Dora or Neebs, but he spent a lot of the early days really upgrading his defenses, which autokill a lot of the Z's. Look how early he went to metal spikes, and no one else has even put in blade traps. His lower horde base puts him closer to the targets, which means he can see them better, and also get more oomph out of a shotgun. He got a little help from the random spawn, but he's also playing smarter.
It's not random spawns, though. Appsro and Simon get less zombie because they have 1 less side open to zombies. Dora and Neebs essentially guarded an extra side for them. Dora and neebs were having to spend more time or repairs, materials and bullets, and this gave the middle guys a slight advantage. Appsro uses that advantage to pay into automation, and Simon uses it to just barley scrape by. The House needed to be more spread out and set in a different pattern to avoid this. A square with a pond in the middle or something. But that would be less cinematic.
@@D.Jay. I understand what you're saying, but I think it's mostly an optical illusion. The houses ARE arranged roughly in a square, and the distance between Dora's and Neebs's houses is maybe a house and a half, not much more spawn space than initially existed between Appsro's and Simon's houses. Appsro built his horde outpost in the space between his and Simon's, and Simon in between his and Neebs's, which blocked some spawn space, but that was the result of gameplay, not a fault in the initial setup. That said, I don't know what effect the hills and trees behind Appsro's and Simon's houses had on the spawn rate there. You can see that some zombies definitely came from that way, but they do seem to love that big open field next to Dora's. You're telling me if he'd had as much trouble as the other guys did, he'd have hit blade traps as fast? I'm sceptical.
I suspect Neebs always gets so much action because of the stairs. He is the only one with an easy way to follow for the zombies. All thats between them is a trap door, not even any spikes.
I feel like the best actual player in terms of being able to fight zombies direct went out 1st. Neebs was just absolutely battered by hordes it was incredible that he lasted as long as he did. Dora takes dumb risks especially with that rubbish fire bat. Simons got a decent base but hasn't had a lot of pressure and he probably wont last like Neebs did in a fight. Appsros probably had the most effective traps by a long way. Those blades are mulching zombies.
That POI that Dora was in is the absolute worst. I have done it exactly 1 time, it is absurdly and excessively confusing. Well that was a fun session. I look forward to these each week and once again you guys did not disappoint.
I was feeling so optimistic, then Dora died pre horde and that was it... I knew someone was getting it and someone got it good. Funny how the first one going on the billboard is the dude who's name is on the channel 😆
the next victim will be Dora, then Appsro and Simon,Simon will win everything, because Appsro will take pity on Simon and show him how better he is and will even help Simon and this will kill him, he will make a mistake which will cost him two lives the odds will even out before the night of the horde, and all the zombies will run first to Appsro, and Simon will giggle and shoot his bow😄✌️
Simon, you have hundreds of feathers brought to your doorstep (well, roof) by birds during hordes. You can cut them up, their bodies stay longer than regular zombs so you may (depending when they spawn/get killed) get some in the morning even EDIT: I love the turn in which they die, the most prepped one is high above, the reckless, ignorant (of game mechanics, basebuilding, past breeches and so many other) dies first, even the inept but careful outlives him! No offence ment, just its sometimes eyemelting to watch people going 20 days of horde every night without forge or basic materials other than frame blocks for raids with greengos...
@@lessevilgoogright, this is why its important that you may have them in the morning. Not to mention that using stone arrows and wooden spikes against green soldiers and cops is quite a suicidal tactic...
So all in all in my opinion this particular series of you guys competing against one another in this gem known as "7 Days To Die"(Enter Dora's voice) "with a horde night every night" has just got me hooked and so far been loving every second of it, leaving me wanting more! So hats off to you guys for creating this brilliant idea for a series that stands on its own! Keep em comin cuz I'll be here watching! Never stop being you! (That goes for each one of you. Lol) Have a good night my friends!😊
@@herogibsonreally ok I miss understood the mechanic then. I just thought it would attract them to heat sources. I looked it up and it doesnt affect blood moons, but can you trigger a pitstop horde during a blood moon?
The only way Appsro *could* go out is if overconfidence causes him to walk into three stupid situations during daytime missions before Simon or Dora lose their last lives. Honestly, I don't see it happening. Dude's armed to the teeth, armored up, and generally doesn't freeze up in the heat of the moment. Meanwhile, Simon's scrounging for feathers and Dora's got a hole beneath his base that makes me think he may soon be starring in "Glass House 2." Still, even though I think we're all pretty sure how this movie is gonna end and who's going to be on the billboard, I'm enjoying the journey.
As someone who lives in the suburbs, yeah, that "You're technically in my yard" argument is a common one. But suburban neighborhoods are often tight knit so it's easily forgiven and remedied. A good neighbor will respect their neighbor's property lines. Neebs is the first one out! He'd best pick his spot on the billboard. He's the first loser. Dora dying this episode, I knew he would. Simon is doing pretty good, he's finally hit his stride! And Appsro, he's on top so he's definitely got endgame stuff! Maybe they'll do a Conan Exiles series like this, where they set their treasures in separate places, and they gotta defend their stuff from the incoming raiders!
It wouldnt have been faster, maybe you could argue cheaper but i havent seen inside the house where his base was to know. If it was cheaper it wouldnt have been by much. Building anew was his only hope, even though it wasnt much of a hope. His old base had multiple ways up, and didnt keep zombies out. He had no shot tonight. It was pretty obvious after the last episode that he was done. Then this episode started with him doing a job and his survival chances went from 1% to 0%
@@herogibson I've seen you all through the comments re: power attacks, torches, etc.. It's really nice to see someone in these comments who understands the mechanics of the game lol
Its just so funny that after all this time they have played they still dont realize that the zombies go for the least fortified person first. Appsro and Simon are surrounded by layers of spikes while Dora and Neebs both have/had paths and their base blocks unguarded.
It wouldn't be much of a 'Neebs Gaming' billboard without mr. Wonderbroom himself on it, right?! Compliments to Simon for not being the first to permanently die! Way to go, dude!
Appsro is going to win because he is not making stupid ass choices. Dora turned into a loot goblin and is not staying home to triple up his cobblestone walls, Neebs keeps trying to be practical in a zombie world asking 'why' over everything. Simon is simon, but I am proud of him because he is learning and doing sooo much better than he did when starting out.
wow what an episode.. im so glad Simon found the pleasure of the basic cooking pot. going from nothing to something is a very satisfactory feeling in yourself.
Everyone has heard Michael Jackson utter the word "shimone" in various songs, assuming he was stylistically saying "come on", similar to how Mavis Staples did in his 1975 hit song...but that assumption would be wrong. Not only wrong, it's wronger. MJ is actually saying "Si-mon". Don't ask.
I love neebs getting attacked while he’s having add staring at a bird xD. It’s like the bird knew he’d get completely distracted and stare straight up for an extended period of time xD
Active bedrolls do. That was an old bedroll that was inactive as evidenced by the lack of a bedroll marker on his compass. Only the most recent bedroll placed is active.
Literally in the game it tells you bedrolls and land claim blocks prevent *RESPAWNS*. initial spawns though. If you ever set up a 7DTD individual server, it's literally an option in the xml files. (Distance of bedroll activation, preventing respawns)
The only question remaining... is this a great Neebs Gaming series, or the GREATEST Neebs Gaming series? (I'm in the latter camp so far but reserve my right to change my mind.) That editing... chef's kiss, so good.

I suspect Neebs always gets so much action because of the stairs. He is the only one with an easy way to follow for the zombies. All thats between them is a trap door, not even any spikes.
Neebs to let Neebs spectate and still be in or it will drop the amount of zombies by 1/4th. Can let him talk to the others while they play.
Rest in Neebs hahaha poor guy, Simon for the win.
I love the little whistling laugh at 6:15, Dora I think? Maybe Simon. It's fun when we can hear you guys laugh at each other :)
can't wait to see what that billboard look like 😂
Appsro advancing so far ahead of neebs and simon has finally dragged everyones game stage high enough. I'd bet we have just a few episodes left.
hey Simon you can harvest feathers from zombie birds with a knife or shiv
That POI that Dora was in is the absolute worst. I have done it exactly 1 time, it is absurdly and excessively confusing. Well that was a fun session. I look forward to these each week and once again you guys did not disappoint.
14:00 Don't give unlimited food to certain animals or they will eat themselves to death. I present to you, Dora.
I loved the editing on this one! It followed the action so well and made comedic the mistakes and frustrations throughout the game day.
Wooh!!!
Waiting for this is worth it every time
Premier is 1am in the morning for me. And I have work in the morning. Totally worth it 😂
@@jay22alco totally worth it :D
I hope you realise i now walk around work muttering ITS A BILLBOARD to myself.
thanks
“Everyone can use a little love tap” -neebs. That’s a bumper sticker and a shirt!!
And then there were three! I'm so glad Simon wasn't the first to be out!
Epic ending 😂
Simon, you have hundreds of feathers brought to your doorstep (well, roof) by birds during hordes. You can cut them up, their bodies stay longer than regular zombs so you may (depending when they spawn/get killed) get some in the morning even
EDIT: I love the turn in which they die, the most prepped one is high above, the reckless, ignorant (of game mechanics, basebuilding, past breeches and so many other) dies first, even the inept but careful outlives him! No offence ment, just its sometimes eyemelting to watch people going 20 days of horde every night without forge or basic materials other than frame blocks for raids with greengos...
God if only Simon read comments
Not so sure him splitting his focus to harvest during horde would be a great idea
Remember when neebs went and lit up his base with torches and then gets all the zombies? Pepperidge Farms remembers.
Minecraft logic gets you killed in 7D2D
They still don't understand the heat map. Ffs, they put forges in their actual bases.
Zombies look for the easiest path on horde nights. Torches have nothing to do with anything.
@@herogibsonreally ok I miss understood the mechanic then. I just thought it would attract them to heat sources. I looked it up and it doesnt affect blood moons, but can you trigger a pitstop horde during a blood moon?
@@herogibson Heat map
I like how Apps, Dora, and Neebs state when they have too much loot, they're encumbered. Simon just says, "I'm too fat" 😁
I think the odds of Apprso winning just went to even money.
Unless he gets stupid, it's his. His base is the most fortified and he's got the best stuff out of all of them
He's gonna win, he's been attacked less than everybody else. I feel sorry for Dora he's had it the worst.
@@ademusrising2871 yeah the fact everyone gets a hundred zombies every night and he gets 10, turns out is an advantage to him.
Meanwhile, Simon's scrounging for feathers and Dora's got a hole beneath his base that makes me think he may soon be starring in "Glass House 2."
Still, even though I think we're all pretty sure how this movie is gonna end and who's going to be on the billboard, I'm enjoying the journey.
@@johnplaysgames3120 At this point the competition is who goes out last between Dora and Simon.
18:31 Simon: "I don't think i've used Bone yet for anything"
also Simon: holding a Bone knife
Proud of you Simon!
“God, I hate how big it is!”
That’s what she said!
…i’ll show myself out…
If you go slow, it's not an issue.
I am so proud of Simon not being first. I didn't know about that spot at Jens. thanks Simon.
I’m pulling for you Dora..if you know what I’m sayin… 😉
I think I'm picking up what you're packing 😏
I think I smell what yer steppin in
I think I'm catching your frisbee!
I think I'm picking up what your putting down.
Neebs should become a bandit who tries to steal your stuff each day
It's funny, it would have been cheaper and faster for neebs to fix his house than build that new tower
It's really nice to see someone in these comments who understands the mechanics of the game lol
his base is swiss cheese with leaks everywhere, there was no rebuilding that.
19:00 "You gotta really think about what makes you excited" - the wisdom of Neebs
Dammit I'll have to till after work.
My boss lets me watch youtube and today I binged the grounded series, btw neebs crew did you hear the name mystery zombie coming out
lol dora bei ng confused by stuff being sideways and yet maybe the building fell over to its side? lol
I feel Appsro needs humbled 😂
Simon is a man. I will be so proud of you if you can pull this off
Finally proves that sleeping bags do not prevent zombie respawns.
(Distance of bedroll activation, preventing respawns)
it's amazing that they even made this far into this series, especially all of them, but now is definitely the beginning of the end
#TeamSimon you got this you Mule!
Neebs should commentate the rest of the series with frequent use of “Get him!” as payback
Pummel Pete Level 4 💪
RIP Neebs
btw show the zombie kill count to see how much those blade traps are actually "chewing them up"
Let it be know that Simon is the superior to Neebs in 7 Days to Die haha
Yes, lets never let Neebs forget this!
I have been saying it since Alone-ish, but now there's proof of it.
The only question remaining... is this a great Neebs Gaming series, or the GREATEST Neebs Gaming series? (I'm in the latter camp so far but reserve my right to change my mind.) That editing... chef's kiss, so good.
For the algorithm mah dudes 🤘🏼
