I played Tuesday nights at Chimera Books and Games, Rockville, for years in the late 1970s. Kerry Lloyd was GM. He ran a fantasy campaign with up to 20-40 players at the table. Amazing. I worked for GameLords too. Kerry passed away in August 1988.
I've no Traveller experience but this looks pretty interesting. I just don't know if I could justify the hardcover price, but it looks beautiful. Sometime I may need to invest in a good tablet, nice PDFs like this just don't look good on my Kindle.
Hello and thank you for the review. I am a loooong time Traveller fan who like you, knows most of the history of the game. I wasn't sure I wanted to buy this, but thanks to your review I am certain I should have a place on one of my bookshelves that are overflowing with Traveller material. Thank you!
I am reading this before bed, and just got to the DGP chapter. It's a great book, like most of the author's work. 13:31 I have _Hard Times_ and to make a long story short I have come around to the idea that "The Rebellion" should have really been presented as "Hard Times" from the start.
Sorry if I missed it but did you say where this can be bought? I see it for $30 on Drive Thru RPGs and nowhere else that I can see. Anyone know of any other options besides DTR? Thanks.

Cool, didn't know this was coming! Looking forward to reading it. I just received Imperial Navy and it looks awesome as well.
I enjoyed the heck out of this book. Lots of stuff I didn't know, lots of stuff that I kinda knew but was missing context.
I had some Traveler system stuff when I was a teen (in the 80s). Couldn't get a single one of my AD&D gang to try it. So I got rid of all of it. =(

Fantastic, I look forward to and always enjoy your Traveller content. I will be picking this up once the hardback is available.

Typos? Damn, thought we'd got rid of them all. If you can send through a list, it may be possible to correct them before the print run in August.

Great review, BTW! 😉
Incredible!
Fantastic!
Planing a game? Hope so!...

That Drive Thru listing is $30 for PDF only, no hard copy or .epub options at all.

FYI, the physical book is a pre-order, but you get the PDF right away.
Hardback is expected to be out in August.
@@HyphenDJW Thanks very much.
