Heading back to Japan in Feb and one of our stops is going to be Hakone so been watching videos. Heading there since I grew up watching Evangelion and that's where it takes place in the anime. The chirping noises you're hearing in the woods are Cicadas. We're in MD and a few years back we got the chance to hear the Brood X cicadas that only come out every 17 years. Pretty wild. Onsens are just amazing. We have them booked pretty much our whole two weeks this time around. They're great for healing the body after a long day of exploring. Awesome video y'all. Enjoying the videos. Getting us hyped up for our trip coming up. ✌🏼
Oh! Are those all birds shoes you're wearing? How were they? I recently bought the protectant ones for rain and have wool on the inside to keep me warm during the winter and I have been loving them BUT how did they do for your trip to Japan? How long did they take to break in? I've had them for about two weeks now and use them while walking in town but haven't done any long trips with them yet. Thanks!

Thank you for commenting and glad you are enjoying the videos that’s one of the reasons we make them!!!! Onsens are 10/10 absolutely amazing and going in February will be a great time to enjoy them!
Yes they are Allbirds we have had a few pairs and they definitely don’t take long to break-in we bought them earlier in the trip and kayla started wearing them almost right away! They were amazing for walking around Tokyo and Hakone (also the people at the Allbirds store in Harajuku were amazing🤩)! You are going to love Japan!

Myself and the wife will be in Japan Oct 3-24 (first time). Did you guys have any apps you used frequently?

Not really to be honest mostly we used the Suica app (but its 100% in Japanese) and apple/google translate, and a-lot of apple/google maps 😅
We do use airalo and ubigi for esim while we were there both work pretty well bug ubigi was better for 5G!
