Picked this up yesterday at the promo. upgrade price, and it's the most transformative plug-in I've ever known! Great job guys.

Would have been nice to have a trim at the end of this chain. Makes it easier to control the volume in the vst. Maybe even a link between input /output and trim. Idk. Just ideas.

If you have the Effect Rack you can use the Input and Output controls from it to balance your volumes. That's one of the great things about the Effect Rack is extending the capabilities of the plug-ins without having to completely redesign each one.

You guys are on the right track with the Altec gear. An emulation of the green vintage Altec compressors would be the absolute bomb! "The Altec Bundle"! Oh yes...

Juice is still coming. For sure. The concept has changed a bit, and we think everyone will dig it, we just had a lot of platform stuff that had to go in front of it. Once that's done, we can turn our attention back to Juice. Radiator certainly was part of the research we were doing for Juice, but not in any way a replacement, just an extra interesting sound for the palette.

Very nice plugin; use it on "real" instrument and it adds a lot of caracter; I use it a lot. And because of the (lot of nice) gain added, it would be so cool that sound toys add a "output gain" knob, would be helpful for A/B! But very nice plugin! As always with u guys!!! :)

I’m thinking that the drumming is from Ilan Rubin? Sounds like his groove.

Juice is still on the way, and we think our new twist on the idea will make everyone happy. Just have to get past some of this platform stuff first.

In terms of sound, is little radiator really different than radiator? kan you use radiator as a preamp too?

    • @soundtoys
      @soundtoys  2 роки тому +1

They are different but similar in sound as the full Radiator has two saturation stages (input and output) being modeled on the Altec mixer and Little Radiator is modeled on the single stage preamp. But... if you don't push the output stage, the input side of Radiator is very very close to Little Radiator in sound. It's all about the subtle color options and not so much dramatic differences.

Seems like something you can do with your own stock daw plugins aswell, $95.00 for a plugin that has limited features and has every feature a EQ has or a cheap has Saturation Is a scam

+TFRadicals No not cheap, just a pain in the ass for those who want to use them legitimately, it is more convenient to dload cracxed. You only punish decent people, cracked versions are always available.

+Drererere Derererere iLok is super convenient in many ways, especially if you need to switch computers. IMO cracked software is the only thing doing the punishing because it takes money away from developers AND drives up the prices of legitimate software.

Synthesizer Lorne I've read all the horror stories of ilock I wouldn't use it if it came with every plugin free. People who use cracked software either cannot afford to buy it or they can but they won't for whatever reason so that only leaves those who do want to buy it like me forced to find alternatives, that is IMO what takes money from developers. I've also seen many tutorials on youtube made by famous producers caught out using cracked software only later to admit they are using it because of convenience. It's very simple, I pay you money you give me the product. No serials, no time wasting bs. You save everyone time and you make more sales.
Like SK note for example, no gimmicky dongles, you pay you get the product, the product has your name on it, you use it, couldn't be simpler.

Drererere Derererere I imagine you will find almost as many nightmare experiences from other copy protection systems as well (look into the amount of complaints against NI's cp, for instance). That's the reality of intense copy protection schemes, which would not be necessary at all if people didn't crack . The idea of just paying for software and getting it and having that be that is of course great, but but not feasible for many if not most companies. Maybe one day that can be the norm.
Anyway, maybe just my experience but I think people complain too much about CP. I've got over 6000 plug-ins installed on my main system and I can't think of any major headaches I've run into. You install it, and then enter a serial or add it to your iLok and then it works. Maybe I'm just lucky...

"A little taste [of this plugin] is all you need"
No, I don't need this plugin at all.
And even if I would "need" it I wouldn't buy it because it's too expensive.
