- The 2017 World Rally Championship has come to an end but here you are a video "tribute" I made what I consider the craziest and most extreme WRC 2017 car: the Toyota Yaris WRC.
Enjoy it being driven flat out along the road of the WRC Rally of Germany by Jari-Matti Latvala, Juho Hänninen and Esapekka Lappi!

Everyone's talking about the exhaust note and here I'm getting amazed at how absolutely perfect the drive was. Surely one of the most well balanced car and drive out there. Every kerb every corner even the jumps and land... All perfect. Those suspensions are truly well put together.

This obviously doesn't sound like one and came before the GR Yaris.

Love what the aero does to the rain and dust
I understand these guys are top notch engineer's, so it comes at no surprise, but I have to say you can really see how well the brake bias is on these machines in some off these hard corner braking clips.
That Yaris looks like a red-white-and black slashed atomic doorstop of a car! The engine stutters off-throttle like a dyspeptic machinegun!

Hi Bozzy.👋 Lovin' this rally action! Immediately, I thought, this is awesome.🙌 10 minutes of this crazy Yaris blasting through my headphones, then what seemed like just a few minutes later, it was over. So glad replay is an option.😀 Man, that thing rips! I guess the huge wing keeps it planted. All that carbon fiber is truly a work of art!😍 Love those jumps just after the two minute mark and that cool whistle around 2:07 . What do you think of the location? I think that village surrounded by farmland and hillside vinyard is gorgeous.👌 Your closing scene makes me want to visit there. Thanks to you and your buddies for the tag team effort in putting this together, mate!👏 Cheers!
I'm still a lot amazed by how, after all, all these aerodynamic devices can withstand all those jumps, corners, cuts etc.. Ok during a rally stage it can happen to go a bit wide and break something but at the beginning of the season I was expecting too see pieces of carbon scattered all along the stages XD Location... well that particular area with all the vineyards left me breathless. Such a shame for the bad weather but if I come back next year I'm almost tempted to take some pictures instead of doing videos hahah

I know folks hate on the hatchbacks because old school rally had more variety, but these things are undisputed handling machines.

No, I'm 110% sure ;) Since there were Yaris at the WRC of Germany in some special stages I recorded all three of them from the same place. But it could have happened a few shots from the shakedown are about the exact same Yaris from the exact same place..

Anti-lag. In a nutshell, fuel/air is injected into the intake on deaccelerating, keeping the turbo spooled to avoid lag.

yes, because the injected fuel/air goes through the turbo and then out of the exhaust.
