You could definitely tell Jordan was out of it in a lot of his videos on CS2 and just overall very distracted whenever he would check his phone and it’s nice to now know why that was the case. It’s sad that he had to deal with that but also very relieving to know that someone a lot of us care about (even if we might not actually know him) is feeling more free and likely less stressed in his current situation. We’re glad to see you smiling Jardon :)

I was always so super proud of Jordan having that last house. Seeing a UA-camr back then having LA hills money was such a big deal and as he said, it was an eye opener for many that this was even possible by playing games online for people to watch.
That said, I'm also glad that the weight and stress of the sale has finally been lifted and he can relax now.

I was one of those idiots. I posted a screenshot of some page with his full name and the names of his parents. I thought it was just an interesting bit of trivia, but I was informed that it amounted to doxxing. I was mortified; I had stumbled on that page while searching for something Minecraft-related (if I recall correctly) and I thought, it can't be so bad if it's already online! Now I understand how clueless I was.

The openness and honesty, not pretending to be something you are not, is why I enjoy watching your content. I don’t watch any other channels regularly (outside of series were X33N is involved from his perspective too)…the openness is something that we don’t have enough of this day and age. Instead of judging one another we need to support and care for one another more, especially since mental health awareness (and frequency) is on the rise. Keep true to yourself and support those around you, you never know when somebody is struggling or having a bad day and could use a smile or encouragement.

Damn having two houses and two mortgages is tough. My family did it several years ago when moving into our current house and even though I had just entered high school then I still could see how stressed that made my parents. It was a huge relief when it finally sold.
All those “what should I order for dinner” looking at phone was more like “WHY WONT YOU BUY HOUZ!!” Glad the stress is gone Cap

I know you sorta got hosed on the pricing; but I wanted to say I'm proud that wasn't your initial focus on the house; that you got a place you wanted and you lived in it; even if that meant filling a bunch of closet space randomly.
And now you have the new place, and your emphasis on making it a home makes me happy to hear for whatever reason. aLso, paranoia isn't paranoia if it's justified

I just did the whole double mortgage thing, you’re right, it’s not comfortable at all. I decided to remodel the old house myself and it ended up being months and months of double mortgage. Looking back I should have done things differently, but good on you that it’s sold!
I'm always checking in on the cap every once in a while, whenever I do it puts a smile on my face everytime because he always enjoying himself. I'm starting to revisit older videos and so I might stick around for longer this time.

Having a partner or family with money for a purchase is almost required in this day and age. Unless you lucked out with an excellent job that hopefully is manageable. I'm glad Sparkly is more social than when he first started.

I feel like I can empathize with this a lot. I'm finally in a position in my life to where I have enough income and money to enjoy myself, but not enough to not think about what I'm spending. It really makes you paranoid about things just falling out from under you.

@@jakistam1000 Yep. Some people get their jollies off calling in fake calls to the police in order to get SWAT to raid people's homes (aka Swatting). Especially if they can see it live online with a streamer. Some of those calls have actually ended in people being gunned down by the police. Also, an actress in California (Rebecca Schaeffer) was murdered at her door by a stalker back in the 80's, with an address sourced from the CA DMV. It caused a change in the laws where the CA DMV couldn't sell your private address, and also brought about the first anti-stalking laws.
Real estate is a strange thing.
Location location location as they say. It's no joke.
I think a home in a place and price range that a lot of people want to live will always have value. While places in inconvenient locations or with strange layouts are the places that will struggle when the bubble pops.
In my country the normal thing is to buy a home first, but you don't actually take over the place until a few months later.
Then you start prepping your current home for sale, put your stuff in storage and paint everything white because that sells for some reason.
Then hopefully your place sells within the next weeks before moving. You might end up with a double mortgage, but at that point the sale is locked in.

Youre totally valid to feel how you felt, and I feel bad because as a 12 year old when you bought that house it was baffling, my favorite UA-camr was so successful that he had an unbelievably nice house so I talked about that shit all the time, and I'm guessing a lot of people did for the same reason, I don't think people were trying to be creepy and weird and pretty much stalk you, but they definitely were.

When I bought my house many, many years ago, the rate popped from 8% to 11% in the 2 months between offer and final purchase. Back then, one couldn't lock in the rate at the time of offer.
I know so well what you talking about. I paying the mortgage for my mom's flat b/c she cannot and boy... Luckily, not so much to do with the rest since my mom handles the cases that arise around the flat, so I have to just pay but prices skyrocketing nowadays.

I moved out of my place so that some $5K of work could be done before it was put on the market. I did have mine staged, but the interest rates and HOA fees have killed the market. I'm glad you got your old place sold. Meanwhile, if my place doesn't sell soon, my new house will be finished and I'll have to take on a giant mortgage. Not thrilled about it, but my old place is payed for, so when it does eventually sell, I'll have that money.
