This video earned a sub. Im an ex rosette trained chef and now a game shooter hunter in my spare time. Your pie is hands down best game pie recipe i will be using rabbit, wood pigeon and venison in mine.
I can hardly believe it. After donkeys years of study as an amateur cook, I have stumbled across a chef who really knows his business. Recipes of superb detail and clarity. What a find. Thank you.
@@TheWindmillMayfair Hi Carl! Great to hear that you're returning to youtube! I'd given up hope! I made your steak and kidney pie and it was so good that I made a pilgrimage to the Windmill a few months ago - the real deal was even better. Are you still at the pub or have you moved on? Would you consider reuploading your recipes to the Windmill website or to a new website of your own? The recipes are currently only accessible by using an internet archive...! Thanks for all the great recipes and I hope you're doing well.
Great recipe. I have pheasant and rabbit and looking for an additional ingredient. Should I be frying rabbit before or cooking as you did venison? And should any other game be given different treatment to go in a pie?
This pie Is fabulous, ancient, traditional. This recipe Is really great. Thank you for sharing

love these pie videos but when I follow the link I can't find the recipes at The Windmill site?
Those loose bottom pork pie tins are excellent but blooming expensive to buy! 3inch or 4inch diameter?
Excellent recipe, many thanks. But the background music is awful, very distracting.
Music is massively irritating. Pies look great! :-)
No it's great!!
I wish you had this video with out music. It’s so annoying and distractive
Music obtrusive & annoying.
Sorry. I like it.
@@TheWindmillMayfair Dont be sorry.
