You have what's called a fall and a spring turnover. The warmer water goes deep or down and cooler water comes and the other way around in spring. It makes what is known as a thermocline. And the fish will be somewhere close to it. And when a cold spell comes in they say it sort of makes them sick and they won't bite. They usually head for the deepest part of a pool or lake or stream In summer for the cool and winter for the warm. They will move around shallow to feed but return to their comfort zone. And can only go so deep in lakes because there is no dissolved oxygen way, way down.

My wife and I use Coghlan's Bug Pants and shirts. We also use mosquito hammocks to stay away from ticks.
JONATHAN!!! HELLO!! What a treat to see you make an appearance! Beautiful weather, fishing, and good food....all while camping. Does life get any better than that! Have you guys ever made "walking tacos"? The chili made me think of it...we make them when camping. You just make taco meat, put it on top of some Fritos, with your favorite taco toppings and there ya go! It is technically a "walking taco" when you make it in a small bag of Fritos because you just put everything on top of them in the chip bag so you can walk around or stand while eating (they sell them at fairs or festivals here in Kentucky) Also a thought I had...Arkansas's scenery and landscape reminds me a lot of Kentucky, but Arkansas is like Kentucky's prettier cousin lol! -Hedy

What a gorgeous campsite!! Hi Jonathan!! I know you like using natural products, so maybe that is why you don't use this, but if you would like to stop the ticks dead in their tracks, treat your workout tarp with permethrin. You can treat anything and everything (minus underwear for obvious reasons 😁), and don't spray your skin, but you do need to let it dry for a few hours. Then it's pretty much good for years, depending on how much you wash or use an item. I believe it is non-toxic to animals, but it will kill any insect/spider if they get on to your tarp/backpack/clothes/etc. Obviously you'll still want to check yourselves, but this is pretty magical stuff. 🙂

Yeah today me and my dad went fishing on Lake Norfork and it was the first time in my life I fished for 7 hours and didn't catch one fish. ( My dad caught 3 ) talk about exhausting.

So nice when Jonathan can join you. Looked very relaxing and WARM. It's still chilly here in Wisconsin, rainy too. My Little Guy camper is ready and raring to go. Like Kellie, I like warm weather camping. I'll go 50's during the day and 30's at night at the coolest. Not there yet. I enjoyed seeing all your chargers and how/where they get plugged in. You've really got a good charging system going there. I'd never remember it all. I can handle a Jackery :) Looking forward to your next video. The chili and scones looked yummy.

Hey guys, I have the same Camp Chef 2-burner stove and my regulator had issues as well. It is a known problem for the stove. You can contact Camp Chef and they will send you a new one quickly. Love your videos!

I cannot agree more that IT IS FINALLY HERE, well actually there which is why we are escaping the freezing Chicago weather to head to AR this weekend for a week then up to Moore Expo. I think we will be primarily banging around Ozark NF and not down to the Ouachita NF. Any advice on spots that we should seek out as this is our first trip down to Ozark NF?

Bugs.... yuck... that is why I love living in desert SW, here is NM we don't have so many. Mosquitos, ticks, you just rarely see them except in rainy season (July-Aug) and there's lots of standing water. Different climate and humidity...
