Fyi, try not to get anything on the brake pads themselves & if you do, hit them with some break cleaner & a soft bristle brush to get any sand\gravel\debris\dirt\etc off of them, as sand\gravel\debris\dirt\etc can gouge ruts in the newly honed drums & also ruin brake pads.
And definitely don't get any lubricants or grease on the brake pads or in the newly honed drum, as that will cause them to slip & burn & possibly start a fluid fire, safety first guys & gals.
Install the shoes with the retainer clip to hold the shoes in place then assemble. The creator of this video makes this job look a lot harder than it is. Clearly it's his first time and has no idea what he's doing.
After watching this I decided to take mine to a mechanic to have it done.

05 PT Cruiser convertible has disk brakes in the rear.
Probably the gt mine is the base model
O C D
how do you like doing drum brakes on a pt crusier???????????????
Could be worse
@@Fasteddiesinhomerepair i have a 08 pt and i did my rear drums, what a pain in the ass, same trouble that you guys had!!!
you should have put the brakes first and left the cable for later almost for the last
How do you think that
Na, that would make the job almost impossible. Cable first always
