Yes, I have the dark corners too. It is an HD lens that is used in combination with a 4K (6K) camera. So that lens is pushed far beyond its limits. The lens is built for HD. I magnify my image up to 105% in Premiere Pro if it bothers me. As mentioned before, this is a really cheap TV lens, compared to commonly used ENG lenses. For example, there is a lot of chromatic aberration at the tele end of the zoom length. Edges discolour purple and green in strong lights. I think the URSA Broadcast has a filter to compensate for this. But a traditional ENG camera has three sensors arranged on a prism. That prism, removes all chromatic aberration. And if I do a full zoom, the lens isn't centered. So I zoomed in, centered the subject and than zoom out. And the subject isn't cetered anymore, that ain't good too. There is also a lot of focus breathing when focussing. But despite the limitations, I do like the lens. Maybe because I know that I can't afford 24,000 euros at the moment. :D The lens isn't perfect, but I don't expect it at this price. If I wanted perfection, I would've bought much more expensive lenses from Fujinon or Canon. By the way, Canon got a similar lens in this price range. I'm looking into buying this lense, maybe the chromatic aberration is better. I think so, to use the lens as a studio camera with a zoom and focus controller. I'd have to check the manual again to be sure. But there are gears connected anyway.
I finally received the lens last week and used it on a sports event. Alas, there is no focus servo control. Which is a pain, as it means you can't screen tap the G2 LCD panel to autofocus. But the image quality is very nice, pretty much all the way to maximum zoom, when a bit of purple aberration occurs.
@@VickersDoorter The lens, of course, does not have autofocus. It is a professional ENG lens. Professional lenses for cinema and ENG usually never have autofocus. The lens does have three servo motors for zoom, iris and focus. To operate the lens in a studio setup. So operated from behind and not from the shoulder. Maybe the newer (more expensive) TV-lenses got autofocus, can't say.
@@VickersDoorter Do you have any sample footage? That particular lens is BERM. B for B4 lens, E for Extender and RM for manual focus servo zoom. Lens thats has servo on focus is RD (Full servo) or ZD(Full servo with Quick Frame).
@@bojanagatic375 And you are right, I have just read the manual and the focus is completely manual without a servo motor. The gear I could see is just to measure the focal length. That information is sent back to the camera. For servo focus you have to buy an extra part. My apologies, I'm not a lens expert, just a novice cameraman. Looks like the Exceed, cheap, series don't have a full servo option. A step higher, the HD select series, do have it. Did you notice slight vignetting on the upper left corner? Looks like a B4 lens adapter problem on G2. I have it also....

you have to shoot at only 90 percent of the zoom range to avoid that
Nice footage. Is there a focus servo also?
