- My 12 month review of the 2010 Audi S3 Black Edition. I talk about what it has been like to live with, the pros and cons and also talk about my future plans for the Audi S3 including the first bit of tuning I am doing.
Their are a few clips in this video including the Audi S3 exhaust and driveby sounds but it is by no means comprehensive.

I keep wanting a focus RS but I'll be keeping my S3 for at least another year. S3 is a perfect all round car
+David James what RS are you considering?
NFoxtv got to be the MK3 RS. But will see how much they drop in price used next year
+David James yeah they are a fantastic all rounder!
Proud s3 owner love it
Brilliant review. On the hunt for one myself. How many miles were you getting from a full tank to empty with mixed driving? Cheers
Honestly I can’t remember off the top of my head. I would say approx 300 maybe but it’s been quite a while and I have owned and driven so many cars since! Sorry!
I love the s3 practical fast and a turbo I think it's mint mate
02 Ragnor glad you like it 👍🏻
I do miss mine to be fair, when I had it I found it boring after awhile, and now I think it's the perfect road car, decent fuel, decent power when taken to stage 2+ and it's really comfy to be fair!
+3Volution yeah I think I am in the same boat, it is such a great alrounder. I know when I do change, I will miss it :) what do you have now?
Will you be doing a video about the remap and milltek exhaust? I'm planning on getting an s3 soon and will definitely be remapping but not sure whether or not to take it to stage 2+.
Blindside FPV I have actually filmed this very video just haven’t had the time to put it together. I might re-record it however as I have since been to the nurburgring etc and have a much better feel for it! In fact I have a drive out on the 30th, I shall re-tecord it then and put the video out for the new year 👍🏻
Did you fit the Quattro badge below the front grill yourself? Or was it already fitted when you bought the car?
Please reply back to this mate lol
@@kbs3631 I’ve seen them fitted on the bottom of the grill plenty of times, I’ve seen you can buy the badge on eBay, but I’ve never seen one actually fitted BELOW the grill though. I thought it looked way better
@@MrJeddy333 Yh i agree
What mileage/price did you go for?... I’m either going for a S3 (2009-2012) and a camper van or a Golf R... can’t afford both but want camper 🙈
Anthony Williams when I got mine it was a 2010 with 15,000 miles at £17,000 but this is going back quite a while now! Other than the tech/infotainment, you wont miss much from the golf R in the S3 in my opinion.
As always though, I would encourage you to test drive both as what works for one, may not work for another 🙂
I really like mine but can't say I LOVE it (then again, my last car was an engaging driver's car). My primary issue with it is the steering. It is extremely light at all times, even when i'm pushing the car and it takes very large steering inputs to get it to turn in how you want it to (anti lift kit helped a bit but was not a dramatic improvement).
I completely get what you mean, I haven’t owned mine for quite a while now but since moving to BMWs etc I would say the S3 is amazing, but a bit clinical and easy. It offers road performance that almost anyone can extract and as a result feels less rewarding.
I would love an S3 or similar as a daily though if circumstances ever allowed!
Hello. How would you compare the ride comfort in s3 to bmw 3 series e90? I'm driving BMW at the moment and thinking about changing to S3 and I am a little bit worried about level of comfort between these 2 cars. Wouldn't want to "downgrade" in that compartment ; - ). Thanks for the resposne. Great video!
Thank you. Comfort wise the S3 wasfine for me but I guess it is something that will vary person to person. I drove over to tge Nurburgring in it without any trouble at all and found it a great compramise between comfort and still being firm enough when pressing on. 🙂
Looking forward to see how the new exhaust changes the sound of the car. Noise is important :)
+Fezza hopefully get the video up of the exhaust soon 🙂
Looking forward to hearing more of the new exhaust! 😎
+Red Eleven Media stayed tuned 👌🏻
road noise is horrible, is it the camera or the car ?
It was audio straight from a gopro at 70mph on the motorway! It was a rather impromptu video so no lapel etc!
What mpg? Perfect video!
Patrico Luciano thank you, I average about 25 mpg with a mix of driving. I have seen over 30mpg on a run though and can easily see under 20mpg if I am on a spirited run 🙂
Hard to hear you mate. Def need a mic. Great car thou.
+lapamful yeah this was a very last minute video on my way to get the exhaust done so I only had the gopro! Use a lapel and separate recorder now 👍🏻
Informative video. Shame about the coins tho 😉
It would be silly not to get a s tronic
I wish i had a manual because I find it much more engaging but don't have to worry about clutches which is cool
I wish i can afford this car 24 year old .. i got ibiza 2010 ... and it’s 2018 :(
Mohamed Khatib ibiza are great little cars, really like them 🙂
Dude I’m from Israel s3 2010 cost 28k and im a physiotherapist everything is expensive here
Here in Aust People selling this car are asking around 20,000$ .. too much really considering that a 1.8 2013 8v is around the same price and the interiors are so much better
Mate this was awful ... nice car though!!👍
