I love this tutorial. Years ago my husband was trying to start a t-shirt business. I bought him 2 heat press machines and a ton of supplies for it and it’s all collecting dust. I want a couple of shirts made for myself and refuse to pay someone to do it and we have all of this equipment and supplies, so I’m going to try my luck and make my first shirt.
Tracie, your “pre press” was something I’ve never heard of, but I tried it tonight and it worked wonders with my press!!! I’ve been leaving the clear sticky plastic on for the entire first press, and it is kind of difficult to get it off. With the pre press, the clear plastic came off so much easier!!! Thank you for that tip!!

WHERE CAN I FIND GOOD QUALITY tSHIRTS TO ORDER IN BULK? I LOVE THIS VIDEO. I ORDERED THE MACHINE AND ARE READY TO GO. JUST NEED THE TSHIRTS AND WHAT IS THE BEST MATERIAL TO USE TO PRESS WITH
Jiffy Shirts and Bella Canvas have great shirts... Hi! Thanks for watching! If you look under this video, I have 3 videos that link to more t-shirt info🤗🙌🏽
Came out way nice, the deisgn is really crisp and clean. Colors go together very well and those lil custom symbols add that perfect personalized touch without it being too much.
You are a doll! Just a little perspective from my experience. Although it is certainly ideal to go direct to the outlet when plugging in, I have operated my press forever on a heavy duty extension cord with a surge protected power strip. Never had an issue. That allows me to put my press in the most convenient location for my use. Love, peace & best wishes to you always and remember...keep pressing on! ♥
Heyy, thanks for the video, I’ve spent over $200 over the year paying for different shirts, I’m convinced I can really make my own..lol, I couldn’t find your video on how to make a design..

I know this was posted 2 years ago, but this video is so helpful! I decided to make my own clothes because I can't find any clothes I like in stores. Thank you for these videos!!!!!
I saw the plastic pieces on the letters, what are they? Is it the type of paper you print on because I’ve been using transfer paper but whatever you use is probably better! I love the video it’s really helpful
Omg I have been searching and searching for help with this and your video is the only video helped and made me feel confident in doing this just when I was bout to give up God bless thanks soo much
This is awesome and simple I always wanted to get a press to design my own shirts, but thought it was too complicated & your video was the 1st that I came across.... your tutorial was very helpful.. thank you for sharing 😘
@@traciesplace thank you Tracie im way ahead of you 😀... I already ordered it from Amazon & got it in last week just waiting on my vinyls coming separately. I did practiced with the vinyls i bought from walmart im a little rusty but making progress & figuring out what to do & not to do
So even when you had it set for 16 seconds then you pressed it down for 4 seconds to set the vinyl in place was it hard unlocked at that point. You did an excellent job explaining how use the machine I have the same one for a year never used because I was to lazy to read the information I thought it would be very complicated. Thank you so much
I was looking at one of these machines and an embroidery one trying to decide which way I want to go this video was very helpful !! Thank you for sharing 💙✨
Thank you for this video. I was wanting to invest and start making my own T-shirts’ but was scared. You make this look look really simple! Do you have a video that shows how to bedazzle or put rhinestones on shirts?
Just found you and subscribed. I can't handle those over-cheerful channels, where they've had like 10 Starbucks before they film, I just turn them off. I like that you're into it, but not crazy hyper. Subscribed!
Hi! I get it from Craft Cutter Supply- google them for their website. I use cotton and cotton polyester blends, they do hold up well through washings. I’ve had my Heat Press for about 2 1/2 years now 😊✨
651vinyl.com. Go for siser easy weed Matte finish. There better quality vinyl you use, the longer the shirt lasts, the easier it is to weed, and the easier it is to press
That was great. Could someone help me with a question? I have a heat press how and where do I order custom business logo heat transfers. Very confusing
Thank you Tracie for this great tutorial! I am making my 1st shirts for my wife's new company and am still just learning and I have a question. I see you reused the same teflon paper for the small design at the bottom. Is this paper infinitely reusable? Or do you recommend using a new sheet everytime for the most part?
Thank you for uploading this my brother just asked me to help him with shirts and I'm a beginner this really helped a lot seems like it'll be easy but before I actually start I'll have him test my skill first and see how I'll actually do and see what he'll say
Hi Kimberly! You can go to craftcuttersupply.com also my cutter machine is a Silhouette Cameo 🤗✨ Check out the link at the end of this video to see the cutter machine.
Thank you so much for all the info! I purchased 3 12"x5' rolls or 651 oracal for $2.50 each from cutz vinyl! I'm fairly new to all this, and hadn't seen it that low. :-) Also, as a woman born in May I felt personally connected to your video. 🤣😂🤣
Awesome Marcellina! Just remember HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl) is what you need for pressing t-shirts and Oracle 651 is for putting images to basically stick to glass and metal etc. like stickers on car windows, to metal cups, glasses and mailboxes. 👍🏽 I also have links to 2 other videos and more info in the drop down description box below this video.
Hi Tracie! Thanks for the great videos, so helpful. I was wondering if you could share what's the best way to care for the tshirts so the vinyl lasts as long as the shirt does? thanks!
Hi! Wherever you purchase your vinyl from, they usually send instructions- But I actually just wash in medium to cold water or how the t-shirt garment specifies. The vinyl doesn’t seem to sensitive as my t-shirts are washed with other clothes according to color. My vinyl has not cracked or peeled and I’ve made my t-shirts a few years ago, I hope this helps! 🙌🏽
Hey!! Starting my own business and I was wondering- do you have a link for the transparent paper your used to transfer your design? Also do you just insert it into your printer and print the design or how do you use it? Thank you!
@@erinhartranft2998 hi! as far as i know you just need transfer paper (theres different kinds for different shirt colours) and print onto it with an inkjet printer
@@thewolfgamer Hi Alex ! Please help me on this: (1) What is the affordable HEAT PRESS machine that I can find online? (2) What's the name of the TRANSFER PAPERS that I can ask locally or search online ? (give me a hint) I believe those are the TWO MAJOR items to have. EMMA (Tanzania)
It's heat transfer vinyl. You absolutely DO NOT load that into an ink jet printer. You need ink jet printable vinyl for that. You need a vinyl cutter to make these designs. Cutters can start anywhere from $150 and up depending on what you are looking for and what to do with it. You need a whole separate machine with software to do this. Just do some Google search on Bing and watch a bunch of UA-cam videos. Don't just look at one video you will never get any answers like that. You just gotta do your homework.
Hi Stacey! Great video. Just curious , I've seen in other videos is important to see protective gear masks for the fumes when heat pressing transfers? Is it true ? Would appreciate your transparency and info on this . Thank you
Hi Malcom! Yes, you do need a computer. Please look in the drop down description box below this video and all the buying information including 2 additional video links is there. Have a great and blessed day! 🙌🏼✨
Thank you for the tutorial. What kind of vinyl do you use.? I bought one and is just the vinyl do i have to buy the sticky paper too? Sorry i just bought my machine.
Hi Vontay! I have the PowerPress Heat Press that I purchased from Amazon as well as the Silhouette Cameo I use for designing and cutting the vinyl design. If you are interested the links are provided in the drop down description box below this video. Have a great day 😊
Hello there, I wanted to start my t-shirt business some time ago. I bought a lot of pre-design transfer vinyl, but I dropped the plan. If you are interested in checking them out, please message me.
Are these wash machine save then? Does the professional heat press help that? I've make a couple t-shirts with just a regular iron and after a few washings the letters start peeling off.
Hi Ashley! Yes, I have made several go myself and many for others. Mines have lasted- I haven’t had any problems with them peeling or anything. Also make sure to use professional grade heat transfer vinyl.
This was perfect!! After watching this, I was comfortable enough to use my heat press for the first time and quickly knocked out a 6 t-shirt order!!!

Hi with the silhouette cameo is that machine the same as the cricket or better?
@@traciesplace thank you for all your helpful information!! :D
Omg I have been searching and searching for help with this and your video is the only video helped and made me feel confident in doing this just when I was bout to give up
God bless thanks soo much
This is awesome and simple I always wanted to get a press to design my own shirts, but thought it was too complicated & your video was the 1st that I came across.... your tutorial was very helpful.. thank you for sharing 😘
Thank you Traci! If you would like to purchase the Heat press or the Silhouette design cutter, the links to Amazon are below! 🤗✨
Thank you so much
Hi! No- it was not super hard to unlock. Thank you so much for watching 😊 ✨
After you wash these t-shirts, does the design still look good?
Hi! Yes- the designs hold up well, mine are still good! 👍🏽
THANK U SO MUCH GODDESS, I NEEDED THIS 🤞🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
You’re so very welcome! 😊✨
I was looking at one of these machines and an embroidery one trying to decide which way I want to go this video was very helpful !! Thank you for sharing 💙✨
Awesome! So glad I could help! 🤗🙌🏽💗
Thank you for this video. I was wanting to invest and start making my own T-shirts’ but was scared. You make this look look really simple! Do you have a video that shows how to bedazzle or put rhinestones on shirts?
How is the power press holding up. Thanks for a reply.
Gabe
The Heat Press is still working very well! I’ve had it about 3 1/2 - 4 years now 🙌🏽
Girl. You are a GODSEND!
Thank you!!! Glad I could help! 🤗✨
Just found you and subscribed. I can't handle those over-cheerful channels, where they've had like 10 Starbucks before they film, I just turn them off. I like that you're into it, but not crazy hyper. Subscribed!
Thank you so much! 🤗✨👍🏽
This is great ! I have the same (new) heat press and top is up and how do you lock it down after use to stay down ? Thanks
Hi, no I don’t lock it down 👍🏽
Hello! Where do you get your vinyl? Or what material do you use? Does it hold up pretty well? Also has your heat press lasted a good while?
Hi! I get it from Craft Cutter Supply- google them for their website. I use cotton and cotton polyester blends, they do hold up well through washings. I’ve had my Heat Press for about 2 1/2 years now 😊✨
Hey I know a good place you can get vinyl. They are called Ante up graphics. They are on UA-cam as well.
Hi there! Teflon sheets are just protection not to overheat or scorch the item- yes, you can reuse 🤗👍🏽
Thank you for uploading this my brother just asked me to help him with shirts and I'm a beginner this really helped a lot seems like it'll be easy but before I actually start I'll have him test my skill first and see how I'll actually do and see what he'll say
Love your video can you direct me to a good printer to buy and print paper for my designs??
You are are a God sent..I have been racking my brains out trying to design in Photo Shop. Thank you soo much. I have everything but the Cameo.
Hey!! Starting my own business and I was wondering- do you have a link for the transparent paper your used to transfer your design? Also do you just insert it into your printer and print the design or how do you use it? Thank you!
That’s what I’m wondering. I don’t know what to use for the designs
@@erinhartranft2998 hi! as far as i know you just need transfer paper (theres different kinds for different shirt colours) and print onto it with an inkjet printer
@@thewolfgamer Hi Alex ! Please help me on this:
(1) What is the affordable HEAT PRESS machine that I can find online?
(2) What's the name of the TRANSFER PAPERS that I can ask locally or search online ? (give me a hint)
I believe those are the TWO MAJOR items to have.
Hi what else i need to start print t shirt, can you tell me the all material i need? Thanks
Thank you, it was very informative. Have a nice day
You’re welcome Carmelo! 🙌🏽✨
Hi Stacey! Great video. Just curious , I've seen in other videos is important to see protective gear masks for the fumes when heat pressing transfers? Is it true ? Would appreciate your transparency and info on this . Thank you
Wow thank your for teaching me how to do it a I’m Still I’m shock it’s looks beautiful
You’re welcome, so glad I could help! 🤗✨🙌🏽
Love this woman straight to the point 🙌
Thank you so much 🤗
Hi Tracy please tell how can I start my tea shirt business what's kinda press do I need also would I need a computer as well please help me
Hi Malcom! Yes, you do need a computer. Please look in the drop down description box below this video and all the buying information including 2 additional video links is there. Have a great and blessed day! 🙌🏼✨
Thank you for this video. I have my own designs but how do I make them into a pressable form? I mean the plastic etc etc
Thank you- watch the other videos in the drop down description box below ⬇️ this video 👍🏽
I came to the right place I’m starting my business I wanna know everything
Thank you for the tutorial. What kind of vinyl do you use.? I bought one and is just the vinyl do i have to buy the sticky paper too? Sorry i just bought my machine.
I wanted to know which which press machine did you get I was thinking about starting my own shirt business
If you are interested in checking them out, please message me.
excellent presentation, you are born for this!
Thank you so much!🙌🏽
After you wash it will it stay like that or will it scribble up?
Hi Autumn! I haven’t had a problem with any of my shirts after washing them 🤗✨🙌🏽
Thank you! I've never used a heat press before, and was really intimidated.
You’re welcome!
Hello what’s your opinion on a hand held circut press!
hi nice video , which printer do you use
Hi! Thank you- I use a cutter called a Silhouette Cameo ✨
