There is a small drive shaft on the tuff cut ,there is a small metal cover that protects the pulley on the back of that shaft ,that the pto belt attaches to. That cover was bent rubbing on the pulley.

Probably , both get the job done. But I was getting paid by the hour. So there’s that. Both are great depending on the situation and environment.
